Ajax decided to go north, where the wall was located. He travelled by foot in the morning and slept at night. While Ajax was walking, he found two 'awakened (-)' rank abominations. They were about the size of an average male adult. Their bodies looked like corpses with skin falling off and rotting. Ajax observed them for a while before moving.
'They appear to be undead. Undeads are usually slow, but I can't underestimate these guys as they are awakened.'
Ajax summoned an abyssal axe and coated it [Void armament]. Ajax aimed and threw it at the first abomination near him. The axe landed on the creatures' head, splitting it in two, instantly killing it. Unfortunately, the other abomination noticed this and charged at him. Ajax hurriedly recalled his axe and blocked the claw of the monster. Ajax was pushed back a little, but he used this momentum to deliver a spinning blow to the creature. However, the creature dodged it and charged again at him.
'It dodged?!' Ajax was stunned for a second before quickly dodging to the side, narrowly dodging the attack. Ajax coated his legs and delivered a kick to the beast's knee, immobilising it. Afterwards, he coated his axe and drew a clean arc, severing the head of the abomination.

[You have received an heirloom]
Ajax wiped the blood from his axe and took a minute to regain his breath before checking the heirloom he had gotten.
[Heirloom: Rot miasma]
Rank: Uncommon
Type: Support
Description: The heirloom will release a miasma that lowers the enemy's resistance to rot, poison, and dark magic.
'Finally a debuff item! This will greatly enhance the effect of my [corrosion]' Ajax rejoiced and went on his journey.

After 3 days of travelling, Ajax fought and killed 2 abominations; both were 'awakened (+)' rank beasts. While traveling, Ajax heard noises from the bushes. He summoned his axe and prepared to fight whatever fiend was in there. To Ajax's surprise, it wasn't a monster, but rather, a walker like him.
The walker that came out of the bush was none other than Stellar Reese. She looked like a mess, with cuts all over her body and an exhausted look.
Ajax helped his fellow walker, and he asked, " What are you doing in this part of the forest?"
"First, I have a name. Call me Stella, and I'm in this forest because I'm trying to get to the wall further north." Stella answered.
Ajax replied, "Okay, while traveling here, did you by any chance notice any other walkers?"
"No." Stella wasn't the most talkative person; she was quiet and calm. She exudes a cold feeling.
Ajax stopped the questions and decided it was time to move again. He stood up ready to go when someone called to him.
"I have a proposal." Stella said
"What could that be?" Ajax replied.
"Let's form a party and travel north together. These jungles are rough and all the monsters are strong."
Ajax contemplated before answering, " What would I get from this partnership?"
Stella looked him in the eyes and said, "We'll reach the wall faster and much safer compared to travelling alone."
Ajax understood her point, but he had his own circumstances. He can't show his heritage due to the fact that it's one of a kind and people can sometimes be more dangerous than abominations.
"I can't come with you."
Stella showed a hint of confusion and replied, "Why? My proposal is beneficial for both of us. "
Ajax replied, "I have my own circumstances."
Stella was silent for a while before answering again "Is it because of your heritage? When the students were taking a test, I noticed that you didn't participate, so I checked your records. The records didn't show anything about your heritage either. You're hiding it from everyone, so you have an advantage. "
Ajax was surprised at how much she knew. He replied, "Since you know the reason, there isn't any more reason to prolong this conversation." He was prepared to leave when Stella replied again.
"I saw your ability. I went back that night to train when I saw you there testing yourself. "
Ajax's eyes widened and he thought, 'Well, fuck. Should I kill her here?' Ajax wasn't a fan of killing, but he knew the moment he awakened his life was in constant danger, not only from beasts but from humans as well.
Stella interrupted his thoughts "Don't worry, I won't expose your ability, but you have to form a party with me."
Ajax looked at her for a while before saying, "It doesn't seem like I have a choice. Fine, I'm in "
