Chereads / Reborn As A Sovereign in Disguised! / Chapter 4 - Past Memories

Chapter 4 - Past Memories

After leaving the market area and leaving with the cold demeanor shown to the woman Emile, Louzen came to his senses and then remembered that he didn't ask for payment. "Bastard! I forgot not to ask for payment for the lifting service earlier. Argh! Stupid me. In that case, how do I fill my stomach?"

The infinite stupidity of what happened just now made Louzen have to hold his hunger longer. He wanted to steal food, but again he was prestige.

Louzen saw many cafes and 4-star restaurants along the way, which aroused his desire. But Louzen had to swallow a bitter pill and realize he had no money!

The time may have shown around 03.00 pm, judging by the rising sun. However, if it is calculated, the time wasted is almost 4 hours, and again has not received any money.

Reality is often beyond expectations. Louzen thought he would kill and randomly chose his target. But he thought back to the assassin's code of ethics that had made him difficult to track down.

If you want your life to be long, then don't just kill without thinking about the consequences. It should be thought out carefully so as not to cause problems in the future.

Remember! it is not an immortal world where the strongest can kill anyone indiscriminately.

Since it was late afternoon, Louzen chose to look around the elite housing estate. As a professional assassin, he knows which houses are inhabited and abandoned by their owners. So he's going to rob tonight. At least, that's the thought.

At the time, Louzen was watching one of the mansions in an elite residential area which was indeed deserted because maybe the occupants were still busy at the office. However, he accidentally caught one of the big houses' suspicious behavior.

A group of people wearing all black clothes forced a woman with her wrists tied and her mouth gagged with a cloth, are being forcibly dragged to a car parked not far away.

Louzen's instincts are active. His voice suddenly sharpened. He knew something was wrong there and watched without making a move first.

"There seems to be a kidnapping in the house next door. But that's none of my business. It's too troublesome to fight them while adapting to this scum body." Louzen mumbles to reassure himself. But it's not that good.

Louzen ignored the woman rebelling for help, and pretended not to see it. Surely there will be someone to help because it's still the afternoon. Is not it?!

That's what Louzen thought. So he casually walked past the front of the house and pretended nothing had happened. Then, however, when his gaze accidentally shifted towards the house earlier and met his gaze with a pair of women's eyes that looked full of pleading.

Louzen was helpless to be stared at by a woman even though he didn't know her. It reminded him of past events that made him experience regret.

At first, Louzen didn't want to interfere with troublesome matters and invite trouble in the future. But what happened before his eyes tormented him.

"Fuck! Not again!" Louzen growled, enduring the sudden headache.

He squeezed his head hard. Memories of the dark past appear and continue to spin in his brain like a series of short films.

Memories of a woman who loved so much.

However, he loses his loved ones due to a job requiring an X to deal indirectly with various powerful enemies and has a high position.

It is the most profound regret X has ever felt.

In the past, X did not have the power to protect the people around him. He was aware of that. But he still breaks through the boundaries of a murderer who requires living alone and chooses to be in a relationship with a woman. And the result is death.

After a few moments of holding back the pain in his head and the dark memories of the past, X realized he was now Louzen.

Louzen exhaled and neutralized his previously flustered emotions. The impulse of the past made Louzen move his heart.

He looked at the house earlier, and the woman was already in the car about to come out of the big gate.

Not wanting to lose track of him, Louzen left from there and looked for a way to approach the car unnoticed. In the end, Louzen chose to turn back and ran as fast as he could to get close before the vehicle left.

Even though it was just yesterday on a mission, with the current body, it's like being a beginner again, which takes a lot of practice. Though this body faded and was quite agile, it was like something was holding it back from showing. This can be seen from— how difficult it is for X to adapt.
