The boss loomed over him once again, his efforts rarely showing progress, but his resolve still stood unbreakably in the room. The blade swung down, slicing his last bit of health away, cutting him cleanly in two. As both halves fell to the floor, he blinked, his eyes opening in front of the campfire he rested at the evening before. With a grunt he stood and prepared to retread the path to the bosses room, absentmindedly running through the enemies along the way, enemies he'd defeated at least a hundred times. Impatiently defeating the last enemy he approached the giant doors guarding the chamber, letting his stamina regen before pushing them open.
Lining the walls were worn pillars and at the farthest end was a large throne, which the boss stood up from every time he'd entered. At the bottom of his vision something appeared titling the lord as 'Unholy Scourge, Aleph' and displaying the bosses current health, which always restarted completely filled. Aleph was humanoid in shape, but massive in size, cloaked completely in dark armor that's embroidered with yellow runes. From standing up, the lanterns against the wall light, the flame approaching him before Aleph can move forward.
From his inventory, he pulled out a two blades - one long, taller than himself, another short blade, with an intricate cross-guard - then stanced himself in preparation for Aleph's first attack. Aleph unsheathed a menacing bone-white backsword, alight with black runes that absorbed light from the torches.
Aleph dragged his blade downward, cutting the floor from between the attackers legs, as he dodged to the side. Running towards Aleph, he threw the small blade right of him, causing the pathfinding to step left, using the opening to shove the sword between the chinks in armor. Spinning around, he yanks the sword out, dodging Aleph's downward stab, and picking the knife from the floor. Bracing for the next attack, the warrior puts the blade in the trajectory of Aleph's, whose blade dragged against the small one before catching against the guard and tossing the attacker across the room towards the throne.
Checking his health, the attacker injected heals to regen the small hp lost. Aleph had a little less than 90% of his health left, which was better than previous runs, but it wasn't enough.
The blade slammed through his chest, cleaving his body like butter, the split halves falling to the floor separately. His conscious faded and he opened his eyes in front of the boss room again.
