Chapter 4 - Time to craft some things, and BEAR?!

Before lunch, I made tools for working stones from harder stones. This reminds me of a game full of blocks. Well, whatever, I'll just try to upgrade my stone craft skill so much that I only need magic to make things. Yes, this skill shows an evolution path, unlike most skills. In order to use it, I have to upgrade the skill 4 times. First level of skill is beginner, then apprentice, after that you can get semi-master and then master. Then it can be evolved to (Earth craft), which allows to use even metals. One of my other goals is to acquire a skill related to working with wood.

The rest of the day was not very interesting. After lunch I practiced my skills and then I slowly made a clearing around my home base. The ax for cutting trees is not the best and it splits quickly so I have to make a new one all the time. The next day I started breakfast. Then came the physical exercise. Right after that I had lunch and after that I trained my skills again and cut down trees. Right before dinner, I collected Racle fruit to have some for tomorrow's breakfast and lunch. And that's how it went for a few days. The strange thing is that no rats attacked me. Have I killed so many that they are afraid of me? And that's not the only weird thing. I have a strange feeling from time to time. As if someone was watching me. So far, the one watching me hasn't attacked me, so I don't think I have to worry.

On one of my evening walks for Racle fruit. A strange beast attacked me. It resembled a bear, but it was all red and had horns like a deer. Also it had something like scales or crystals on its back. He growled as soon as he saw me. I immediately used the summon tool. But he was already on his way to me. I created two metal rods in the air. For now, I can't create more than 3 at once. They both shot towards the bear's feet. He didn't stop but he instead pointed his horns at me. As soon as I saw it, I jumped out of the way.

*BOOM*

He hit a tree behind me and pulled it out of the ground just by hitting it. Cítil jsem, jak mi po tváři stéká studený pot. I don't know why but at that moment a smile appeared on my face. He ran at me again, and at that moment I pulled out the knives I had under my belt. They were my best work out of all the tools.

*Swish swish*

I threw both knives towards his eyes. One of those knives hit. The bear stopped because of the pain. Suddenly, a red aura began to escape from him.

"SHIT!" I screamed as I dodged just inches before his horns would impaled me. His horn tore my robe and scratched my side. That red aura is probably a skill. Let me guess the skill is berserker right? I´am looking at his angry face when suddenly I get an idea. He runs at me again, but this time he opened his mouth. I guess he wants to use breath attack. Like fire breath.

Change of plans. I create two metal rods in the air and aim them at his open mouth where a red orb is forming. He's only a short distance in front of me and I can already feel the heat from his mouth, and at that moment I shoot both metal rods into his mouth. Both of the rods flew thru the orb and hit his guts through his lower jaw. He fell to the ground and blood began to flow from his mouth. I must have crushed his heart from the inside with this attack.

Even though I am exhausted and injured, I carried his body home. Leather can be used for something and i can even taste its meat if i hurry. As soon as I got home, I skinned him, i took his skin and i hung it between two pieces of wood to dry it off. Then I took out his organs, which I threw away at a greater distance from my home. Yes, I know organs can be cooked too, but I just don't like them. This time I didn't go to sleep because I was watching the meat while the blood was dripping out. After some time, there was no blood left in it, so I started cutting it up immediately. After several hours of cutting, it was already morning, but all that was left of the bear was a pile of meat. I put everything in a box that was sprinkled with flower dust that keeps bugs away. I haven't found the salt yet, so I have to eat it in a few days, but I finally have meat. Of course I'll use the fangs and claws for knives and other things. I have so many that I can even make a necklaces out of them. And I could make a short sword out of the horns. Why a sword when I have a pole? The sword can make cuts. And the crystals or scales or whatever they are... I don't know what to use them for, for now.

Oh, before I forget, I should see what kind of bear it is.

Species: Urukor bear

Estimated strength:

Str: 200

Sp: 30

Dex: 40

Hp: 400

Mp: 200

Racial skills: Berserk, Fire beam.

Information: Typical resident of Great Sluen forest. Its horns as well as its scales on its back are very hard material. Based on the size of the horns, experienced hunters can estimate the age and sex of an individual. When they are angry or hurt, they usually end up in berserker mode. Their fire beam is an extremely powerful attack that even the strongest fighters must avoid.

WHAT THE HELL WAS I FIGHTING? He has twice as much hp as me. My heart almost dropped while reading about the red beam thing. So if I didn't manage to kill him at that moment, I would probably be dust by now. I should have used the first plan where I would have pierced him with metal rods that would have attacked him from below.

Well, it doesn't matter now. The main thing is that I only survived with a wound on my side. I have nothing clean to cover the wound. So today I will not take a bath so that nothing from the water gets into my wound. There's probably no point in sleeping anyway, and I think that thanks to my regeneration, the wound could heal by nightfall. But I know what the time is for. Meat, finally roasted meat. I want something other than Racle fruit after a long time. And I definitely won't eat any other fruit because most don't taste good.

With that in mind, I took all the tools I had prepared for roasting meat. I put a piece of meat on the stone grill. I wish I could freely use metals, but it's not possible yet. When I watched a piece of meat being slowly cooked, I begun to salivate. Last thing is to adding some flowers, which are according to the book, spices perfect for meat. Here we go.

I slowly took my first piece of meat in this world. And I slowly bit into it. The taste was indescribable. It tasted a little like chicken, but not quite. Maybe it was because of the spices, maybe because I haven't eaten meat in a long time, but it was delicious. Until the afternoon I just grilled and ate meat. When I finally had enough, I decided to look at my stats again.

I got a lot stronger and my evolution percentages is also higher. But I'm still not as strong as that bear. That will probably take me a while. By the way that scratch took so much hp?! Oh my Stone craft is almost at the level where I can evolve it to Earth craft. And I finally got wood craft and even as a bonus I got leather craft.

When I looked at both skills, I found out that those skills are almost the same as stone craft, but for leather and wood. Oh and I got the hunter title too.

(Hunter)

(This title can only be obtained by the one who managed to catch his prey with minimal damage to the fur and flesh.)

Oh interesting, but too bad it won't help me in any way. I decided to spend the rest of the day improving my Stone craft skill.

Its new day and I still haven't moved closer to the Earth craft. And crafting things using stone manipulation consumes a lot of mana. That's why my MP has increased so much in the last few days. Hmm, in the meantime, I might try making the short sword from that horn. But I don't have anything to dig into it or anything to work with it. Well, I'll put it in one of the boxes I made from cut trees. I created a small clearing around my home. come to think of it, I should rebuild it. Build walls etc.

Using Stone craft, I built a wall in the middle of the clearing. But because it consumes so much mana, I had to wait a long time to build the rest of the walls. The windows of the house were only wooden without glass and had small doors that I could close. And I finished it off with a wooden roof. My first house in this world, if I don't count the primitive shelter I had before that. Gradually I created chairs and a table, and also a bed, even though I only slept on bear fur. It was better then nothing.

After I brought all the boxes inside, another day was over. I haven't had any major problems since I've been here. Sometimes things didn't work out, but otherwise everything worked out for me. Mainly fights. I hope it stays that way for a long time, and I look forward to the moment when I finally have enough mana to create a permanent servant.
