Chapter 6
As they sail to Adeady, Labdon and the others attempt to figure out how they will fit in with the locals.
Tribonal proposed that they disguise their demonic presence by taking a person's soul off the island. Helluza seemed to want to agree with Tribonal's plan, but he wanted to offer a recommendation since he does not want anybody in Adeady to die.
Arioja said that if one of the two can assume the guise of the island's leader, such as the villager chief, it is simple to interact with the people and the hytacs.
"Labdon, I think we're getting close to the island," Arioja says to Labdon.
"Helluza? Is that the island named Adeady?" Labdon inquired.
"I suppose that is not the island of Adeady, but since we are going there, why not inspect the island first? Maybe there are some people living there; we can kill and devour them," Helluza responds to Labdon.
After many hours, Labdon and his colleagues arrive to the island they spotted.
The five of them dispersed and attempted to search the island for anything beneficial to them or humans in order to recharge their energy.
As they explored the island, Helluza came across a settlement and, without hesitation, assaulted it, scaring the people who lived there. When the other four discover it, they race to Helluza's position. Helluza's chanting and began to summon a dummy hytac, whereby he tends to put up a bogus situation in which he attacks several hytacs in the hamlet to allow the villagers to flee.
Helluza engaged and fought the dummy hytac as they emerged. Helluza was seen by Tribonal and Arioja, and he ultimately assisted him. However, Labdon and Tagua pursued the villagers and attempted to hunt and consume them.
Tagua created a barrier to keep humanity from fleeing to the port, while Labdon assaulted them and began devouring some of them. Tagua joins after breaking through the barrier.
Helluza attempts to assault Tribonal in an unintentional manner so that Tribonal would not notice.
Prior to their arrival on the island
on board the ship
Helluza approaches Tagua and starts conversing with him.
"Tagua, I came up with a strategy that I think would be important for how we can separate Labdon and Tribonal; however, I believe Tribonal is influencing Arioja's thoughts, so we can't tell her the plan," Helluza adds.
"But how? I don't think we can fight or kill them right now." "I know we become Umbreytt like them, but those two aren't your average Umbreytt." That's why they decimated our squad, remember? "Tagua responds.
"I'll suggest to Labdon that when we arrive on the island, we need to scatter and find something useful for us, but make sure you're paying attention to Labdon to make sure you can see his moves, and for me, I'll go to the village and make them run so that they can escape; I'll also use dummy weapons to make it appear that I'm fighting with them," Helluza responded.
"Hmmmm, I think that'll work," Tagua said, adding, "but for now, we'll remain with that, and we won't make any strange motions so they don't notice it."
Helluza moves away from Tagua after explaining the strategy and goes looking for Labdon to inform him what they should accomplish on the island. Helluza sawed Labdon at the ship's side.
"Labdon!" Helluza said. "I think I have an idea for how we may quickly exploit the island when we arrive."
"Go ahead and tell me what you're thinking," Labdon urged to Helluza.
"When we arrived on the island, I think the best way to find something like weapons, hytacs, or humans is for the five of us to scatter around the entire island and try some useful resources. Then, when we encounter humans or hytacs on the island, we don't need to hesitate to attack them. With that attack comes the signal that we encounter humans," Helluza responded to Labdon.
Labdons considers Helluza's proposal before exclaiming, "All of you listen to what I am going to say! First, when we arrive on the island, all of us will roam the island and find useful resources. Second, when we find humans or hytacs on the island, attack them, and your attacks will become a signal that we have found humans or hytacs. Third, capture some humans, like ten of them, because I will try something on them. "
"Roger! I understand the strategy," the four said loudly in response to Labdon's idea.
The current time on the island
"Roger" Helluza and Arioja replied as Tribonal launched strikes on the dummy hytacs and remarked, "Capture some people, we need to do something."
Arioja continues to assault the dummy hytacs and Tribonal. Helluza noticed several people and approached them in an unsettling manner. As Helluza approaches, the humans find themselves powerless to move. Arioja hurried to the humans and imprisoned them with his manner. "Tribonal! I captured six humans here," Arioja said. "OK, that's excellent; we'll have to wait for Labdon and Tagua to start experimenting," Tribonal added.
Labdon and Tagua decimated the humans that tried to flee them, and in the process, some of the humans were digested and imprisoned for their experiments. Tagua shackled the people and led them towards the village. Tribonal and the others, on the other hand, sat inside the village's ruined home. Helluza protects the people till Labdon and Tagua arrive.
Tribonal notified Arioja, and the two of them began constructing a demonic circle to be utilized in their experiment. Arioja began casting a barrier around the island while Tribonal formed the circle to minimize needless disruption while they conducted the experiment. "They've arrived!" Helluza said to the two. As Helluza yelled, he covertly summons a familiar that he had instructed to go to Adeady and speak with the island's current leader.
"Tribonal, are you finished constructing the circle?" Labdon inquired.
"Done already, Labdon; we may begin the experiment," Tribonal said.
Tribonal and Arioja started constructing 15 wooden stages for each of the individuals. Labdon and Tagua began tying the humans to the wooden stage as well.
Labdon proceeded to approach the people, looking into each of their eyes. As he approached them, he sought to sense something in each of them before beginning to chant.
When Labdon arrives at the first person, he begins chanting, "Infinite time, oh dark might have buried inside its source, spread your wings in the echo of crossing souls and rise from the dark abyss! Take a look at this! And believe me when I say that this creature is no illusion! Wretched brightness, utter blackness! Open the door to a different future in order to align the planet to its original form! Come forth, my Zeabolis." and the human dies.
Labdon approaches the second human and continues chanting; "Infinite time, oh dark might have buried inside its source, spread your wings in the echo of crossing souls and rise from the dark abyss! Take a look at this! And believe me when I say that this creature is no illusion! Wretched brightness, utter blackness! Open the door to a different future in order to align the planet to its original form! Come forth, my Zeabolis." the second guy dies as well.
Labdon approached the third person and began chanting, "Infinite time, oh dark might have buried inside its source, spread your wings in the echo of crossing souls and rise from the dark abyss! Take a look at this! And believe me when I say that this creature is no illusion! Wretched brightness, utter blackness! Open the door to a different future in order to align the planet to its original form! Come forth, my Zeabolis." causing the human to scream.
Labdon approaches the fourth person and begins chanting; "Infinite time, oh dark might have buried inside its source, spread your wings in the echo of crossing souls and rise from the dark abyss! Take a look at this! And believe me when I say that this creature is no illusion! Wretched brightness, utter blackness! Open the door to a different future in order to align the planet to its original form! Come forth, my Zeabolis." the human screams in response.
Labdon approaches the fifth human and begins chanting; "Infinite time, oh dark might have buried inside its source, spread your wings in the echo of crossing souls and rise from the dark abyss! Take a look at this! And believe me when I say that this creature is no illusion! Wretched brightness, utter blackness! Open the door to a different future in order to align the planet to its original form! Come forth, my Zeabolis." the human burns to ashes.
Labdon approaches the sixth through eleventh humans and begins chanting; "Infinite time, oh dark might have buried inside its source, spread your wings in the echo of crossing souls and rise from the dark abyss! Take a look at this! And believe me when I say that this creature is no illusion! Wretched brightness, utter blackness! Open the door to a different future in order to align the planet to its original form! Come forth, my Zeabolis." six of them perish.
Labdon approaches the twelfth to fifteenth human, the final one, and begins chanting; "Infinite time, oh dark might have buried inside its source, spread your wings in the echo of crossing souls and rise from the dark abyss! Take a look at this! And believe me when I say that this creature is no illusion! Wretched brightness, utter blackness! Open the door to a different future in order to align the planet to its original form! Come forth, my Zeabolis." the four of them start screaming.
As the six people screamed their way out, Labdon began to chant again "In my nightmares, I wandered alone over cobblestone streets beneath the halo of a street lamp. When the flash of a neon light broke the darkness and touched the sound of quiet, I twisted my collar toward the cold and damp. And in the bare light, I saw ten thousand people, perhaps more: people chatting without speaking, hearing without listening, crafting melodies that voices never shared, and no one dared to disrupt the sound of tranquility. But today, I want you to quiet those who will become zeabolis. SILENCE!"
The six individuals proceeded to sit calmly, and as they did not scream, cracks appeared on their faces, and those fissures began to emanate light. Within a minute, a great light appeared for the six individuals; the light began to shine, and Labdon and the others closed their eyes, bewildered by the brightness they saw on the six people chained to the wooden platform.
Labdon witnessed six people morph as the light faded. "Finally, our group has extra strength," Labdon said, while Tribonal and Arioja were overjoyed with what they observed. Helluza and Tagua, on the other hand, were dissatisfied with the outcome.
Thick smoke engulfed Labdon's six new coworkers. "We've arrived; what is our objective on this excursion?" Syd inquired.
"Right now, we're heading to Adeady," Labdon said to Syd. "Hello, our names are Syd, Haller, Buskher, Poole, Fukyama, and Majak."
"With those six as my summoning success, becoming a Laegri Roo is within my grasp as soon as I return to the underworld," Labdons murmured silently in his head.
"Oh yes, we'll all go to Adeady and exterminate the hytacs and devour the humans," Labdon said more vehemently.
Then Tribonal used a spell to conceal themselves from the hytacs. They flew away from the first island they spotted and towards the island of Adeady.
"Labdon, maybe it's best if we split up when we arrive to Adeady or create a group with two or three individuals together," Helluza suggested as they flew.
Because of what Helluza stated to Labdon, he and the others came to a halt. "OK, everyone listens. Syd, Haller, and Poole are together. Buskher, Fukyama, and Majak are together. Helluza and Tagua are together. Tribonal and Arioja are together. Meanwhile, I am alone," Labdon remarked to them. Labdon's pals agreed, and they returned to the island of Adeady.
