A gentle light embraced Angela's body. Her curvaceous figure was wrapped in radiant light. Her platinum hair seemed to be alive as it fluttered in the air.
'This feels… different.'
A few seconds later the light vanished and Angela was back to normal.
"That felt… nice."
Angela looked at Kane seductively and gave him a lustful smile.
'She's the same as always.'

Angela's pov:
"It seems we'll be parting ways again, Angela."
"Kane..."
"Fufu, don't worry about me. You know who I am, I always come back. Just promise me you will as well."
Kane lay in Angela's arms as blood poured down his chest.
"Un... I promise."
Tears poured from her delicate eyes, and her hair was covered in dirt and blood.
A sea of dead bodies littered the ground, bodies of ancient gods floating in their own pool of blood. Hundreds of divine beasts were slaughtered and scattered around the battlefield.
Kane handed Angela a blue pendant with orange metal bordering an intricate symbol.
"Keep this with you... It'll help me find you in the future."
Kane gave Angela a gentle smile as his eyes slowly closed.
"Kane, Kane! Wake up! Please don't do this, please..."
Tears of blood poured down her face, as Kane's body slowly wilted away.
A towering figure stood beside them.
"It seemed the great monarch has finally been slain."
Angela clenched her bloodied fists.
"You have no right to utter his name..."
"He was once my master. I at least have some respect."
"You betrayed us. What right do you have to offer your respect?"
"it's a matter of perspective, Angela. Who betrayed who first?"
Angela glared at the burly man standing a few feet ahead of her.
"So you betrayed him? Is the trust in your master lacking enough for you to revolt against him? Is killing millions enough to satisfy your greed? Your incompetency cannot fathom a single responsibility he has to handle every second. What right do you have to judge whether he betrayed?"
"...You are not wrong Angela. However, what right did he have to kill my family?"
Silence lingered.
"Angela, I too trusted in you. But..."
"Not anymore..."
Slash*
.
..
...
"Panting* panting* Kane..."
Angela woke up in a cluttered room a blue pendant was clutched in her hand. Her body was sore as she slept on the floor.
"Gulp* Where was I? Kane... Why does my chest hurt when I think of that man..."
Breaking her from her stupor was a ringing noise coming somewhere out of her room.
Ring* ring*
A blue crystal shone on top of a table.
Ring* ring*
Angela groaned as she lazily stood up from the floor.
"Who's calling me this early in the morning? Richard?"
Angela grudgingly headed to the bathroom and took a quick shower, then put on some clothes and headed to the castle. Beautiful white walls, seemingly indestructible came into her view.
"It seems my magic is working as usual."
An elven guard came up to her and said.
"Priestess Angela. The King is waiting for you in the dining hall."
The elven guard looked at her nervously.
Angela nodded her head as a maid walked toward her.
"Good morning madame priestess. I'll guide you to the King."
Angela followed the maid inside the castle, she could've teleported, but she felt mentally fatigued.
A sharp pain suddenly went through her head.
"Agh*"
"Ms. Priestess?"
The maid looked at her worriedly.
"I'm, fine..."
"... Yes Ms. priestess."
Angela followed the maid into the dining hall.
"Richard, this better be important. I'm not in a good mood right now, and I'd prefer my time not be wasted."
Her eyes squinted and glared at Richard.
"Angela, Laura was cured."
"What?"
She surveyed the room, and sitting on the opposite side of the room was a handsome man.
'Kane?!"
'No, it can't be... It's him.'
She stared at the man who seemed confused and said.
"You! Be my husband!"
***
Back to the present.
Angela looked at Kane and communicated with him using their connection.
'Kane... Do you remember me?'
'Yes, Angela. I do'
His voice sounded solemn and relieved.
Angela nearly burst into tears as she remembered her memories of her past life.
Kane walked toward her and gave her a gentle hug.
"I missed you."
"I missed you too."
Angela hugged him back, and tears flowed down her face.
Everyone in the room was surprised.
'Did they know each other?'
'Kane...'
'Angela knows him?'
Scarlett suddenly felt a pain in her hand. She grasped the ring on her finger and slumped on the ground.
"Ahh!"
Kane and Angela stopped hugging and looked at Scarlett.
"Scarlett!"
Kane rushed toward her and grabbed her shoulders.
He looked at her delicate hands and saw her gripping tightly on the ring.
'That bastard.'
"Scarlett do you know what this is?"
"I, don't know..."
Her face showed a pained expression as her hand started to grow pale.
Black y appeared in her hand.
"Ahhh!!"
Scarlett fell to the ground screaming in pain.
"Kane let me take a look."
"Angela..."
Kane looked at Scarlett nervously, then took a step back.
Angela crouched down near her hand and started chanting a spell.
Gold stream of light extended from her palm, it wrapped around Scarlett's hand, and instantly the black veins subsided
Scarlett's face returned back to normal and the black ring cracked in half.
Angela grabbed the ring and pulled it off her finger.
She created a small barrier around it and summoned a black box; putting the ring inside.
Kane walked toward Scarlett and picked her up. He looked at her with a worried expression then his face darkened.
"Angela..."
"Sigh* The ring had venom in it, specifically dark dragon venom. Although venomous, it's not deadly, but when it comes in contact with a phoenix..."
She looked at Scarlett and then at Kane.
"This happens. Her Nirvana flame gets affected and slowly kills her inside. Although Phoenixes are immortal due to their ability to reincarnate, the black dragon venom is the only venom that can kill them entirely."
"..."
Kane stood there holding Scarlett in his arms. Her face turned pale but her rosy complexion is slowly coming back.
Her eyes opened slightly and she looked at Kane.
"Kane..."
"I'm here."
"Thank you, for saving me."
"Don't thank me, thank Angela."
A small was on his lips as he looked toward Angela.
Angela turned away and said.
"I only saved you because Kane wanted me to."
"Thank you, Angela."
"..."
Angela's face was slightly blushing.
Kane looked at the two and smiled.
Laura walked toward him and said.
"Kane, I know it's not really the right time. But, something's been bothering me. How do you know Angela?"
Kane looked at her surprised and said.
"Oh, sorry. How can I explain this."
Kane looked at angela, and she nodded.
"Alright. Laura, I think I've been here before."Trans
