"Your majesty!" The soldier whispered. He held his hand towards me as his gaze bounced from me to the castle. His face was full of worry, and he shook his hand at me. "This way!"
My eyes were glued to the burning castle. The flames jumped in the air and danced over the walls.
The soldier, too impatient for his own good, grabbed hold of my arm and pulled me away from the scene.
*Beautiful* I thought. There was nothing more I wanted than to see this building burn to ashes. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end because several people were already putting out the flames.
"We don't have time to stand and stare. We need to hide you." The soldier had given up trying to pull me away and decided to throw me over his shoulder.
I didn't mind. It gave me a chance to watch the flames.
