Mrs Baker left early to the bank by 5:30am as it was a bit far from home. Mr Baker decided to drop Audrey at school while May and Felicia found their way to their respective universities as May was a student at the university in Lagos while Felicia was acquiring her masters in another part ofLagos which was not so far from their place of residence excluding the traffic. Felicia had packed her luggages the night before and left the same time her Mom left for the bank. Audrey was a student of "**PEAK ONLY HIGH SCHOOL**and she was almost done with high school, and was aspiring to become a doctor.
**PEAK ONLY** had their own daycare, primary and high school and Audrey happened to have attended every single one of them. Her high school was seven streets away from the Baker's home. As soon as Mr Baker dropped Audrey at her school, her class teacher walked to Mr Baker quickly as Audrey ran to her class.
"Hello, Miss Abigail. How are you doing? And how can I help you ma?" Mr Baker greeted politely.
" Good morning sir, I'm very well. Thank you" Miss Abigail replied with British accent. Somewhere in Mr Baker mind- he wondered why Audrey wasn't speaking nicely at least a bit close to her class teacher's accent. He suddenly felt Audrey was wasting his resources but he laughed it off in his head saying he was too worried. " I would like to talk about Audrey sir and as regards to her studies" Miss Abigail continued.
"Sure, continue" Mr Baker said.
" Would you like to come into the classroom sir?" Miss Abigail asked politely. It was plausible to think of Miss Abigail as a polite woman, she dressed like one( She had a white long sleeved shirt on and a ash coloured tight skirt on with a long Ghana weaving braid hairdo)
"No thanks, I have to leave as soon as possible to work. So let's make it quick" Mr Baker told her.
" Sure sir. Audrey has been distracted during classes lately, I don't know what she's been investing her thoughts more on, then I see her self esteem going down and she has decided to do things that she has never been interested in since I have been her class teacher in her first year in senior high school" Miss Abigail told Mr Baker with concern
" What might those be?" Mr Baker asked concerned by all he heard from his daughter class teacher.
" She has been developing what children her age call "Puppy love"...
" Miss Abigail, I will appreciate it if you don't talk anymore in terms I don't understand"
" Sure sir. Being too interested in fashion and makeup, boys, magazines, entertainment news... I can't remember all though but just this few. I know all this is pretty much expected of adolescents but it's too sudden. And if she wants to fulfill that dream of hers, she has to be focused" Miss Abigail concluded quickly
" Boys??? and Audrey. I have never for once placed the two in one sentence. She has never been interested in all these you mentioned. Her mother would be as shocked as I am. " Mr Baker was shocked
"My worst fears are coming alive" Mr Baker murmured.
"What did you say sir? " Miss Abigail asked as she thought Mr Baker did say something to her.
" Nothing. Thanks for letting me know all these. I will see to it that something is done about these things you just told me and by the way who is the boy that my daughter has set her eyes on" Mr Baker was grateful about getting such news
" Oh his name is George. He also tops the class with your daughter most times" Miss Abigail smiled
"Thanks. I will get going" Mr Baker said and got into his car then drives away while Miss Abigail says okay as he drives away.
@The Hospital
" You sure don't want to come to the hospital anymore, Mike" Sam teased Mr Baker as he came to work
"Of course. But I have got to be here, you know" Mr Baker replied
"How is the hospital going?"
"Good Mike except that we have someone coming our way" Sam said. Mr Baker quickly wore his white coat and settled beside Sam before the huge counter which separated the patients from them. Soon, a young lady walked in and said she wanted to see one of them privately. They obliged her request and Mr Baker ushered her into his own office, he sat on his rocking chair, told her to sit on a seat opposite his and she did while he placed his hands on the table between them.
" Yes. Young lady. What is it you want to talk to me privately that is so urgent?" Concern laced Mr Baker voice.
"Yeah. I want to get abortion pills sir" She said after looking around the office, confirming that whatever she would have say after would be between her and the pharmacist.
Mr Baker didn't act panicked and asked patiently " And why do you want an abortion? Does your partner support this decision? Do your parents know about this decision you made?"
"No sir, my parents don't know about this pregnancy. They will be so sad and disappointed so that's why I want to get rid of it" the young lady said bitterly
"Well, I'm sorry. I can't be of help to you because we don't sell those pills, it's off the counter so unless you can get a prescription from one of the doctors- there's nothing I can do. How old is the pregnancy? Mr Baker asked
"4 weeks sir. Please help me sir" the young lady pleaded and knelt down on the ground away from her seat a bit.
" Please sit down. There is really nothing I can do to help you, it's against the ethnics of our job to terminate lives. So I advise you go home, tell your parents about it and prepare for the birth of the baby. The complications that comes with you taking those pills might be heavy, I could send you back to the hospital to carry out some tests and you can return after the test results are out. You might not be able to abort the baby, death or womb damage might come after and it could be safe for you to abort but I don't advise abortion. Please think about the baby not just yourself and tell your parents. Keep the child, it won't be easy but you do that and after his birth drop by to tell me your regrets hmm" Mr Baker advised.
"Sure sir. I will consider that sir. Thank you very much sir" The young lady said and walked out of Mr Baker office. Of course Mr Baker knew the lady had to make her own decision regardless of what he told her, to abort the baby elsewhere or keep it. Mr Baker walked to where Sam was and once took his seat again.
"It's what I think right" Sam asked
" Sure. I hope she does the right thing" Mr Baker hoped in his mind
" Me too" Sam agreed. Fortunately, Mr Baker had a partner who was righteous and wasn't greedy for money and hence always doing the right things.
Soon, another woman walked into the pharmacy.
" Do you have Carbamezapine?" She asked
"Yes we do and we have different brands so should I suggest one of the brand" Sam replied
" No thanks. I have a prescription paper here and I think it has Tegretol CR 200mg written in it. Please check and confirm" The woman said
" Can I get a prescription paper Ma'am?" Sam asked
"Sure" The woman said and gave him the prescription paper before Sam handed her the medicine while she paid and walked away.
May was quite skeptical about attending lectures since Mr Obaro would be coming to the lecture room about 2:15pm so she planned to leave early and of course such plan never works in Nigerian universities as she had to work on another lecturer project, their videography and photography lecturer project to be submitted at 6pm and she didn't remember as such happened. She only remembered when Mr Obaro came to the lecture room, she shouted **BAD!!** In her head, and of course what are you all thinking..... Plan ruined, she could only continue sitting and concentrate on the lecture as all lectures were important to her. She could only hope he had forgotten her face, or had an issue with recognizing people he had met before but that was ruined again because as Mr Obaro dropped the textbook he came with, he searched all around the class, he stared at her and smirked as if to say he remembered her. Then the lecture began, and a little after 5pm he left the lecture room and they had to another faculty for a one and half lecture and after that May stuck to the decision she made in the presence of her elder sister and went home quickly.

Wondering if Audrey parents would let her be with George in peace?
Do you think it was wise for May to escape or rather Mr Obaro is innocent of all
