As soon as Kind had seen the driver back in the villa, he quickly dressed up and was on his way out, down the stairs and into the car. Wale called after him but he wouldn't have it, he insisted on returning back to the city. He feared if he stayed another day he won't be able to leave that place alive. Rubbing his back, he groaned and the surprised driver asked if he was okay. Kind assured him he was fine then asked about their departure. "The young master asked me to bring more supplies so once I drop them off in the house, we can leave, however I fear there is no way out of this island now, the tide is high so a better alternative will be to get in touch with the other master to pick you up."
Kind felt trapped. The other master the driver had spoken of was definitely Todo and he knew he'd eventually have to see Todo anyway. Wale appeared and seemed to be looking at the car as he spoke with the driver. After sometime, he showed up with his bags and sat next to him. "We're going home K Bunny, you should have told me sooner you wanted to leave." Kind responded begrudgingly, "If you touch me one more time I'm going to break and I promise I'll punch you." Wale stared at Kind's already formed fist and smiled. "I promise to be gentle next time."
"There is no next time!" Kind shouted, moving further and further away from Wale. He could't wait to get away from him, it was surprising how much stamina Wale had considering he hated working out. "Damn you I'm so jealous!" He said out loud. Wale was not buff like him but he looked fit. He'd eat anything he wanted and never gained weight. He'd loose any excess weight from a simple walk just as fast as Kind would gain from dreaming about pizza.
After a long ride, they were in another location. Wale seemed to take great caution not use the same location twice, since this was not the same place the driver had picked him up with Cherry. There was a chopper parked alone by the beach and Todo appeared from it. He seemed surprisingly happy to see them both. Kind was speechless, dumbfounded by his guilt. Todo reached out to him directing him to the chopper. "I'll take you both home this time. I've arranged for your stay at my mother's mansion." He said, directing his statement to Wale.
Wale watched Kind as he kept glancing at Todo. He wanted to say something to him but it was too noisy for anyone to converse. Besides, they had muffled their ears and the environment seemed improper for him to throw a tantrum.
As soon as they landed, they were immediately escorted to their new location and Todo's mother welcomed them happily. Kind felt awkward but Wale seemed to blend in well with the sophisticated as he always had. Excusing himself, he asked to use the bathroom to which Todo had been happy to show him. Once alone, Kind wanted to say something to Todo but didn't know where to start. "I believe you'll need a change of clothes before any explanations which I find unnecessary at this point." Todo said as he intensely stared at Kind. "I can't blame you with an animal like that around, at least next time, tell him to stop marking you." Todo extended his hand to rub Kind's ear. He tilted Kind's neck to check the back of it and scoffed. "Good thing this time, he didn't bite the back of your neck." Todo turned his gaze to Kind and covered his mouth. "Oops."
It's true he had excused himself since he felt out of place, and guilt for betraying Todo's trust was killing him, however, Todo seemed to be handling everything so calmly. He'd personally picked them up from the island and brought them here and now they were at his mother's home, where he probably grew up. Kind looked at the mirror once he was alone, and was surprised by the sight of himself. Aside from the obvious evidence Wale had left of their lovemaking, his mustache had grown and patches of beard pecked his fingers as he rubbed. He'd always liked staying clean shaven, it disappointed him to have not checked himself in the mirror for the past three days.
When he left the washroom, one of the helps directed them to where the others were. He found them discussing Wale's parents. Apparently Todo's parents were acquaintances of Wale's. The discussion later shifted to business as they spoke of how to bring down some people Wale had mentioned to Todo. There was an exchange of documents, signing and finally Todo's mother turned to him. "You're welcomed to stay here as long as you like or until the matter is resolved. The decision is yours, at least that is what Wale here has said.
Kind was completely lost and from the way they looked at him, it seemed they wanted him to say something. "I have no reason to stay here and I do not believe it is my decision to decide for everyone. However, I suggest that you stay here Wale, it will be easy to discuss freely any updates with Todo regarding your case."
Todo stood up from his seat and said, "I agree with Kind that staying here will be convenient to our cause, however," Todo turned his gaze to Kind. "Wale has vehemently insisted that you must stay behind despite our efforts to convince him otherwise." Turning to look at Wale, he continued, "Kind can stay with me in my mansion, I'll keep him safe incase anything arises however, there are matters that my mother wished to share with you concerning the passing of your parents which I'm unaware of since she insists on sharing them only with you and that is why you need to remain here since you are a vital part of this so please, cooperate."
"I'm answering you clearly and completely that wherever Kind goes I'm going." Wale stated to which Kind stood up from his seat and started knocking his head. "Will you listen you dummy! They are trying to help you here by giving you a safe hideout so stop insisting on having your way!" Kind stopped when Wale begged him to stop knocking his head as he shielded it with his hands "Fine I'll stay! I'll stay!"
Todo and his mother looked at each other, surprised if that was all it took to convince Wale. Kind looked at them. "There, it's decided." He thanked Todo's mother and requested if they could leave sooner.
When they reached Todo's mansion, Kind dragged him to the room they once shared before Todo moved in with him. Once inside, he turned to Todo and spoke, " I'm sorry I slept with him and I'm sorry I don't regret it so if you want, you can hit me as much as you like."
Kind was surprised when Todo hugged him, he couldn't help but reciprocate. "You don't have to be sorry, I would have done the same if I were you. Besides, you had been honest from the very start so it was only a matter of time before it happened." Kind abruptly ended their embrace, shocked that Todo was being very diplomatic about the matter. "Look, I didn't go there with any intentions in mind, I did my best to stay in my lane but Wale, damn him, he makes me so mad sometimes!" Kind formed a fist, trying to control his anger towards Wale. "He planned everything and I was weak to his advances so please do not blame him for my weaknesses. I should have been stronger...but...apparently, he has known how I feel about him for sometime now."
Seeing that Todo was not surprised, Kind asked, "How come you are so calm about this?"
"Will it help if I get upset?" Todo asked rhetorically. "I admit it hurt when I discovered Wale's trick too late but then, eventually, something similar would have happened. Apparently, Swalha was right all along. Wale will always get in the way of anyone who shows you affection that almost matches his so as much as I hate to say it, I believe we can make better friends with each other since Wale will always get in the way of anything that concerns loving you. So with that in mind, I'm breaking up with you Kind, and I hope we can become good friends despite our past. However, if Wale gets in the way of our friendship, please allow me to break his nose again."
Kind thought how Todo had said two things that didn't make sense. So he had been the one who punched Wale for it wouldn't have been the driver in the island. Besides, Wale's scar was recent and also, Todo had spoken of Wale biting the back of his neck. He didn't directly mention his name but it was obvious he was talking about Wale.
When Kind didn't say a word, Todo assured him he'd be alright, after all, Swalha had managed to move on. "She told you about that? Oh my goodness I'm so embarrassed!" Kind covered his face with his hands as he walked backwards then stopped. "I've hurt so many people."
Todo laughed at his reaction. He clearly understood why Wale was unwilling to let Kind go. He looked like someone who needed protecting but didn't need protection either. "It's amazing how you make me laugh despite my broken heart. However, I don't regret meeting you and your friends. The past couple of months have been the best times of my life."
