"Was it Lucian who took you to them?" Xavier could see the anger in her eyes.
"No, they sent me an invitation for lunch," he said.
"When was this?" she asked.
"During your trip for your new product launch," he said
"That long and you waited, for now, to tell me " the fork fell from her hand.
"Am sorry Liana, a lot of things happened in between I never got the right time to tell you " he apologized.
"I know a man with your resources would have found out already how my parents treat me but you still decided behind my back to meet them " her hand moved to the table knife.
Xavier's eyes widened in fear as he watched her movements.
"Liana what are you doing let's just talk about it," he said.
Her smile was cold, "Am not doing anything and we are talking "
"Then place the knife down " he pointed.
Liana turned to where he pointed, "I want to cut my steak, why should I put it down?" she said. "Now tell me what you guys talked about?"
Xavier moved his seat back, "Not much, they wanted me to leave you " Liana's hand tightly gripped the table knife with her black eyes fixed on Xavier's face.
"And?" she said.
"I refused and told them to stop bothering us " he gave her a vague smile.
She nodded, "But why did you agree to meet them in the first place?" she asked.
"Cause they are your parents I could not say no," he said
Liana glared at him, "But you knew how they treat me?"
He nodded.
Liana got up stunned Xavier jumped off his seat moving further away.
"I love you Xavier but right now all I want is to stab you" she spoke holding the table knife firmly.
"It's all in the past Liana and I apologized," he said
"But it took you this long to tell me " she walked closer and he moved back.
"Liana we both know that won't hurt me so put it down" he pointed to what she was holding.
Liana chuckled but Xavier could feel her anger still radiating from her eyes, "Let's try and see " she said before leaping to where he was.

"What happened to your face?" Gerald asked his friend.
"Annoyed Liana," he said.
Gerald laughed, "what happened?".
" I told her about meeting her parents and this happened " he pointed to the cut on his face.
"You know how her parents treat her it's normal for her to react that way " Gerald let out.
"I know I hurt her feeling for going behind her back and seeing them but I had to so they would know who they are messing with " Xavier explained.
"So Liana can hurt you well that's amusing " Gerald examined the cut on Xavier's face.
"Yes she can and what makes it worse, I can't heal faster cause it's her who hurt me " he frowned.
Gerald tapped his friend's shoulder, "You could have dodged her " he said.
Xavier smirked, "She looked so attractive holding the knife towards me that I lost my focus and she got me "
Gerald's smile hardened glaring at Xavier, "You really just said that?"
Xavier smiled, "I did ,cause it's true, even when she wanted to stab me. Liana was desirable in every move she took "
Gerald got up, "Your losing your mind, I hope you don't find your heart stabbed next time cause you're too busy finding her attractive," he said leaving his office.
Xavier laughed as he stroked his face wound.
