Chapter 7 - Expression

The god pondered what to put in place of the uninspiring infinity of his surroundings as he sat there. They begin with a straightforward concept to fill the space they occupy under the strain of his thoughts, making room from which to construct the rest of reality. They sensed a new force tugging them now that the arena had been constructed, a fresh longing from the abyss.

Shaping 3 celestial bodies, the god willed the Earth, Sun, and Moon into existence. The Earth appeared first, a planet with a variety of landscapes, water, and life, but it was unable to flourish because of a lack of energy and light. The Sun, the warm, caring brother who gives life to the first world's dismal environment, solves this issue, but this light also brought peril. The light drew behemoths that the god had never planned to produce; they originated from something less than god and much more evil, which the god had pushed beneath the world they had created like dust under a rug. The Moon, the youngest and smallest of the siblings, stood in front of the Earth, across from the Sun, protecting it from the dangers that were drawn to the Sun like moths to a flame.

The god was pleased with his creation but wasn't quite done. They scattered deterrents across the sky, planting artificial stars that shone brightest at night as false lures for the terrifying giants.

Satisfied, the deity left for Earth and strolled among the creatures, taking in all the consequences they'd never meant. Many of the god's creatures traveled with him over Earth, but none were as devoted as the gorillas. The apes would precisely replicate his movements until long after the others had fallen asleep, only stopping to eat and then catching up rapidly. The god decided to give the monkeys a present as his final gift to the planet after coming to this revelation.

Taking the loyal monkeys, the god imparted their own ability to the sole ape who'd followed him since the beginning, the ability to create. As long as the new animal believed, the god would fulfill their wish. As the god stared at it, a new light blossomed in it's eyes, a name for this new creature coming to mind.

"Hello my precious creation," the god spoke for the first time. "My special human."
