Liana laid down after Gerald left after all she heard her head hurt. Joy told her to get up and come down but she just kept laying in bed.
She kept thinking if the feelings she heard were hers or of Trinidad his first love. He didn't even remember they had been meeting for the past centuries.
Liana felt her head hurt more, getting up she strode to the bathroom deciding to take a bath.
"She got into the bathtub soaking her tired depressed body in the warmth of the water. She sat back closing her eyes.
" What are you doing right now " she breathed getting sleepy.
A knock came at the door, "Liana, we are leaving now. Joy made you some dinner so come down and have some "she woke up to hear her brother say.
" I dozed off " she muttered getting out of the tub. Her body felt hot and her feet were wobbly.
Moving to grab her robe Liana lost her balance falling backward.
Strong arms grabbed her before she hit the cold floor.
"Careful " she heard.
Liana pulled away in panic but almost fell again, the strong arms embraced her again a little laugh followed.
"Liana doesn't move or you will fall " she felt her eyes tear up and her body begin to shiver. Slowly Liana moved her eyes to see who was talking to her scared her heart and mind were playing tricks on her.
"Xavier?" she called not looking up fully.
"Hmm," he answered.
"Your back?"
"You summoned me," he said.
"But I have been doing it and failed " she burst into tears. His arms held her tighter and he carried her off her feet.
She didn't dare look at his face and held onto his neck as he wrapped her in a towel walking back to her bedroom.
"Maybe you didn't need me that much that's why it didn't work," he said.
He sat down placing Liana on his lap.
"But I did I wanted to see you so bad that I went crazy with anger but you didn't come " she cried her hold on his tightening.
His hand stroked her back, "Don't cry am here now. You can punish me as you see fit " he said.
Finally, Liana pulled away looking at him, her black eyes filled with tears stared back at his glowing golden eyes. His ash-white hair was longer her hand rubbed it as she scanned his face.
"I missed you Xavier " she cried. His smile disappeared while his hand wiped away her tears.
"I missed you more than you can imagine," he said. "I was in agony each second and day I was away from you "
She stopped crying and pulled off his shirt examining his body, "Did he hurt you?" she asked.
"Who? " he said
"Your father," her eyes noticed his surprised look, "Gerald told me about him "
"He did not," he said.
"But why did he take you away from me," she asked.
"Our bond makes me vulnerable the stronger it became the more dangerous it gets for me," he said.
His hand rubbed in the still visible wounds on her body.
"Am immortal but our link is slowly making me human. So anything I experienced during my lifetime is going to return gradually. Since I don't remember much about my old life I don't know what will happen" he explained.

Liana was still holding onto him listening. She remembered asking Gerald how Xavier never questioned his surroundings change every time he was reset.
"It's because I told him that he had lived that life and died. Since he was immortal he just returned to life but his memories of that old life had gone. So when he awoke completely new and asked how things had changed again, I told him that lie and we moved on".

She turned back to him.
"And when that time comes it's you who is affected first then to me," he said.
"Like what happened to me at the shoot," she said.
"I felt it but before I could come to you, my father summoned me back " he brushed his fingers on her face.
"So are you going to leave me cause I make you vulnerable or because it hurts me too?" she asked.
He glanced at her seeing the sadness and confusion in her black eyes.
"Do you want me to?" Liana vigorously shook her head as tears formed in her eyes. "I don't care if am being selfish or die through all this but I want you to stay by my side no matter what " she cried.
He held her stopping her from shaking her head.
"Then let's be selfish together 'cause am not going anywhere " he pulled her close hungrily kissing her.
