⚠️ Warning/s: Sexual suggestions, Pure and utter beauty ⚠️
Flashback:
Usually, their wide range of personalities was enough to keep people away, however, they managed to catch my attention back then and that's why I was with them on the train. When I say they "caught my attention", I don't mean that they looked like people I'd socialise with, no, it was that they were so loud my head swiveled to the side of its own accord.
As we walked off, we brought this trouble with us now, as we headed towards the Entertainment District.
Y/N POV (Age 14):
The Entertainment District was full of bustling streets, many people wandering around under the bright lanterns hanging from strings stretching from roof to roof. Dark red and black houses decorated the sides of the street while the glow of the lanterns adds a sense of familiarity and entices darker feelings out in people. The shadows they hide away are revealed, and people can stay hidden in those shadows.
Walking through said streets, Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu, Nezuko, Uzui, and I walk beside the booming crowd, heading towards this beautiful woman. She wore massive getas with fair skin and sharp features. Her black hair had multiple gold hirauchi kanzashi hairpins supporting both the maegami and tabo sections of her hair. Wearing an elaborate Susohiki kimono that was lilac with white flower designs weaving around it. She wore a navy haori over the top which contrasted with her light and delicate makeup.
Looking over in awe, I gestured to the others before pointing out the woman. Turning to Uzui, I asked: "Is she an Oiran?" The said woman turned around to face us, perhaps having heard me. Sending a smile my way, she quickly turned back to face the front as she paraded through the crowd of people in a dignified manner.
"Hai (Yes), she is. The Entertainment District is home to many houses, each of which hosts an Oiran. We are actually going undercover into these houses as housemaids in order to search on the inside for any demons." His voice started off light and cheery before it faded into its usual flamboyant tone.
"Alright, but why exactly are we doing this?" It was true, even though he was practically leading the mission he never told us why we were infiltrating the district.
"To find my 3 wives, Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru. They lived briefly here in the Entertainment District while keeping an eye out for any demons, as it was part of their training as ninjas. We agreed to send letters every week, but when I never received one, I knew something had gone wrong. From none of them did I receive a letter, making it look as though something had happened to them." My face took on a sad tone, feeling sympathetic for Uzui.
"So we're here to find them again, and to save them from the demon, then defeat it?" Tanjiro asked curiously while scanning the crowd for danger.
"Hai," Uzui replied, not missing a beat. With that, we ended the conversation and continued to observe the area. Zenitsu was hit on by a small group of girls standing up on a balcony as they waved to him and playfully gestured for him to go to them. Being the oblivious idiot he was, he looked around first before realising it was him, then blushing madly he ran towards them. Not making it far, he was grabbed by the back of his collar by Uzui, before being dragged after us as we ignored his pleas.
Soon enough Zenitsu regained his senses and began to walk patiently alongside us again. However not long later, we were all pulled into a desolate shop by Uzui. Inside he grabbed a chest and put it in front of him, before turning to face us all.
"Uzui-san, what is that box for?" Tanjiro asked innocently, curiosity flashed behind his eyes as he peered down at the closed chest.
"You'll see." His reply didn't give away much, but since he mentioned infiltration it's probably some disguises. Reaching his hand for the lock, he swiftly disarmed it and flung open the chest. Inside was makeup and kimonos, 4 of them, one for each of us.
He handed each of us a kimono and told us to go change in another room. Some shop owners came into the room and led us to where we should change, and I was greeted by a woman. She looked to be a couple of years older than me and sported black hair tied into a loose bun, with large chestnut brown eyes.
We walked in a comfortable silence to the room where I changed, before I carefully retraced my steps back to the room we were previously in. Upon entering, the others were in an argument as all of the boys were already there. They were yelling at Uzui for his horrible makeup skills, saying they look awful. Honestly, they did, but I wasn't going to be the one to break it to them.
Ignoring them, Uzui left them to their own devices as they tried to fix it, to no avail. I picked up some makeup and began applying it lightly onto my face. Yes, I knew how to apply the makeup so I didn't look like a walking zombie like the others. Also, yes, I could help them out but where's the fun in that?
Only when the boys realised some makeup was missing did they look at me. Their eyes burst out of their sockets and their mouths were agape as they saw me in my kimono and makeup. I sported a black kimono with red rose embroidery, and a white trim going around all of the edges to make it stand out (if you don't like it, feel free to design your own). My hair was tied back in a bun the same as the Oiran as I also wore large getas, though they weren't as tall as hers. I applied light lipstick and white eyeshadow to my face, going over my (E/B/C) eyebrows to create a contrast with my (H/L) (H/C) hair.
Being showered by compliments for a couple of minutes, I grew flustered before leading them out into the crowd, Uzui laughing at my 'flamboyant' misfortune. He began trying to get some of the houses to take us in as we stood idly by.
