The once chaotic office room was now quiet and empty. Like a herd of deer, one panicked movement from a single deer caused the entire flock to stampede.
"I guess they all left, or they're all taking on their trials. However, it's highly likely they all took a trial. Probably as some people began disappearing to take their trials, everyone else probably panicked and started too." Zane remarked. "I should move too."
Time was ticking, but the blue screen wasn't kind enough to display a countdown. Looking at the classes available from the 4th and 5th level citizens, Zane needed to make a quick decision.
"I could go for something more specialized or keep getting more of the bottom barrel jobs." Zane began contemplating. "Would more be better in this case? I have a feeling the trails for the other jobs might increase in difficulty. I can't be sure though."
Weighing his options, he came to a roadblock. "Ugh. I don't have enough data to evaluate. If I assume the all the jobs for the 5th class are the same, then I can assume they can be completed quickly. Five minutes tops."
Thinking quickly, Zane made a decision. "I'll stop acquiring jobs under the 5th class citizen once someone comes back so I can re-assess. Or after acquiring my 6th job, which will be about half an hour. I'll attempt the jobs in the 4th classes after that half-hour. That will hopefully get me enough information to evaluate, but I'll miss out on the other cooler jobs… man. I really wanted a job as a sage though."
Sighing to himself, his habit of reducing risk was hard to break. He proceeded to select his next class and pressed the "BEGIN" button.
Zane was teleported into an small tranquil meadow with a plethora of vibrant fauna. A blue screen popped up, and Zane proceeded to read his new tasks.

After reading Zane needed to reassess his original thoughts. "Seems like some tasks may take a bit more than 5 minutes, but not too much more. Those extra tasks are worth completing too and might possible take more time. This changes things a bit."
Getting right to it, Zane clicked on the link and another blue pop up screen appeared. The bright blue-green serrated leaf was rather conspicuous. Clicking the other links, he remembered his list of items to be gathered as he bolted off into the small meadow that had a small stream running through it.
The quest was pretty easy as the ostrich size and yellow scaly egg was easy to spot at the far end of the grassy meadow. Running to collect the egg first, a ding sounded as Zane picked up the large egg. The colorful mana leaves grew along the stream on the opposite side of the meadow. The berries grew along small bushes across the stream from the mana leaves.
Rushing to the opposite side of the meadow, Zane just grabbed a bunch of mana leaves. Another ding was ding sounded. Acting like he didn't hear it, he dashed through the cold waters of the stream and picked a handful of berries. With the last sound, the blue pop up screen appeared.

Zane noticed he got extra goodies he collected. He reminded himself to grab anything and as much as possible when going the the trials.
Quickly pressing the complete button, Zane was transported back to his work office. Looking around, he noticed no was back yet. However, he did realize his shoes were wet.
"Does this mean anything that happens to us in the trials carries back here too?" Zane came across a vital piece of information. "That means if we are injured then…" understanding the implications, Zane reassessed what he next actions.
He hesitated on clicking on the hunter class, but he thought that the rewards for it would be worth it. He would probably be hunting some sort of prey with him being the predator, which meant his chances for injury were lower.
Following his plan, Zane acquired the Hunter, builder, miner, and student jobs with all their extra tasks completed. Grabbing everything he could, he mainly got more herbs found in the environment he was in, but he was also able to get a good variety of ores and some gems from mining. According to his plan, all of Zane's six jobs were acquired, however, no one had yet to come back.
"Did they all take difficult jobs in the higher classes, or did they all leave?" Zane was hoping to get some information on the trials for the higher job classes, but he had no luck. Proceeding with his plan, he went to the jobs under the 4th class citizen.
Zane wanted to find a job that could use magic. He realized all jobs under the 5th class citizen did not have anything related to mana.
"I have to get the mage job. I want something to heal too, but I not sure I have enough time to even get the mage job. I haven't seen anyone back yet so maybe these jobs take longer. I'll try to get a healer class if I happen to have left over time."
