I had assigned the Architects to the tunnels.
"Remain hidden for now. When I give the signal, flood the tunnels" I instructed them via the Sagittarius System.
"What do you intend to do?" Bahn VIII asked.
"I'm going to try and negotiate with the enemy though of course I know they won't listen" I said.
Bahn VIII nodded.
"For now, flood only the tunnels in the Hunt Grounds. This should confine the Bloodhounds" I instructed.
"Leave that to the Architects. I'll ensure they get your message" Bahn VIII said.
"Now, I need to assemble a team of Archers that are skilled in Horseback Archery" I explained.
"Sage, my friend is the leader of the Archers in this Village" Joseph said.
"Then I need you to talk to him. You can do this via the Sagittarius System" I instructed Joseph.
"Sure, just give me a minute" Joseph said and prepared himself.
"Sage? Sage, can you hear me?" Joseph called.
"Are you in my head Jo?" Sage seemed surprised.
"A lot of things have happened of late. The long and short of it is this. The Ancient Guardians have returned. We'll soon be leaving this Village for a certain Mountain Island at the Coast but we'll need to clear a path through the Weaver Of Calamity's Army. For that we need your Archers skilled in Horseback Archery" Joseph explained the situation.
"The Ancient Guardians huh? Phew! Well that's news to me. Fine then, I'll assemble my Archers but first we'll need to make some preparations" Sage said and the line cut.
Sage immediately got to work assembling his Archers. There were five thousand of them all, skilled in Horseback Archery.
"You heard Jo. We need to prepare. Make sure all our arrows are tipped with sap from the trees surrounding the Village. Do this without killing the Trees" Sage instructed his men.
Meanwhile, the Architects flooded the tunnels beneath the Hunt Grounds trapping the Bloodhounds there since they began to weaken to the point of paralysis whenever their positions overlapped with the positions of the tunnels.
"The Bloodhounds are instinctual, not necessarily evil. I'd like to avoid destroying them if it can be helped. Our real enemy are the Giga-Wraiths, Omnicron and Wraiths" I explained.
THE NEXT DAY…
All the preparations were in place. Joseph, Sage and the five thousand Horseback Archers prepared to leave the Village. We rode to the Irrigation Canals till we were face to face with the Giga-Wraiths and Omnicron.
"You've finally come to surrender, I see. A brave but futile effort. Our overlord has ordered us to wipe you all out" the leader Giga-Wraith said.
"Joseph, brace yourself. I'm about to utilize some of my abilities and it may take a toll on you later on" I advised.
"Go ahead. As long as our people are freed, I don't care what happens to me" Joseph said.
I nodded with a smile.
"SEAL OF ENDREGEN UNLOCK! SEAL OF KOLMNID UNLOCK! SEAL OF RYUGAEIA…UNLOCK!" I called out.
Watery Armour materialized around Joseph, a Fiery Cape spread out of his Armour. The Golden Insignia of the Lion decorated his back and his face was cloaked in shadow.
"IT…IT'S YOU! SANZIRI NIGHTBANE!" the leader of the Giga-Wraiths screamed in horror.
"I think you gravely misunderstand the situation. We haven't come to surrender. We've come to negotiate the terms of your surrender" I spoke through Joseph.
I noticed that the entire Army of Giga-Wraiths was trembling and the Omnicron were becoming restless.
"You jest! What could you possibly achieve against an army six hundred thousand strong with a meager five thousand men" the leader Giga-Wraith said.
"Make that an army four hundred thousand strong. Your Bloodhounds have already been defeated" I said.
"Impossible! There were two hundred thousand Bloodhounds in all!" the Giga-Wraith leader screamed.
"And if you don't surrender now, I assure you by the end of this day, your army will be reduced to two hundred thousand strong. It's a hint. You either take it while the taking's good or face the music" I said seriously.
"You're bluffing!" the Giga-Wraith leader screamed. "Besides, even if it were true…how could we possibly face Lord Zanböngfar after failing to carry out his orders?!" the leader Giga-Wraith screamed.
"While you've been busy with your project of enslaving my people…your Lord Zanböngfar was toppled from Mount Olympus. He barely has the strength left to maintain his form. Obviously, me and my comrades…an army of eight were behind that. That should tell you between myself and Zanböngfar…one of us is more fearful and I obviously lived to tell the tale" I said with a smirk.
"Just eight people overthrew our entire horde nested within Mount Olympus?!" the Giga-Wraith leader trembled at the thought.
"Eight hundred years ago, it was two of us each against your army that had enslaved our people. Now try to imagine what we could do with five thousand Horseback Archers" I said and raised an arm.
My Archers immediately raised their bows and pointed them at the Giga-Wraiths. The Giga-Wraiths trembled even more and the Omnicron were more agitated.
"He's not bluffing. Even the Omnicron are agitated" the Giga-Wraith leader noted.
"You try and imagine the sort of promotion I'll get once I capture you and drag you before Lord Zanböngfar" the Giga-Wraith leader laughed maniacally.
I sighed.
"In the end it comes down to the Food Chain huh? A bunch of morons. I hope you've heard the myths of the titan Anubis. It's said that when a person died, he had to face Anubis' Scales Of Fate. The dead person's heart would then be weighed on the Scales against a feather from Horus" I said and clenched my fists.
My Archers pulled their bows to full length. The Giga-Wraiths in response tugged at the reins of the Omnicron and Dark Energy began to materialize in the Omnicron's mouth.
"If the person's heart was heavier than the feather, they'd go off to eternal torment. If it was lighter than the feather, they'd go off to eternal bliss" I said and pointed my arm forward.
"There's no way a fleet of puny arrows made by mortals can injure us. The same cannot be said of our Reign Of Synchronized Hellfire!" the Giga-Wraith leader laughed.
"Utter morons. You forget that attack takes a while to charge" I said as the arrows fired by my Archers knocked some Giga-Wraiths clean off the backs of the Omnicron.
"You underestimated us…" I said as the slain Giga-Wraiths, five thousand in all faded away. "...First Blood goes to us!" I declared. "CHARGE!" I ordered my men and they indeed charged but not towards the Giga-Wraiths but away from them.
Leading the charge were Joseph and Sage. The Giga-Wraith and Omnicron of course now hellbent on our destruction charged after us.
"Lead them to the plains!" I ordered.
"Conserve your arrows for when you really need them" Sage instructed.
The Archers in the rear aimed their arrows at the pursuing Giga-Wraiths. Whenever they fired their shots, the second to the last line at the rear would open up allowing them to fall into that position to reload their arrows while the Archers that had already loaded their arrows fell to the rear and fired at the pursuing Giga-Wraiths. Whenever the Giga-Wraith Army were about to fire the Reign Of Synchronized Hellfire, I'd give the order
"Formation! The Enemy Has Rattled The Hornet's Nest!" and the Army of Archers would disperse causing the Reign Of Synchronized Hellfire to miss and thus deal minimal area of effect damage to the Archers.
After the Giga-Wraiths took their shot, I'd give the order.
"Formation! Defend the Beehive!" and the Army would converge and resume to shoot at the Giga-Wraiths.
In the scuffle that ensued, over one hundred thousand of the Weaver Of Calamity's Army were lost however my people were instantly revived by Phoenix Tears along with their horses the moment they were downed.
"I see the Plains!" Sage called.
"Good, they're headed out to the open! There, we'll have a clear shot! The fools!" the Giga-Wraith leader called to his Army.
The moment we entered the Plains, I gave the order
"MOGURA! MOGURAM!"
Our Army Of Five Thousand sailed across the Plains.
"Flood the tunnels now!" Bahn VIII ordered the Architects who immediately detonated the Walls keeping the Sea Water out of the tunnels beneath the Plains. The tunnels beneath the Plains were constructed such that a number below ten thousand horses could simultaneously stay above ground without the ground collapsing but immediately a number of horses exceeding ten thousand attempted to cross the plains simultaneously, the ground would collapse into the tunnels and such was the fate of the Weaver Of Calamity's Giga-Wraith Army. They collapsed into the tunnels just as the tunnels were flooded and the Phoenix Tears in the Water vanquished them all.
"Take a bath! It'll wash the Devil right out of you!" I said with my arms folded while glaring into the pit.
