Chapter 19 - Heads Fall Like Flies

Han Guo immediately felt his legs give out. The killing intent was something unlike he has ever felt before. He immediately weighted his options, retreat being the best option. Although the lost of his elders here would be an extremely tough hit against the Han Clans military might, it would be a sacrifice he was willing to make in exchange for his life.

Immediately, he pulled out his own teleportation talisman in an attempt to escape. He relaxed as he sent qi into the talisman, ensuring his safety. But, even after a couple seconds, the grand estate that he possessed in the Han Clan was no where to be seen. Confused, he looked to the talisman in his hand. Though, when he started to feel that his hand was a little numb, he looked down to his hand, it slid off. Cut off clean.

"Leaving so soon?"

He looked up in front of him. Xi Meiyings red eyes shone into his soul, merely a meter away. He tried to move, but all the muscles in his body locked up. Xi Meiying reached her hand out, bring her pointer finger from his nose to his chest.

"Maybe, giving your heart is the best gift, I would say equally so compared to the Sky Emperor."

She dug her pointer finger into his heart, and with a circle motion, she gained access to his heart as the muscle and tissue fell out. As Han Guo stared in horror at the sight of his own beating heart, Xi Meiying laughed as she reached out at it. With the intense fear of death, Han Guo was able to overcome the intense pressure emitting from Xi Meiyings killing intent. As he reached to his heart to commit suicide, his arm was caught by a hand so soft, comparing it to silk wouldn't be doing it justice.

"We can't have you damaging your gift before I receive it." She laughed.

She put strength into her hold, separating Han Guos arm from his shoulder.

Han Guo didn't even have the strength to scream. Like an eagle, she clawed at Han Guos heart, ripping it out cleanly.

Han Guo was delighted, instant death would be the best way to died. But as he closed his eyes, the darkness beyond life never reached him. Still feeling fully conscious, he opened his eyes again. As he looked at the hole where his heart was supposed to be, he saw that invisible blood veins that connected the veins his nonexistent heart was supposed to be pumping. The blood streams seemingly flowed from one vein to another as it worked without a heart.

"What… is this?"

Xi Meiying smiled at Han Guoa frightened face. She raised her hand to her cheek.

"Such an easy death is below you, I wouldn't want to grant you the same death I would give to a dog~"

She lifted his chin up. As his eyes focused on her beautiful face, two fingers suddenly plunged into her eyes. His face looked like a skeleton that was crying blood, his eye sockets, two black holes.

"You have no need for your eyes, you have already seen me plenty. Eyes are not needed to feel pain."

Xi Meiying waved her hand over him, red crystal started formed around his body.

Although Han Guo was without vision, he could feel his body being enveloped in a sort of ice. The feeling was very cold, but at the same time, it felt as if it was ripping his skin from both the inside and out.

As the crystal finished enveloping Han Guo, Xi Meiying contained her killing intent. Immediately, the Xi and Han Clan elders were able to once again stand having been released from the fierce killing intent.

Xi Fengge stood up, raising his head to the floating Xi Meiying with a giant chunk of Crystal beside her. Although the crystal was a dark red, it still remained transparent, allowing Xi Fengge to see the mess that was Han Guo. With a missing heart and eyes, Xi Fengge was rooted to the ground in shock.

As the Han Clan Elders watched their Patriarch seemingly dead in horror, Xi Meiying moved forward. The elders jumped back out of instinct. Seeing their reactions, Xi Meiying coldly smiled.

"Don't worry, your deaths won't be as miserable as your patriarchs."

Suddenly, the space in front of her shook. Appearing before her, Xi Fengge looked at her straight in the eyes. Xi Meiying did to, though her eyes stared forward as if no one was in front of her.

"They no longer have the need to fight, as you have disabled their Patriarchs ability to combat, they no longer have the power to contend us with you here."

Xi Meiying giggled.

"And why do you feel the need to inform me of something I'm well aware of?"

Xi Fengge frowned.

"Then I would hope you would make the right decision… and let them go"

Xi Fengge observed Xi Meiyings unusual state, and carefully choose his words. He had a feeling the Xi Meiying before him didn't prize their past relationship, and wouldn't hesitate should he go against her.

Xi Meiying smiled at his response.

"What? Did you they I was actually going to kill them? It was just to give them a little fright is all. You wouldn't think I was a killer… right Grandfather?"

Looking at Xi Meiyings sad face, Xi Fengge eyes darkened. Xi Meiying in turn laughed at him.

"You may all go. Hurry or I might change my mind~"

The elders immediately got up to leave. Taking flight, they quickly set in the direction of the Han Clan.

Seeing the figures of the elder in the distance, Xi Fengge let out a breath of relief.

'At least she has retained some human conscious' he said as he looked towards the giant red crystal.

Immediately after the elders disappeared from her sight, she took off towards the inner mountains of the Pylon range.

"What do we do now!? Our patriarch has been killed, with the Emperors warning, how will our Han Clan, which was about to preform mass migration, survive the onslaught of the many enemies of the surrounding domains? We no longer have our patriarch as support!" An older elder said.

With the feared prompted of discussion now put on the table, the elders began talking amongst themselves.

"Is returning to the Han Clan even an option? Even if we do attempt to move our clan towards the border, would we be able to protect that many people?"

"I say we ditch the Han Clan! Without the backing of an Emperor Qi Stage, any thoughts of retaining the current clan is lost!".

"We could ask the Sky Emperor for assistance! Even if that women was of the Grand Qi Stage, the Saints of the Sky would be able to defeat her in numbers."

"I don't believe the Sky Society would like to make and enemy of a practitioner of the Grand Qi Stage that was strong enough to take the arm of their Emperor!"

As they were conversing, the chatter suddenly ceased. The many hundreds of moving figures of elders followed suit with the noise, their bodies falling as their head separated from their neck.

None knew how they died.
