The interrogation room was small, dimly lit, and filled with an air of tension as Gabriel, janet, and myself sat across from the police officers who were eager to get to the bottom of the shootout and car crash incident.
Officer Samuel, a stern-looking man with a no-nonsense attitude, took the lead. "Let's start from the beginning. What exactly happened at the hospital? We've got conflicting reports, and we want the truth."
Gabriel, with his usual calm demeanor, began to weave a convincing tale. "It was a routine investigation. We received a tip about suspicious activities related to a potential supernatural threat. We were there to assess the situation, but things escalated quickly."
I nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we weren't expecting armed resistance. It caught us off guard. The suspects were heavily armed, and it turned into a full-blown firefight. We did our best to contain the situation and protect innocent lives."
Janet, playing her part, added, "I got caught in the crossfire. I was just a bystander visiting a friend at the hospital. It was terrifying. I'm lucky to be alive."
Officer Samuel furrowed his brows, skeptical. "And the car crash?"
I quickly jumped in, "We were trying to evade the assailants. They chased us, and in the chaos, our car got hit. It was a matter of life and death."
Gabriel nodded again, reinforcing the story. "We were forced to make split-second decisions to ensure our safety and the safety of everyone around us."
The police officers exchanged glances, seemingly buying into the fabricated story. Officer Samuel sighed, "Alright, this seems like a complicated situation. We'll have to sort through the evidence and witness statements. But for now, you're free to go. Just make sure you're available for further questioning if needed."
As we left the police station, Janet couldn't help but feel a mix of relief and guilt. we had managed to deceive the police, at least for the time being, but the weight of their fabricated tale hung over them.
Gabriel pulled me aside, whispering, "We need to be cautious. Our actions have consequences, and we can't afford any slip-ups."
I nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. Little did the police know that the supernatural world they were dealing with was far more complex and dangerous than they could ever imagine. we left the police station, leaving behind a web of deceit that concealed the true nature of our mission.
Sebastian
"These are strong believers in god but don't fear them." I say before knocking. "Seb sweetie we might be Lucifer's offsprings but we aren't afraid of religious beliefs or objects."
"In other words we don't give a fu-"
Aiden swung open the, interrupting Lucius's potty mouth. "The family trio, come in." The two siblings went ahead as Aiden pulled me to the corner.
"How old is your brother?" He asked with eager in his whisper meaning he obviously finds Lucius appealing. Aiden's my best friend and I want to see him happy but this is the anti Christ himself, son of Satan, AKA biggest red flag.
"He's 17 just like the rest of us but he's not my brother." I say with a chuckle.
"Sorry, step brother, so when did you find out?"
"The night your sister's boyfriend went missing and speaking of her, is she okay?"
I know I saw her in the van when it tumbled but I was so high on my victory I didn't really care at the moment. I'm back to being silent and sneaky because Van Helsing just won't die!!
What's an immortal got to do to get rid of another immortal, it's not like I can just hurt him to death. He'll always come back and probably stronger.
If I have to put him down once and for all then I'll need some information from Lucifer, he gave my father incredible power to stop him so maybe he can give me a clue of what I'm dealing with when it comes to Van Helsing.
"Sebastian, are you just going to stand at the front door frame all night?" Lucius asked while aiden's parents greeted them.
I shake my head and move towards them. "I was just thinking about the fact that you like Lawrence and don't know much about him and hey didn't you say you're taking a break from boys and you're actually into blondes?"
Aiden's face glowed pink. "He's so charming, I just can't help it. The way his dead blue eyes stared into mine made my heart do cartwheels."
"And that's love at first sight for you?"
"I wouldn't call it that but it was something. I just want to get to know him."
"Well I'm no fun, I don't know much about the dreamy fuck boy either."
"He's not a fuck boy."
"You think he's interested just because he was leaning on your dad's car smirking? He acts like that with everyone I've seen so far so don't waste your time trying to get to know him."
"If I didn't know any better I'd think you were jealous."
"Aiden you know I'll just looking out for you like a friend should."
He sighs and nods then walked away to sit down. Eventually I did too. We watched a couple of movies and talked until 11:23 PM.
"We had a great time Mrs Slovak." Haitia shouted out as I waited for her and Lucius. I look over at my house and saw a even more frightening sight, a 7 foot tall shadow standing at the front door.
I blink for a moment and it was gone. "Sebastian what's with you and being zoned out, have you been smoking that bush?" Lucius spoke and I playfully push him so I could humor out that feeling of fear I felt. I usually don't feel that way.
Quinn
Surprisingly shadow has been a good puppy, no barking or growling. Maybe it's getting used to me or the beast inside is communicating with him.
I know I'm close to changing because I keep feeling a gnawing sensation in my jaw and an overwhelming urge to hunt.
As the day goes on, i begin to notice changes in my senses and physical abilities. I feel stronger, faster, and more agile than usual, and my eyes seem to glimmer in the sunlight.
The urge to hunt intensifies as the sun begins to set, and i feel an unstoppable drive to catch my prey but I think of Janet's beautiful green eyes and I'm back to normal.
I test my new abilities, trying out my powerful legs and quick reflexes. I run and leap through the forest with ease, my senses acute and my claws ready for the kill.
"We're back!!" Gabriel says but I was in the woods. "Hey shadow where's your father?" I laugh and run all the way to her back yard. "If you're the mom and Quinn's the dad then that makes me the-
"The uncle." I crept up behind him as he jumped a little. "Quinn where were you?" Janet asked with crossed arm as her eyes followed to my muddy boots.
"I can explain, i went out for a few minutes to test my new ability." I forced a smile and Gabriel rubbed his face with his hands.
"What if someone saw you?"
"But no one did. Gabriel my guy just relax you're over reacting." I say poking him in the chest as he glared at me.
"Quinn, I don't think you understand that you're a werewolf that will attack any day now." She said tiredly.
"I know."
"Speaking of the full moon I need to get back to Maria about that." Just then his phone went off. It's a blessing how he saved the devices before the explosion.
"Hel- hey calm down,"
Janet's face screwed with worried as I waited for an answer.
"what do you mean shes dead, how,"
oh my God its liz. Janet yelp and backed away. I kinda feel like its my fault ever since I came there's nothing but death.
"maria you know you can tell me just about anything now speak." I watched Gabriel's face go from straight to pale. either she hung herself or someone murdered her. What if Gabriel heard us and killed her for the little time he was gone?
he takes a deep breath before hanging up. "i have to go, don't wait up." with one swift motion of him grabbing his coat he was out the door. "janet." I called out to her and she hummed back with a sniffle. "Babe Why are you crying she doesn't deserve your tears."
"I know but everyone's dying around me and I don't understand why, maybe it's because this year is a leap year." Shrugged and wiped her face as she sat down.
"Yeah you're right but I think I know who killed her."
She paused and sniffled. "What?"
"Gabriel is hiding something about the werewolf curse from us." I replied and she rolls her eyes.
"I don't understand Quinn. What do you mean."
"When we went to see Liz, of course she was stalling and then she tells me that he was once bitten in 1888 but he found a cure." She moves away from me in anger and disbelief.
"If he found a cure then why isn't he telling us the ingredients?"
"I don't know but to me he doesn't want us to find out more than what I already know." I pulled her between my legs as she looked down with tired eyes.
"Should I ask him about it when he comes back?" She asked running her hand through her hair and I shook my head.
"No, I'll do it."
Gabriel
Arriving at the warehouse I see maria and Nicholas. She was shaking while he investigated Liz's body. "Oh good, you're here. A few others are coming." He informed me as I went over to Maria.
When I get closer I could hear her praying in Spanish. Whatever she saw must've really traumatized her.
"Maria." She looks up at me. "This will sound insane but I think Liz was possessed." She spoke and looked at the floor again.
"Like demonic or just her behavior?"
"It was demonic," she shook her head up and down dazed out. "The way she levitated in the air and laughed when I asked the entity what their name was instead of usually telling me."
Maria comes from a family of powerful people of god who did lots of exorcism in their prime but she was just a scientist and I guess that's why it didn't work because her faith wasn't fully there.
"Did it show you its true identity?"
"Does red glowing eyes count?" She says rubbing her face.
"Not much but I'll look into it."
Suddenly other investigators came even that psychic Robyn from the holy order. "Hello immortal long time don't see." She smiled as I pulled her into a hug.
"I had a dream about Liz's death and it had something to do with a unknown demon. This was never mind in church or in the bible."
"That doesn't make sense."
"Exactly but it's interesting. This demon is female and gave Lucifer two offsprings. The Gate of hell is open and they're walking among us."
This is what Liz was talking about, the Gate of hell and the mother. She killed Liz but why if she helped her out of hell?
"They tricked her into releasing Lucifer, Haitia and Lucius from hell. Oh god Gabriel something's really bad is about to happen to you." She suddenly started sobbing uncontrollably and the hairs on my neck stood.
"Did you see what happen exactly maybe I can avoid it."
"He's going to take your ring and give it to Sebastian." she grabs my left hand with the Dragon ring on it. What is important about this thing?
"Okay slow down who are these two?"
"Lucifer and Dracula's son are plotting on finally killing you." Wait, dracula had a son? Didn't I kill everything he created when I bit him?
"They can only try." I say confidently and she punches my shoulder. "No matter how strong you think you are Gabriel everyone has a weakness. Even Clark kent."
"Be careful Gabriel, whatever these two are planning seems big."
"I've dealt with worse, remember when I said I fought the Romans around the 73 A.D. times?" I say with a smile and she nods.
"You're right, why am I worrying?"
Gheata
"So how was it?" Lucifer asked the kids but they were too busy their phones. "Everything went well mom except for one minor part where I saw someone standing at the front door on my way back."
He saw me and I saw him. I felt his fear from a distance but couldn't really understand. He's a monster himself, how can he be afraid of me?
"It was van Helsing I'm positive." Lucifer lied for me and i thanked him with a smirk.
"Why can't he just leave us alone? We've been so good but yet still he's on our tails. I'm exhausted of running. I want to kill him once and for all."
"I like your style mini dracula. Don't let some fake holy man get you scared." Sebastian blushed as Lucifer walked over to him.
"Come I want to show you something." He takes the boy's hand but I stopped them. "Where are you taking him?"
"Oh Gheata my love I'm just showing the boy what his true purpose is."
Something tells me history will repeat itself if Sebastian finds out about his father's plan from all those years ago.
Third person
Lucifer led Sebastian through a dimly lit corridor within their mysterious mansion. Portraits of supernatural beings adorned the walls, hinting at the family's otherworldly connections. Finally, they reached a concealed chamber filled with ancient artifacts and arcane symbols.
"Sebastian, my boy, the time has come for you to understand your true purpose," Lucifer declared, his eyes ablaze with an otherworldly intensity. Sebastian, intrigued and a bit nervous, listened attentively.
"As the offspring of Dracula and myself, you possess a unique lineage that grants you unimaginable power. Your destiny is entwined with the balance of this world and the supernatural realm," Lucifer explained cryptically.
Sebastian's curiosity peaked. "What do you mean, Father? What am I meant to do?"
Lucifer produced an ancient scroll, its contents written in a language long forgotten by mortals. "You are destined to wield the power that will open the Gate of Hell, unleashing forces that will reshape the supernatural hierarchy."
Sebastian, torn between fascination and uncertainty, questioned, "But why? What purpose does this serve?"
Lucifer's eyes glinted with determination. "Power, my son, power beyond comprehension. The realms will bow to you, and you will transcend the limitations imposed upon our kind. Embrace your destiny, Sebastian, for you are the key to a new era."
---
In another part of the mansion, Haitia and Lucius took Sebastian aside, away from the prying eyes of Lucifer.
"Sebastian, there's something crucial you need to know," Haitia began, her expression a mix of concern and reluctance.
Lucius, with a stern gaze, added, "Gheata is not your mother."
Sebastian's eyes widened in surprise. "What? But Lucifer always referred to her as my mother."
Haitia sighed, "Gheata might have raised you, but you are not her biological son. Lucifer chose her to be your caretaker for a specific reason, and that reason is tied to the grand design he has for you."
Lucius interjected, "Your true mother was human, and Lucifer orchestrated your upbringing to fulfill his plans. Gheata played a role in shaping you for the destiny he envisions."
Sebastian, grappling with this revelation, questioned, "Why keep this from me? What is Lucifer's true intention?"
Haitia hesitated before responding, "Lucifer believes that ignorance is a powerful tool. Your actions, uninfluenced by the knowledge of your true origins, would serve his purposes more effectively."
As Sebastian absorbed the weight of these revelations, the intricacies of his existence and the plans set in motion by his supernatural lineage became more apparent. The shadows of destiny loomed ominously over the mansion, setting the stage for a future filled with both intrigue and peril.
