David entered the living room and immediately headed for where he knew the teddy bear was before he picked it up and headed back to the kitchen.
"This is it. " David said as he walked to his seat and sat down before placing it on the table for everyone to see it.
The crew took a good look at it but it seemed like a normal doll.
"it doesn't look unusual, most haunted dolls are old and have history."
"This is just a modern teddy bear. " Zach said while observing the bear.
"James, Go get the EMF in the center console of the car. " Zach ordered.
James and the others had weird looks on their faces but James didn't argue and did as he was asked.
However while James held his curiosity back and excited the kitchen, Adam couldn't.
"Why do you have an EMF in your personal car?" Adam asked curiously.
They took his personal car and not the van with all the equipment because they didn't come to investigate and didn't plan to.
So he was genuinely confused about why there was an EMF inside his car.
"Just in case, of course." Zach replied and gave him a look that said 'Why are you asking such a silly question?'.
"Sure..." Adam said while trying to hold in his laugh.
'This is why you're the boss, I guess.' Adam thought.
Billy ignored their overzealous leader who loved hunting ghosts and picked the doll up from the table to inspect it closer.
"You know, it would be really frightening if it came alive in your hand." Adam saw him pick up a doll that supposedly moved on its own with his hands and said his thoughts out loud.
"Don't jinx me." Billy glared at Adam for his comment.
The couple looked at each other awkwardly as they watched this group of good friends joke
around.
Zach saw them and shifted the topic.
"What else did it do?" Zach asked curiously.
"Well, besides what we told you earlier, sometimes the doll would wait at the front door for us. " David said.
"Do you think it was Jack who possessed and moved it?" Billy asked with the doll still in his hand.
"Yeah, probably. " David confirmed.
"Honestly Jack probably did it because this idiot almost pissed his pants in fright when it first walked and so Jack continued just to mess with him. " Sarah said while throwing her husband under the bus.
David gave her a look of betrayal as she told them and the crew looked amused.
"That sounds about right, Jack really likes to frighten you, when he knows your weakness," Billy said while remembering their investigation.
"He has even taken it into my bedroom just so I can wake up with the doll staring at me..." David unhappily grumbled making the crew even more amused.
At this time they heard James enter the front door and so they waited patiently for him to enter the kitchen again.
A dozen seconds later James entered the kitchen with the EMF.
"Here. " James said as he handed it to Zach.
Zach took the EMF and turned it on before Billy placed it back on the table.
After that, Zach put the EMF close to the doll but got no readings from it.
"Nothing..." Zach stated.
Jack rolled his eyes when he heard him.
'Of course, there's nothing, I'm not possessing it and it shouldn't just emit emergy.'
"Well let's just leave this here leaning up against this and you guys can continue with whatever else happened. " Zach said and placed the EMF leaning against the doll.
"Okay, well the other thing that happened is a mist just started forming in the living room, it was so thick we couldn't see anything."
David explained.
The crew looked at each other in confusion.
"The whole room, not just a figure or specific spot?" Adam broke the silence.
"Yes." David could see their disbelieving faces.
"It just spontaneously formed in the living room while we watched TV. " David added.
"Wow, I mean I've heard of a spot of mist forming and moving but I've never heard of any spirit doing a whole room like that. "
James said.
The crew all nodded, they saw and heard of crazy things but never a ghost inside a modern house making mist form so much that they couldn't see in front of them.
"Interesting." Zach said and the silence continued for a bit afterward.
"How thick was it?" Billy asked.
"Thick enough that we couldn't even see the TV when it formed." David answered.
"Did Jack get stronger, or gain new abilities after our investigation?" Zach joked and gained a couple of laughs but unknowingly he had hit the spot head-on.
"That's crazy, hopefully, you guys can get it on camera to show us. " Adam spoke his thoughts.
"Yeah, we'll call you if we do." David agreed and Jack felt complicated.
He doesn't know if he was going to be able to continue being here with them because he set his mind to clicking continue and who knows what will happen after.
If he's not going to be able to see them again he just might miss them a little, mostly Angelica her cuteness heals Jack's, ghostly heart.
After a few moments of silence, Zach realized everyone had said what they wanted to say and so he moved the conversation forward by asking,
"Is that all you wanted to share with us?"
David and Sarah looked at each other for a few seconds before they both answered.
"Yes." x2
"Great, so we can get straight into showing you what we have as evidence." Zach excitedly started setting the laptop up in the middle of the table.
"We've also been looking forward to seeing what you guys have to show us. " Sarah replied with equal enthusiasm.
