|The blue sky flooded the tall city as the bright sun ahead bathed it in light from directly overhead, the tallest building towering above the landscape, casting stark shadows across the civilians. Atop the tallest building with an antenna sat a few people, the focus of much of the day's media coverage. There were two people, one sat with their feet dangling over the edge, the other helplessly tied to the buildings spire.|

Pulling a whiteboard out of nowhere, the man with his feet over the edge looked to be quite bored, despite being there of his own volition. He suddenly stood up and seemed to strike up conversation with the women he'd taken hostage, who seemed to be actively engaging with him. Helicopters circled the building, taking turns at occasional intervals to swap place and refuel, despite the lack of the hero's arrival.|

He holds up the board again, showing his drawing of a bird to the officers circling his position, giving a proud smile to them. Turning back around to face his prisoner, he seems to consult her, and it appears to get him an answer he was looking for.|

Looking from his captive to the helicopters, the capturer gazes judgmentally at the pilots, but his attitude quickly shifts. Across the city, a streak rushes through the sky, and the helicopters circling the spire turn and edge out of the way of the hero. As they approach, the air in front seems to ignite and the buildings around seem to flex as they pass. The hero doesn't seem to be slowing, and the man on the building begins to panic. He starts to try to untie the girl, but is unable to before the superhero arrives, the shock of him landing knocking the kidnapper off his feet, pushing the copters back, and cracking the antenna, leading it to plummet along with the captive.|
*Thunk*
The whiteboard bounces off of the heroes head as the villain jumps, accelerating towards his hostage. He yanks on the ropes holding her in place, finally untying them, putting them both into rapid free fall. Spinning, he positions himself under the girl, hoping that he can protect the girl from the fall. As they both quickly approach the ground, he shuts his eyes, unaware of the next few seconds.|
