Peni, Kumetsu, and Tenshi all walk through the trees, Tenshi had accidentally walked through a few spider webs along the way, and now they're in her hair.
"I'm not exactly sure which way he went from here, I didn't follow for long." Kumetsu said, as she skips beside the other two walking.
"Well, no choice but to guess..." Peni said, as she continued walking straight, with the two with her.
"No, we have another choice." Tenshi said, as she sat on her knees and began to pray.
"What are you doing?" Kumetsu asked, never having seen this before.
"I think... she's praying." Peni said, trying to answer Kumetsu's question for Tenshi.
"Oh." Kumetsu said, sounding curious.
'Lord Athena, hear my prayer. I am Tenshi, the very same that your father, Zeus had raised. We are in need of your wisdom. Are you able to tell me which way a man with blue hair and a white suit went as he traveled through these trees?' Tenshi thought, sending her voice to the Goddess Athena to ask for assistance.
'Dear Tenshi, you were my father's right hand, where have you gone?' Athena replied, sending her voice to Tenshi.
'Lord Zeus seems to have abandoned me, it has made me quite sad, but I can't worry about my sadness right now, I must ask him myself.' Tenshi thought, as she sent her voice back to Athena.
'Tenshi... Now why would he do that? He seemed to care for you, you were like a daughter to him, that man does confuse me sometimes.' Athena replied, feeling sorry for Tenshi. 'I care for you, Tenshi, though I do not usually feel strongly for anyone, I do respect you, so I trust you have good intentions.' Athena continued, knowing that Tenshi couldn't reach her if she'd become fallen.
'Of course, I believe all of my intentions to be pure, just like Zeus had taught me, and not just him but all of the Gods, I look up to every one of you, I wish to please you all one day.' Tenshi said, explaining that she has good intentions.
'I know, Tenshi, you aren't fallen, that's how I know. Now, continue north west, you should find what you're looking for. Goodbye and good luck, I'll be watching over you.' Athena's voice said, to Tenshi, helping as much as she needs to.
'Yes, thank you, Lord Athena, thank you so much!' Tenshi thought, sending Athena her voice, as she sounded excited and grateful. Tenshi then stood up and opened her eyes, looking at Kumetsu and Peni.
"Well... How'd it go?" Kumetsu asked, as she played with sticks.
"We need to go north west, Lord Athena said." Tenshi explained, as she looked up to read the sun's compass.
"Oh, okay, follow me." Kumetsu said, as she threw the sticks and began walking infront of them and to the left a little.
"Wait, how do you know which way to go?" Tenshi asked, as she looked down.
"What do you mean?" Kumetsu asked, as she turned to look at Tenshi.
"Well, it's night time, you can't read the sun's compass." Tenshi explained, feeling confused that Kumetsu knows where they are.
"Oh, it's always night time in Halloween, we have our own way to know the compass." Kumetsu said, as she turned back around and continued north west, skipping as she makes her way.
"Come on." Peni said, as she took Tenshi's hand and began to catch up with Kumetsu, causing Tenshi's face to turn red.
'Why do I feel so... nervous?' Tenshi thought, as she walked close behind Peni. 'Was it the prayer?' Tenshi continued thinking, trying to understand herself.
"Woah..." Kumetsu said, as she stood still.
"What? Did you find the way out of the forest?" Peni asked, walking with Tenshi as they made their way to Kumetsu.
"Look, look!" Kumetsu said, excitedly.
"Oh, my..." Peni said, as she looked at burned house in the distance.
"Look here... The poor tees and plants were burned, we may not have seen the house if the fire hadn't burned through the plants." Tenshi said, as she looked around at the ground.
"I wonder what happened here..." Peni said, curious about all the burned plants, the burned field, and burned house.
"I hope no one was hurt..." Tenshi said, feeling worried for anyone who may have been caught up in this fire.
"Well, I'm interested!" Kumetsu said, sounding excited. "Let's investigate!" Kumetsu shouted, as she ran to the burned house.
"Wait!" Peni shouted, as Kumetsu ran off, ignoring Peni as she giggled.
"Let's just follow her." Tenshi said, with a sigh.
"Yeah." Peni said, in agreement, as they both walked to the burned house.
"Wow, this place is screwed!" Kumetsu said, looking through some burned wood and other rubble.
"I wonder who lived here, and what happened." Peni said, knowing she can't get much if an answer.
"Yeah, that's what I was thinking." Tenshi said, as her and Peni walked into the house through door frame with a missing door, into the remains of what was once a kitchen.
"The inside isn't any better..." Peni said, looking at the counter and the shelves that barely hung.
"This doesn't seem to have been that long ago... Do you think that... maybe pepper did this?" Tenshi asked, thinking that pepper must be a bad person if he did this.
"No, I don't think so, he doesn't seem like that kinda guy." Kumetsu said, peeking her head in from the door frame.
"I see." Tenshi said, walking out of the kitchen and down a small hallway. 'These were probably stairs at one point...' Tenshi thought, looking at the destroyed stairs with sadness.
"Tenshi, I'll check this way." Peni said, going left from the kitchen instead of going straight into the hallway.
"Right." Tenshi said, nodding her head. As Tenshi continued down the hallway, she stepped into some kind of liquid, it made a wet sound so Tenshi looked down and moved her foot back. 'B-Blood...?' Tenshi thought, as stared at it with wide eyes, looking at the red liquid on the dirty floor. 'There's a trail...' Tenshi thought, as she observed the red liquid more, she felt hesitant to follow it. 'Maybe someone's hurt.' Tenshi thought, to herself, thinking that if she doesn't check then maybe she'll be at fault for their death. Tenshi walks past a coner to reveal what looks like the stitched corpse of a girl, she had blue hair with red on both sides and some pink in the middle, their hair was messy, and they didn't seem to wear anything other than a large coat. Tenshi walked up to the corpse, going to check for a pulse. As Tenshi walked closer, she noticed that the girl's corpse was holding her own arm, and blood was pouring out from under the coat. 'There's no way they're alive... but I'll still check.' Tenshi thought, beginning to feel sick from seeing all of the blood.
"Tenshi?" Peni said, walking up behind Tenshi.
"I-I found this... corpse." Tenshi said, reaching for the girl's wrist.
"I see." Peni said, crouching down next to Tenshi.
Tenshi felt the girl's wrist and after a moment she felt something. "This girl... she's still alive!" Tenshi said, feeling happy that the girl isn't dead but surprised at the same time.
"Then whatever happened to the girl must have been recent." Peni said, lifting the girl's coat to see where her arm was taken off.
"Her pulse is very weak though, is there anything we can do?" Tenshi asked, sounding worried.
"Mnn..." The unconscious girl mumbled.
"Oh, she's waking up." Tenshi said, as she girl slowly opened her eyes.
"I'm... still alive..." The girl said, taking slow but deep breaths.
"Do you have anything in this house to stop the bleeding? It might not have been burned!" Tenshi said, trying to talk fast.
"You... want to save me? Why?" The girl asked, sounding like she's in pain.
"Because, you're very useful to us... And no one deserves to die like this." Peni said, as she brushed her hand into the air, creating a dark shadow that seemed to float.
"There's nothing you can do..." The girl said, slowly, as she closed her eyes.
"We'll see about that." Peni said, as she put her hand into the shadow and pulled out a sewing kit.
"Wait, what the?" Tenshi asked, feeling confused.
"What's wrong, Tenshi." Peni said, as she took the girl's arm out of the girl's hand.
"Um... I'm just confused about what you did." Tenshi said, watching Peni put the girl's arm against the spot it was taken off.
The girl flinched from the pain of it touching. "Sorry, this'll probably hurt." Peni said, as she started to sew the arm back on. "It's my ability, Tenshi, I call it Phantom of the Opera, but usually I just refer to it as Phantom." Peni said, as she continued to stitch the girl's arm back on.
"Oh... How does it work? If you don't mind me asking." Tenshi asked, curious of Peni's ability.
"Basically, it's a space of my own that I can store things in. As far as I can tell, I can put as much stuff as I want in there, and when I want something I just feel around and I immediately find it." Peni said, as she continued sewing the arm.
"Oh, wow, that's pretty handy." Tenshi said, thinking of how much she had to carry for Zeus.
"Yes it is. And there's something inside the portal that guards my things, that's what I call Phantom." Peni said, trying to see under the girl's arm to stitch it.
"Oh, but I thought things can't get inside your space." Tenshi said, not sure why the stuff would need guarded.
"Not normally, but if I leave it open, or maybe their ability lets them, then they could get in." Peni said, finishing up her stitching.
"Oh, okay, that makes sense." Tenshi said, realizing that it was an obvious answer and feeling a little stupid.
"Okay, that should do it." Peni said, as she put her sewing kit away.
"Why did you sew it back on? It isn't like she can move it." Tenshi asked, confused about what Peni's plan is.
"I think she can, don't you see the stitches all over her? I think she's some sort of Zombie." Peni said, explaining her thoughts.
"You're right, I can move it." The girl said, as she opened her eyes and slowly moved her arm.
"Oh wow..." Tenshi said, feeling impressed that Peni knew it would work.
"But it isn't that simple." The girl said, standing up. "It'll take a while for it to heal..." The girl continued, struggling to move.
"Take it easy... You've lost a lot of blood." Tenshi said, trying to help the girl.
"Shut up, I didn't ask for your help." The girl said, pushing Tenshi away.
"Don't be rude to her, if you're mad that you're alive then be rude to me. You could have asked me to stop, but you didn't." Peni said, looking at the girl's back.
"You said you needed me, I'll do what you need me to, but I'm not going to be kind about it." The girl said, as she walked further down the hallway.
"Wh-Where are you going?" Tenshi asked, as her and Peni watched the girl walk away. The girl ignored Tenshi, and continued struggling through the hallway.
"Just meet us outside when you're done, we don't have much time, so be quick, please." Peni said, as she began walking back to the kitchen. "Come on, Tenshi." Peni continued, as she took Tenshi's hand.
"She seems mean..." Tenshi said, quietly.
"Don't worry about her, she'll help us and then she can do whatever." Peni said, feeling slightly annoyed at the girl's rudeness.
"Oh? You guys find anything?" Kumetsu asked, sitting on the stairs to the front door, bobbing her head left and right.
"Yeah, we found another female pepper. She's doing something and then she'll be outside." Peni said, explaining what happened with little detail.
"Okay!" Kumetsu said, excited to meet someone new.
Peni looked over at Tenshi, who was holding her arm, and the arm she held seemed to shake a bit. "Hey, is your arm okay?" Peni asked, questioning why Tenshi's holding her own arm.
"Yeah... I'll be fine." Tenshi said, trying to avoid eye contact.
"Let me see your arm." Peni said, walking closer to Tenshi.
"I'm fine..." Tenshi said, trying to get Peni to not worry.
Peni removed Tenshi's hand from her arm, and looked at Tenshi's arm. "I see. What happened?" Peni said, as she stared at Tenshi's arm which had three large scratches that were about four inches long.
"I... scratched it on some wood in the house..." Tenshi said, trying to make it seem like it isn't a big deal.
"You didn't have it whenever I came over, I could see your right arm clearly, but on our way out we walked together, and you didn't seem to get scratched on our way outside." Peni said, knowing that Tenshi is lying. "This is bleeding pretty bad, here." Peni said, opening her storage portal.
"What are you gonna do?" Tenshi asked, as she watched Peni feel around in the portal.
"These are bandages, they should help." Peni said, wrapping bandages around Tenshi's arm.
"Don't lie to me, Tenshi. What happened?" Peni asked, wanting the truth.
"I'm sorry..." Tenshi said, beginning to cry from guilt.
"It's fine, I'm not angry." Peni said, finishing up the bandage wrap.
"Well, when that girl pushed me away... her nails cut me..." Tenshi said, explaining what happened. "I'm sorry I lied... I just didn't want to cause trouble." Tenshi continued, trying to explain herself.
"It's no trouble at all, I'm just surprised that Angels can lie without becoming a Fallen or something." Peni said, realizing she doesn't understand how Angels work.
"They normally would, if the lie is to cause trouble, I had good intentions with my lie, so I'm still pure." Tenshi said, explaining that Angels can lie.
"Either way, a lie is a lie, you shouldn't lie for any reason, unless it saves a life or something." Peni said, tying the bandage a bit tighter.
"Yeah... I'm sorry... I won't lie again." Tenshi said, still feeling guilty.
"I said it's okay." Peni said, hugging Tenshi, causing Tenshi's face to become red again.
"...Am I interrupting something?" The girl said, as she came out of the burned house.
"No, you're fine." Peni said, as she stopped hugging Tenshi.
"My name's Maruchi, who're you two?" Maruchi said, looking bothered.
"I'm Peni." Peni said, introducing herself to Maruchi. "This is Tenshi." Peni said, pointing at Tenshi.
"And I'm Kumetsu!" Kumetsu said, jumping up to her feet.
"Oh, I didn't see you there." Maruchi said, looking at Kumetsu. "Anyway, what do you need me for?" Maruchi asked, taking a look at the three. 'This is an odd group... An Angel, a Demon, and a Ghost...' Maruchi thought, wondering what they're doing.
"We're trying to resurrect someone that I found interesting, apparently he went this way about a week or two ago." Peni said, beginning to explain their goal.
'She doesn't mean...' Maruchi thought, thinking she might know what Peni is about to say.
"His name is pepper. Our goal is to gather ten female peppers and... I guess pray for his soul to find his body after it leaves the Underworld." Peni said, explaining more.
"I knew it..." Maruchi said, talking out loud to herself.
"How could you possibly know that?" Tenshi asked, confused of how Maruchi knew it.
"Not the whole Underworld part, but pepper..." Maruchi said, with an annoyed voice.
"Ah, so you do know him." Peni said, confirming her thoughts.
"Not very well, but you're talking about the one in the white suit, right? With the red bow tie?" Maruchi asked, making sure they're all talking about the same person.
"Yes, that's him." Peni said, wondering how many others know of pepper.
"Can you even walk?" Tenshi asked, thinking of how much blood Maruchi had lost.
"I'll manage." Maruchi said, beginning to walk down the stairs.
"Hey, don't go ahead." Peni said, walking down the stairs to catch up to Maruchi.
"Do any of you know the direction to the castle?" Maruchi paused to wait for an answer. "Didn't think so, now follow me." Maruchi said, beginning to walk through the burnt field and into grass that wasn't burned.
"Come on, you two." Peni said, waving her head as a signal for them to follow. Both Tenshi and Kumetsu caught up to Peni, who wasn't far behind Maruchi.
