Chapter 21 - The Queen of Spirits

Xi Meiying looked towards the center of the plane, immediately taking off in its direction. Arriving at the absolute center of the plane, she landed and placed her hand on the ground. As she released her Blood Qi, runes appeared on the ground as they lifted up, revealing a deep circular void in the ground. Even with Xi Meiyings senses, she couldn't see to the end of the void. She reached her hand above the void as she lifted it up in a flick motion. A giant white cube manifested as it started rising up to her. This white cube had various runes on it as it shone a bright white.

'That is the prison I put her in. She is not conscious at this moment so you are free to take her out. Your spatial ring is way to store her. Once you fuse her with your husband, I have a rune formation that will release the bindings I set on her so that when she is fused you could release them'

Xi Meiying reached towards the cube as it opened up for her. It revealed a girl that seemed no more then 15. Both her eyes were closed as she floated in a curled position. The girls skin was very pale, her pure white hair matching it. Her eyebrows and eyelashes were white as well. Even though she was curled up, her stature was more petite. She wore no clothes as she remained motionless in the center of the white cube, many strings of pure white qi flowing from her.

As Xi Meiying held her hand up, it seemed to have a sort of attraction as the white cube floated towards her. She put it into her spatial ring. As soon as this happened, the whole plane started to shake. This time though, the shake wasn't temporary. Everything around her started to crumble, debris lifting up dust all around her.

But without a care in the world, Xi Meiying started flying towards the entrance. On the way, she spotted the familiar patriarch, though the only thing that allow her to identify him was his remnant qi that still lingered in the air. His body? It was completely crushed under many giant pieces of fallen rock. The Han Guo seemed to have shared the same fate.

As she pasted the entrance to the Alters plane, it collapsed behind her, no longer having a power sustaining it.

She walked up the staircase, sealing the hidden formation, making the estate seem completely back to normal, as if a plane didn't just collapse below it. She walked through the grand double doors as they closed behind her.

As she made her way out to the courtyard, she looked down at her spatial ring, her thumb rubbing against it. She smiled as her eyes shone.

"You will no longer be weak, Heji~"

Inner Residential Circle, Xi Clan

Xi Heji laid in his bed, his eyes closed. He found it strange Xi Meiying still hadn't returned, though he was never one to keep an eye on all that she did. Today was a strange day. The attack of the Han Clan wasn't at all unexpected, but what was told to him from his grandfather was that even the Sky Society was involved. He couldn't imagine, much like his own grandfather what their clan would have to possibly draw their attention. The Xi Clan wasn't weak at all, along with the Sky Society and Han Clan, they were the hegemonies of the Great Province of Gek'hial. But a power such as the Sky Society was beyond that of the two clans. Beside that fact, Xi Heji also found all things that revolved around Xi Meiying to be strange. Although she wouldn't tell him, he couldn't ignore the changes she has gone through. Her demeanor and aura are completely different. What could've happened to her? Was she always this way but was just hiding it? Her dark red hair and eyes a were complete change from before, was it really a side affect of her cultivation technique? Anyways, she said she would tell him in due time, and he wasn't in a rush to uncover all her secrets as she treated him just the same. Ceasing his thoughts, he fell asleep.

In the dark of the night, a figure sped past multiple buildings. Landing on an open window, the figure softly landed in.

Xi Meiying looked at the sleeping Xi Heji as she walked over with love in her red eyes. She placed her hand on top of Xi Heji's forehead, both ensuring that he won't wake up as well as allowing her connection to his soul point, located at the center of his mind. She connected her qi to the white cube inside her spatial ring, slowly transforming the spirit of the Pysla into his mind. Sweat started trickling down her head. Transferring and fusing a soul was no easy task. But because of the Goddess of Bloods memories, she knew how the transfer was done. The only problem was that her body wasn't built to withstand such a straining technique, so she was overworking her body to perform the transfer.

A couple of minutes later, she completed it. She got off her knees as she wiped the sweat off her face with a cloth. Her eyes suddenly shone red as she immediately became alert.

Behind her, Xi Fengge stood watching her. Because she was putting her all into the technique, she wasn't able to sense Xi Fengges approach, and of course, the goddess also didn't let her know as it would've distracted her concentration. Maybe it was also because she knew Xi Fengge didn't say anything for a reason.

"What have you done to him?"

Xi Meiying turned around as her eyes laid upon him.

"I have only his benefit in mind, Grandfather.."

"That doesn't answer my question."

Xi Fengge frowned as he walked towards Xi Heji. Xi Meiying suddenly appeared in front of him, her red eyes shining.

"It would be best if he isn't disturbed right now."

Xi Fengge stopped in front of her.

"I thought we were to stop keeping secrets? It seems you have another thing you have yet to let me know of."

He looked towards Xi Heji.

"And it's not as if I don't know your other secret. I don't think Xi Heji would mind at all if you kill a person or two. You believe his image of you to be too fragile, you worry over nothing. He doesn't love you because of your innocence but because of your actions."

Xi Meiyings pupils shook.

"How I want him to see me is up to me, you have no right to dictate the worth of my worries."

Xi Fengge shrugged as he turned around to walk to the doorway.

"The more you keep to yourself, the worse it is. Keeping secrets shows lack of trust, and you've done more than your share as of late."

Xi Fengge then disappeared from her vision.

Xi Meiying narrowed her eyes as she turned around, looking at Xi Heji. This lasted for a while before she also disappeared.
