1 Month later . . .
5th May arrived all too quickly for Raina. It seemed there was no stopping the passage of time. Her parents had already arranged for caterers and had the place decorated. The party was due to start at 7pm. She was still continuing her understudy practice and she was getting perfect each day. Her dad and mum were mostly at home these days, occasionally attending events.
Leroy was now managing the company with a few of her dad’s trusted advisors. So far, it was going well. However, he had been very busy of late so she hardly saw him to sit down and talk to him. Darryl had been offered a movie contract in Nigeria and had been away for 3 weeks now. She had wanted to ask Leroy if he would make it to the birthday party but she had not yet gotten the right opportunity to do so. For the past 3 nights it was a prayer she prayed before closing her eyes to sleep. She missed him deeply.
