X, that's what it's called. He has no name and lives in the shadow of an organization that has raised him since childhood. X lives as a working assassin receiving a special mission from the 'Cult Assassin.' An organization that accepts all assassination missions with various difficulty levels.
This time, X is carrying out his duties to eliminate the target, one of Russia's most extensive bar and casino owners, by a client who has paid a lot of money to the Assassin Cult.
But unlucky, the information about the target needs to be corrected. The target initially thought to be just a bar and casino owner, apparently has a darker and darker identity than that.
The target's true identity was a ruler of the underworld who ruled over part of the European Continent. Because of this, X the stuck in the game. He was stabbed cruelly and sadistically, even getting cuts and gunshot wounds to his chest until he died.
His body sprawled. His blood was flowing profusely, but X couldn't do anything. He had lost badly.
X's exhalation sounded weak. It was clear that he would soon meet the king of hell. But before his eyes were closed tightly, X briefly saw the silhouette of a man standing, looking at him with a red flash and smirking. The man was the target.
'Looks like I fell into the trap.' X thought.
The man said, "You know, in this world, there are some things you cannot offend, especially in terms of power and strength someday, if you have the next life. You will understand, X!" The man then left, and X was at his last.
'If there is another life after death, I hope to live a better life than this.' Those were the last words on his mind before he closed his eyes and died without anyone caring.
Dark, empty, and cramped. X knew he must be dead but strangely sensed that his soul was still hovering indistinctly between the paths to the afterlife.
"Wake up thinking! Are you going to keep sleeping like a pig, damn son-in-law!"
Amid his soul tossed about, X heard the angry scream of a middle-aged woman echoing in his ears.
'Noisy! Who's talking to me?' X thought, annoyed. But with a transparent soul, not knowing what to do to gag that loudmouth.
"You slacker, wake up! It's noon!" Furious with the behavior of her lazy daughter-in-law, the mother-in-law took a bucket of water and splashed the body that was sleeping soundly.
Not long after, X's soul, oscillating incoherently on the road to the afterlife, suddenly woke up and opened his eyes. "Fuck! What is this!" swear X.
A few seconds later, X realized he was not in the afterlife. Even though he was confused by what happened to him, dealing with what was in front of his eyes was more important. X then looked coldly at the middle-aged woman in front of him.
"Shut up!" he said coldly. X got up from his sleeping position and leaned against the headboard with an intimidating look. He then looked around and at himself, especially the shape of the hand, which was not his.
Getting a cold stare and unusual treatment from her daughter-in-law, the middle-aged woman immediately became furious. "Good! Already dared to argue, it seems. It's terrible luck for me to have a poor and lazy son-in-law like you." He said vehemently but ignored by X.
The middle-aged woman pointed at the clock on the wall; it was already 10 in the morning. "Look! What time is it now, huh? How long will you be lazy and not make money for my son? Do you think I accepted you as a son-in-law to be a lazy pig?" he continued to give a lecture with a joke that made people want to beat him up.
Ignoring this, X prefers to pay attention to the state of the room he occupies. If you take a closer look, he seems to be in a minimalist space with wedding photos hanging on the wall. 'Is the photo the owner of this room? But why am I here?'
Confused by the situation, X ignored the woman who continued chatting with him. He prefers to get up from sitting and look in the mirror. The reason, he felt there was something strange in his posture.
When he first saw his reflection in the mirror, how surprised was X to see that the face wasn't his?! "Fuck! It's not me!" he exclaimed.
X immediately punched the mirror, making a loud sound and the mirror cracked. 'This is the face in the photo. Am I going through something as ridiculous as a soul being reborn?' X thought it did not accept the fact that was happening.
The woman who kept calling her daughter-in-law was furious when she saw X doing things independently. "Louzen! What is this? Do you want to destroy my house?" shouted the middle-aged woman who turned out to be the mother-in-law of the body's owner.
The woman was furious. He was about to grab Louzen's arm and try to pull him away, but X quickly caught the hand and gripped it tightly. X turned around and looked at the mother-in-law of the body's owner with an intimidating look.
"I told you to be quiet. Don't cross the line of my patience!"
X threw the mother-in-law's hand, the owner of the body, and left, ignoring the mother-in-law, who was angry and confused by what had happened.
"I have to confirm a few things," X muttered, or maybe currently called him by the name Louzen because he had occupied his body.
Louzen's footsteps seemed calm even though X's soul didn't have the slightest memory of the body's owner. He just needed to find someone to talk to and extract information from him.
