A few hours later, it was about 9 p.m, Angelica had just been put to bed early because of school tomorrow and the couple stayed up late together watching some shows.
Jack waited exactly for this moment.
He walked over to a brown bear plush doll and possessed it.
He was just out of the couple's sight so he decided to practice walking and moving.
After all, how could he possibly scare them if he fell flat on his face every time he walked a couple of steps, or did a movement he was unused to?
With such a small height, having a body filled with stuffing, and after he has been used to his ghost form for a bit although he instinctively could manage, sometimes he would trip over himself when he did complicated movements with this body full of stuffing.
It took a few minutes before he was able to walk decently.
He took a couple more minutes to get used to jumping and some other movements.
While he did this he did pay attention to the couple to make sure they didn't see him, luckily the TV was loud and his body light so they didn't hear his slight rustling.
After about a minute he felt he was ready.
Jack checked his energy and saw that his energy was more than half used already just from moving this doll around so he had to be fast.
He stood up and walked toward the couple and as soon as he entered their sight he started waving at them.
David was the first to notice it out of the corner of his eye and he turned to look curious at what it was.
At a glance he was stiff and frightened to his core, his heart lurched, his throat dried, and his face pale when he saw the plush bear standing and waving at him.
He almost thought he was in one of those shows where the toys come to life, and not one of the ones where they are friendly, no, he thought it was one of those where they kill the owners.
Jack saw his expression and was exhilarated.
He didn't feel bad in the slightest right now.
Jack started to walk up to David.
David saw the toy come towards him and jerked, almost jumping up and running.
But then he remembered his wife behind him, so he gather his courage and stood his ground.
Sarah noticed something wrong with her husband and turned to look at him.
She saw he had a pale and consternated face, so she got worried.
She turned to look at what he was staring at with such a face and then saw "It".
Sarah's reaction wasn't much better than David's.
Her face changed from curious to shock and paled before she hid behind David and watched as the bear approached.
Jack walked slowly not only to enjoy their reactions but moreover, he makes sure he doesn't make a fool of himself by falling.
The couple watched as the plush bear doll approached them menacingly.
With each of its steps closer, they felt their hearts beat faster and faster.
Until it was just a couple of feet away and their hearts were beating so fast and they were breathing so deeply they felt they were going to have a heart attack.
Just before it entered within range of David who prepared to kick it away, it suddenly fell limp on the ground.
It was like it was a puppet and its strings were cut.
Jack who was so focused on not falling and enjoying their reactions didn't realize his energy was running dry and so he was surprised when he was suddenly thrown out of the doll.
'Shit, I should have hurried, but their expressions were so good.' Jack thought as he reminisced about their frightened faces.
David and Sarah both stared at the fallen doll with confused faces.
Sarah was the first to gather her wits and started slightly pushing her husband forward.
David felt his wife nudging him and hesitated.
What if it was playing dead to sneak attack them after his first sneak attack failed when he noticed it, David thought to himself.
Sarah saw him hesitate and rolled her eyes.
He always overthinks things.
After Sarah had a bit to calm down she had already realized what happened.
"It was probably Jack just messing with us again.". Sarah said as he shoved her husband out of the way before going to the doll and picking it up.
David's heart lurched even more than when he saw the doll move when he saw his wife approach it.
But before he could stop her, he heard what she said and realization dawned on him.
As David had his realization, Sarah gave the doll a good look over just in case and she noticed no more movements.
She recognized the doll as Angelica's so after noticing nothing weird about it she walked over and placed it back where it belonged.
" I swear..." Sarah started, about to reprimand David for his cowardice.
But when she remembered how frightened she was when she saw it, she stopped herself and just sighed.
"Let's go to bed, turn the TV down and leave it on for Jack." Sarah ordered David when she saw the time and then she left the living room and entered their bedroom.
She thought it was about time after such an incident.
David did as she asked while keeping an eye out for any other movement now that he was alone.
When his task was completed he almost jogged out of the living room so he could join his wife while muttering curses.
"Great, let's go to bed right after that so I can have nightmares." David muttered just as he was about to exit the living room.
Jack heard him mutter so he chuckled and then checked his system to see how much he gained for that.

'Not bad...' Jack thought, maybe they were just used to his usual things and he might still gain a little if he does new things.
Jack sat and watched TV all night while trying his best to think of things he could do to scare them.
