[Warning! The host is in immediate danger! advising the host to leave immediately.]
As soon as Ajax saw the message, his face turned grim, and he immediately summoned abyssal axe. This sudden movement was noticed by Stella, and she summoned her halo, creating a barrier for them.
"What the hell are you doing?" Asked Stella.
"Something dangerous is going on here, my void sense told me." Ajax didn't tell her about the system.
Stella understood and she prepared for combat. They both observed their surroundings. In the isolated space, there appeared to be a massive hall. The hall looked medieval, and in the front is a throne. Ajax shuddered, not because of the isolated space or the throne, but because of what was sitting on it.
A skeleton wearing black robes sat motionless on the throne. Its empty, hollow eyes sent shivers down their spines. Even Stella, a usually cold person, was on full alert.
Stella threw her halo at the skeleton to see if it was alive. The halo struck it and caused a huge impact, but the halo didn't even scratch it. Stella's eyes widened in shock, as it was the first time her halo couldn't damage something.
Ajax's void sense was in shambles. His void sense told him to turn around and run, but he stood his ground. Ajax carefully observed the skeleton sitting motionless on the stone throne. He gathered his courage and walked forward.
"Hey! Are you crazy?! Didn't you see my halo bounce like it hit a wall? for all we know, that thing could be alive!" Stella shouted.
Ajax halted his steps to reply when suddenly a deep voice interrupted him.
"Ahh.. so noisy.. can't you see I'm sleeping...?"
Ajax and Stella froze. The aura the creature sitting on the throne released was something even saints feared... a catastrophe ranked abomination. The sheer pressure alone was enough to kill them, but the creature wanted to play with them for a while.
"It has been a long time since humans have appeared here. It has been a very long time. So do not disappoint me." The creature said
The creature stood up and levitated in the air, showing its true form. The being was covered in a black aura, and its once hollow eyes had red burning embers on them.
"Now let us have some fun," the creature said.
"System, what is this creature?" asked Ajax about the system.
[The creature before you is a Grand Litch.]
[Mission has been updated.]
[Mission: Kill the Litch and go back home.]
Rewards: ???
Failure: Death
Ajax cursed at himself for asking the system what the floating abomination was. "Stella, it's a grand litch; we have to go." Ajax said to her.
They immediately tried to escape, but the abomination flicked its hand, and a heavy pressure suddenly dropped on them.
"Now now. Don't be too hasty. The fun is just starting." The litch said in a mocking voice.
Ajax didn't even have the strength to lift his head; the pressure was too overwhelming. The itch then summoned multiple undead creatures.
"Now fight my grand legion!"

After this announcement, the force on them vanished, enabling them to move again. Ajax immediately stood up and took a stance. The undead army neared them, and Ajax knew he didn't have any choice.
He swung his axe, killing an undead one after another. Stella also used her halo to slice through the horde. The litch didn't like this and summoned another batch; this time the undead were stronger, faster, and more deadly.
Ajax cursed at himself and threw his axe, cleaving the heads of a dozen undead. They tore through the enemies one by one. After 10 minutes of nonstop battling, the Litch summoned another batch.
The batch it summoned was bigger compared to the previous one, and they released the scent of a predator-ranked abomination. Ajax was bathed in blood as he fought with all his might. He swung left to right, kicking, stabbing, and punching the undead.
After 40 minutes Ajax was exhausted; he'd been fighting for the last 40 minutes without rest. The rank of the creatures has now reached terror rank. Each and every single one of them is capable of tearing through tanks like paper.
Ajax was battered and bloody. not only from the enemy's blood but also his. He had cuts all over his body and a near-mangled arm. He was in pain and agony. Stella didn't fare any better; she was also battered, bloody, and missing a leg.
Ajax knew it was over. The wounds were infected with poison from the undead. He was slowly losing his vision and his control over his body. Ajax was suddenly thrown against a nearby wall, shattering his bones on impact. He was bleeding, poisoned, and in pain. He knew it was over.
Ajax looked at the approaching Abominations as his life flashed through his eye. His memories with his family, his sister, and how they lived a simple but happy life The undead approached him and raised their claws, ready to tear his heart out. In his final moments, he thought it was finally time to rest and see his family again.

Ajax felt like he was floating. He tried to open his eyes, but there was nothing but darkness. All Ajax remembered was fighting the undead horde and dying at the hands of an undead.
Now he was just floating in this dark place. But instead of feeling fear and regret, he felt comfortable. It felt as if he were back home; the warmth and safety the dark—no, the void offered him felt reassuring.
He drifted and drifted and drifted until the system appeared on his face. Ajax was surprised to see the system here. Does this mean he didn't actually die? or perhaps the system had its own way of getting here?
Regardless, he checked the system notification.
[Wake.. up Voi@£- harbing#+-]
For some reason, Ajax heard the system, but it felt very far away. Ajax thought it was probably nothing and he should just go to sleep again. However, before he closed his eyes, he saw something he had lost long ago.
In the distance, he saw his family: his father, mother, grandparents, and sister. They were looking at him with sad gazes. Ajax thought, "Why..?"
He tried to get near, but an invisible force prevented him from doing so. He tried again and again and again. Each attempt gets more desperate. Soon his family looked at him again, but this time they had a small smile on their faces. One by one, they started walking away, vanishing into the endless void, forever gone.
Ajax screamed and begged them not to go. He couldn't bear to see his family leave him again. As Ajax was about to try again, his mother spoke to him.
"Ajax, it's time to stop now. You have been living in agony your whole life. It's time to move on." His mother spoke.
Ajax's movement slowed and finally stopped. He remembered something. a phrase his mother used to always tell him before.
"You see, Ajax, your father is a great soldier. He fights for our country to ensure its safety from bad creatures." His mother spoke.
Ajax grumbled, "You keep saying Father is a great soldier, but he never gets any recognition! All my friends brag about their fathers saying they are awakened walkers!"
His mother looked at him and smiled before speaking again. "It's not about recognition, Ajax. Some people walk in the dark so others can see the light."
Ajax finally understood what it meant. He understood that in order to get stronger, it was now time to forget and move on.
[Congratulations! Host has reached [enlightenment!]
[The void has acknowledged you!]
[The void wants to be one with you.]

Ajax looked at the screen, and with a newfound resolve, he pressed yes.
[The void has accepted you!]
Ajax felt something in him break, and another notification appeared.
