Alfred hugged her tightly when Veronica started crying, and he said.
"We will protect our daughter."
"But Alfred, every pupil is like my daughters and sons. How can I put them in danger? I simply can't bear the weight of my sins any longer."
Alfred stroked her back, determined that this time he would let nobody do it. He had to take action as quickly as he could. If he needed to sacrifice himself, he would do it, but he wouldn't bring his wife and daughter along.
"No, we won't." He remarked as he held her face and made her glance his way.
"If it's necessary, I'll go to extremes. But I will not let him touch you guys."
Veronica's eyes tightened when she heard him. In a quivering voice, she asked.
"What are you planning to do, Alfred?"
Alfred remained silent in response. He nodded, blinking his eyes. He said this as he walked toward their room, still holding her.
"We'll discuss it later. You should relax right now."
