Chapter 17 - Dion's Side

Dion met Juno who was in the backyard of their castle. He is painting behind a very large tree where only Dion knows this place. He don't know who Juno was hiding from because Dion could clearly see that there was nothing wrong with all of his paintings. Everything is very beautiful and anyone would admit it.

"Wow Juno..." Its Dion who is always like that.

"What the hell?" Juno said, who immediately turned around.

"Hahaha. I'm sorry," Dion hugged Juno.

"Aish, I said don't hug me carelessly!" Juno felt uncomfortable but Dion knew he liked him.

"What are you doing here?" Juno asked.

"Yes, what else? I want to accompany you to paint. Can I sit here?" asked Dion who pointed at the grass beside Juno.

"All this land and grass is not mine!" Juno said casually and Dion just sat there.

Dion looked at the canvas in front of Juno. The sight that was right in front of him became the main object. Malghavan's lake which does store a lot of fish as well as other animals is also a source of food for them. The reddish-purple phoenix that sometimes appears to be around is also in there in contrast to the pink color of the main scene. Beautiful and detailed painting, He don't know how many times Dion complimented it. Dion himself chose to pick up some ivory white pebbles and throw them into the lake.

"You really should show your talent to the world," Dion said.

"Oh never mind. You've said it many times and my answer will always be the same."

"Your talent is amazing, Juno. I don't know how many times you've heard it. Who knows this painting of yours is your power to create happiness. You can do an art exhibition in any country you want and see what the Earthlings say."

"No, Dion!" Two words from Juno.

"Arrggh. You really are stubborn."

"Yes, I am. So don't force me anymore," Juno and Dion said that they just gave up with the wrong answer

"So how was the gift? The girl liked it?" Juno asked.

"I don't know- Huh? Girl? How are you talking about?" asked Dion just realized.

"Why so surprised? You like a girl right? And you gifted her a painting. Of course I could tell right away. Who else do you think would make a Dion suddenly romantic and want a painting as a gift?" Juno said casually.

"Hahaha. I see. Your intuition is amazing."

"Yes, maybe for some people experience is the best teacher, but for me intuition is the best power, and I'm lucky to have it," Juno said arrogantly.

"Hahahaha. Fine but surely you don't know what happened next between me and that girl."

Juno tried to guess by looking at Dion's perfect smiling face but couldn't find an answer.

"So what?" Juno asked finally.

"Not only do I like this girl, but also Ega," Dion's story at last.

"You? Gosh you. You have to give in," Juno said seriously.

"See. That's why I still want to like her and fight for her. Everyone wants me to give in to my brother but I don't want to."

"Ah yes, I see. So this is not only a fight for a girl's heart but also self-defense?" Juno asked sarcastically.

"I don't want to prove myself to anyone. I just want people to know that I can have whatever I want."

"Wait. Isn't that too selfish? So you really like this girl or not?" Juno asked to make sure.

"Yes of course I like her Juno," Dion said trying to convince.

"Who is this girl who can turn the two best brothers in Malghavan into a fight?" Juno asked curiously.

"Hahaha. Her name is Emma and she's an orphan ballerina. We met while solving Angelina's case at an orphanage in France."

"Listen! I just don't want you to approach this girl because you're afraid of losing out to Ega and end up hurting the girl. You know that is very, very disgraceful Dion. Worse you could lose your power." Juno said giving a warning.

"Yeah yeah I know. I'm older than you, Juno. I know what I'm doing," Dion said with a typical dimpled smile.

"Maturity is not determined by age, Dion!" remember Juno.

"Hahaha. Yes, that's true. And start by showing Basta your painting."

"That has nothing to do with it. I think from now on you and Ega should separate. You guys go on a mission without each other. I think it would be better that your relationship doesn't deteriorate because of a woman. And who knows separately you will realize how important each other."

"You're good at giving advice but can't do it for yourself. But speaking of Basta, I haven't seen him around Malghavan lately." Dion said looking around even though the castle was quite far from there.

"Yes, you're right. I don't know where he has been going to earth lately. I don't know," Juno's answer hung.

"Could it be someone he met down there too?" Dion asked him.

"I don't know," Juno answered briefly again.

"Your brother isn't the Xander types who come down to Earth too often. Usually only once or twice a week. But I can see that for this week alone he's been down to Earth for five days. His fallen soul is somewhere else," search for the justified Dion.

"Hahaha. I'm imagining he also has someone down there he likes." Juno said casually but it made Dion think further.

"That's a possibility Juno." Dion's eyes widened.

"But I think its mpossible right? My brother is someone who strictly obeys the rules of the gods for Malghavan, so there's no way he-" Juno's words stopped but part of him seemed to believe it too.

"Nothing is impossible in love, Juno. You just haven't felt it yet," Dion said with a wink.

"Oh my gosh you're disgusting!" Juno mocked which of course was just joking.

Juno is actually a soft-hearted guy with the right people. As the youngest he likes to get attention and Dion is indeed Xander who likes to show his attention with hugs and jokes. But talking to Dion this time made Juno realize that something had changed about him. Those normally warm and serene eyes were now blazing showing a high fighting spirit, which would either be good or bad in the future for himself. Juno just hoped that what he saw was wrong.
