"Where are we gonna go?" Kumo asked, holding pepper's hand.
"I'm not exactly sure... I've never left the city before." pepper said, looking at the rubble. "Wait... it's quiet..." pepper said, trying to listen for more jets or bombs.
"You're right..." Niku said, also trying to listen.
"I don't know, but let's just go this way. Stay together." pepper said, as he began to walk down the rubble covered road.
"Damn, this place is really messed up..." Niku said, as they all continue walking, cautiously.
"Indeed, it seems that there might be a sort of war going on." Peki said, trying to read the situation.
"And we're caught up in the middle of it? Jeez... What a pain..." Niku said, becoming annoyed.
"Now isn't the time to complain about it, black hair." Kure said, being bothered by Niku's voice.
"Black hair?" Niku said, questioning what exactly Kure means by that.
"You heard me." Kure said, seemingly trying to pick a fight with Niku.
Niku grabbed Kure's shoulder. "That idiot might like you, but I don't, got it? I have no issue killing you." Niku said, giving a threatening look to Kure.
"Stop!" pepper yelled, at the two. "Now is not the time to fight, we have to stick together, you can settle your differences later!" pepper shouted, trying to get Niku and Kure to focus.
Kure smiled cheerfully and walked up to pepper with her hands behind her back. "Yes, Daddy!" Kure said, sounding as if she was never bothered in the first place.
pepper gave her an odd look. "Alright..." pepper said, finding her reaction strange.
"Hey, look up there..." Kutsuyo said, as she rushed over to pepper and used his hand to point. "Th-The planes..." Kutsuyo continued.
"No, these are different." pepper said, as Kutsuyo let go of his arm. "They don't carry bombs... They carry soldiers." pepper said, looking at the black aircrafts that are landing infront of them.
"Move! Move! Move!" Soldiers said, as others poured out of the many aircrafts that had landed.
"There's a lot of them..." pepper said, as the soldiers surrounded the group.
"Put your hands in the air, and come quietly." One of the soldiers said, through their visor. Kure instantly grabbed her knife from her boot and jumped at the soldiers.
"Shoot the bitch!" Another soldier shouted.
"We can't kill the females, idiot!" A different soldier yelled.
"Then, shoot her feet to immobilize her!" The previous soldier said, as he began to aim at Kure, followed by the other soldiers.
"Now!" pepper shouted, as he jumped at the soldiers, though more swarmed in. Peki and Kujo jumped in behind pepper, Kure had already begun killing a lot of the soldiers as she dodged and deflected their bullets. Niku pulled out her rod and used it to deflect the stray bullets that headed towards the other girls. Peki shot lazers and disintegrated bullets heading toward her, also killing whoever shot the bullets. Kujo was still scared, her fire was bright green and its flame seemed to burn quickly, and it wasn't as hot as normal, though still hot enough to melt skin quickly. pepper stabbed many of the soldiers with his spider legs, and he used them to deflect the bullets. Leia, began to charge her water shot.
"Hahahaha!" A sudden laugh resounded in the area as soldiers screamed in pain.
"Th-There's someone... in the back!" One of the soldiers shouted, he watched in fear as he saw a man come close, too scared to even use his weapon. Before pepper realized it, the man the soldiers feared was seen by pepper, the man clearly had a shirt, but it seemed to be in shambles, barely attached to him. This man had short, black hair, his eyes were clearly green, though they had an odd reddish hue alongside the green. pepper could see the smile on the man, this smile was viscous, pepper felt the need to protect his girls as soon as that smile came into sight, but he realized that wasn't necessarily as that man clearly had no intention to even look at the girls. pepper couldn't look away from this smile, this smile was one that could only be described as pure blood lust, and one only an absolute crazed battle maniac could wear. The man had no hesitation as he slammed a soldier's head into the ground, the man looked up, causing his and pepper's eyes to meet.
'Th-Those eyes... They're green... but I swear they're getting darker red... somehow.' pepper thought, as it felt like minutes past in the moment they met eyes.
"Ah! White suit!" The man said, he couldn't help how excited he sounded. "It's been a while, I think?" The man said, beginning to question himself, but immediately changing the subject. "I've been testing my body lately, so I'm not sure how much time has passed since I've been testing and fighting." The man said, speaking honestly, as he crushed the skull of a soldier and brought his hand to his chin.
pepper could only describe the feeling he got from this guy's voice as bad, but it was awful, it was terrifying, petrifying even, pepper could barely move but instinctively he continued deflecting bullets. "Wh-Who the hell are you?!" pepper accidentally shouted, unsure of what emotion he's feeling, but the man ignored pepper as he was lost in thought, he shook his head to himself. pepper was completely scared and bewildered, he couldn't tell if this man was a threat to his girls, or even pepper himself. Kutsuyo was the only one of the girls who saw the man, she felt no fear though, she only hoped the man would leave them be. before pepper realized it, the man was gone from his spot, pepper thought for a slight moment that he may have imagined this man, but then he saw the man again as he the man killed over twenty soldiers, this man kept his speed while carrying a more viscous smile than before. As Kutsuyo saw this she freaked out and almost fell, she noticed the smile, and red tint in his eyes, she could only think of Kutsuyon. "THIS IS A PIECE TO THE MISSING PUZZLE!!!" The unknown man shouted, to him it was pure happiness, to pepper the man seemed insane. This yell completely shook the area, the already destroyed ground cracked even more, and the weaker soldiers near the man, as the man killed more soldiers with his own hands, and within moments, pepper had lost track of him again, but pepper noticed his chance and he wasn't going to waste it.
"I'm not sure what's happening but there's a path cleared, if it's intentional, I couldn't tell you, but we gotta move!" pepper said, as he helped Kutsuyo to her feet, and made his way through the clearing.
"Right!" The girls said, as the made their way behind pepper.
As the group walked through the clearing, a soldier appeared. "What the hell is this thing?" A soldier shouted as he crawled away from something, he was unarmed. Suddenly a small jack o' lantern appeared from the soldier, it jumped into Utsu's arms.
"Hey, it's been a while since I've seen that thing." pepper said, as he turned around to see the jack o' lantern.
"H-He isn't a th-thing!" Utsu shouted, closing her eyes. "H-His name... is Pumpkie..." Utsu continued, as she hugged the jack o' lantern.
"Ah, sorry." pepper said, apologizing for calling Pumpkie a thing. Pumpkie sprayed fire from its mouth, the soldiers that were running up to the group fell backwards in surprise and dropped their guns.
"S-Sorry..." Utsu mumbled, feeling bad for yelling.
"Ugh! Just shut up, we gotta go!" Niku said, grabbing Utsu's right hand and running ahead of the group.
"Niku, don't run ahead!" pepper yelled, trying to get her to wait. "Come on!" pepper said, to the rest of the girls, as he ran to catch up. Leia shot water at the soldiers behind them. "Wait, I know." pepper said, gaining an idea. "Spooky Scary Skeletons!" pepper shouted, as the soul flew out from his chest. "I need an army to distract these soldiers." pepper said, to the soul.
"Yes, Master." The soul responded as it flew into the ground. Within moments the ground shook a little, and skeletons rose from the road, it was only about fifty skeletons.
"Fuhuhu. Good thinking, Daddy." Muma said, as she picked up Kutsuyo and flew to catch up with Niku and Utsu.
"W-Wait..." Kutsuyo said, as Muma picked her up, Muma made sure her breasts were felt by Kutsuyo, causing Kutsuyo to blush.
"Hey! There's two up there!" A soldier yelled, as he proceeded to shoot at Muma and Kutsuyo. Muma used her wings to deflect the bullets, and Kutsuyo ended up falling asleep, exhausted from everything that's happened in such a short time.
"Alright, now let's go." pepper said, as the rest of the group began to catch up.
The group eventually all came back together, and they ran and ran, running for what felt like hours, they had no clue where or when they'd stop, they all knew they must keep running. Peki carried the sleeping Kutsuyo, and Utsu couldn't keep up with the group so Niku carried her. They all ran through a field, and through a forest, eventually making it to the base of a mountain.
"We're going up." pepper said, as he began to walk up the mountain. The girls all followed him, and Kutsuyo woke up. As they progressed up the mountain, still seeing the black jets pass, and they can still hear explosions in the background, they all witnessed a rainbow appear in the sky, every one of them had a bad feeling about this rainbow, it hadn't rained in the past few days so no one thought it was natural, and as quick as the rainbow appeared, it dropped something, and began to spin around the planet, continuing to drop more and more things, these things exploaded on impact, pepper knew they were a sort of bomb.
"This isn't some normal war! What the fuck is going on?!" Niku shouted, in fear and confusion from the strange rainbow.
"I don't know... But we should continue." pepper said, having no idea why he's going up the mountain. The girls followed pepper, as they watched the jets go by, and bombs fall from the rainbow, no one talked at all, they were too scared.
