Felicia heard someone knocking at the door, she opened the door and saw it was Desire, Chiamanda's boyfriend. He was Yoruba although he didn't look like it; he was fair in complexion, pointed nose, straight full hair, brown eyes, strong build, tall and had long legs. Quickly Desire sat down on the couch in their living room and began conversing with Felicia.
" Hi Felicia" Desire smiled
"Hi Desire. Please sit down." Felicia said and they both sat on the couch.
" Is Amanda in? She said I should come pick her up at home" Desire inquired
" Ohhh... No, she isn't in. She left here like an hour back but she would soon be home in about thirty minutes, I guess" Felicia said, hoping at heart that Amanda comes back early.
"Okay. I will wait a while from her. So tell me about you. It's been so long since I spoke to you. When I call, you don't pick up my calls, send you a message, you ignore it. Just how did I manage to offend you" Desire complains.
"Offend me? No way. You couldn't have offended me Desire" Felicia said
"Oh I'm guessing because I'm with your friend you're trying to save yourself the stress that comes with eyeing Amanda's man" Desire said and laughed.
" It's just girl code" Felicia replied him quickly, his words earning a short laughter from her.
" But we have been friends before Amanda, Licia" Desire tries convincing her but she was adamant.
"Sure. So how about studies? And Church? Family?" Desire asked, changing the topic of discussion which Felicia was grateful for.
" Everything is good by his grace" Felicia replied with a smile.
" And your...
" I don't know what you are talking about Desire" Felicia said quickly
"Of course you do. You very much know that I'm eager to know about the guy who has stolen your heart which could not be stolen by many sexy handsome men" Desire smiled.
" Stop it Desire. You know that's not true" Felicia smiled at Desire teasing.
" What we both know is that I have a solid memory and that I am really good at names" Desire said
" Whatever. You know that I want a simple life, no stress, no complicated issues, no family issues- you know what I mean" Felicia said, expecting him to understand her like he always did in the past when they were close friends well before the romantic relationship between him and Chiamanda.
"So relationships are a bother to you. See you acting like you've been into relationships in the last five years of your life" Desire laughed
"Yes maybe I haven't been into it but I know what I want and besides I am busy with studies and church" She reminded him again
"Church?" Desire questioned"
"Oh no Ire. Not talking about church with you today. You are almost impossible, how did I ever cope with you in the past" Felicia complained while her hand rested on her forehead.
" It's been so long since I heard you call me that. So sweet. I think I would really love to spend the rest of my life with you darling. You're more than everything I have..... Desire was interrupted by Amanda entry and Felicia's response ceased.
" What the hell is going on here? Are you in any way seducing my man?" Amanda said, pointing at Felicia.
" Excuse me, how could you even think such of me? Am I so low before your eyes? I can't believe you" Felicia was hurt and shocked at the same time. Desire just sat down with his head lowered as if he was disappointed at his girlfriend.
" Come off it Felicia, stop the emotional drama. I clearly heard my man saying he wants to be with you forever" Amanda was yelling at the top of her voice now.
"Oh really? I have told you many times, Ire is my friend nothing more or less. And we were friends before you two became a thing. You should trust him at least, I don't matter that much to you to earn that trust right? It's all good, now I know your true intentions" Felicia said, her eyes glistening with tears and walked away to her room.
" Desire, I don't care what you think about all of these. I know what I heard" Amanda insisted.
" What did you hear? You think if I wanted Felicia, I would wait till after you. Never!! FYI we were just talking and I was just teasing her. I wasn't even kneeling. First of all, you have to understand that Felicia and I were first friends before we came into the picture. Once you understand that,call me" Desire said and walked out of the apartment disappointed at his girlfriend.

Mrs Baker was three months pregnant now, she and her husband were going to check the sex of the baby. The pregnancy symptoms had only become worst over time with the nausea, dizziness, headaches, fatigue and appetite. She even had heightened smell during this stage and couldn't even eat fruits at all except apple.
Shortly after the ultrasound, the doctor announced to them that they were having a male child. Mrs Baker was very much happy together with her husband, after reaching home and telling the good news to her in-laws, called the girls and informed them.
