She felt her cheeks burn and her heart skip several beats.
His expression remained cold as usual. She had never seen him change that expression on his face ever since she set her eyes on him.
Swallowing hard, she screamed, "Pervert!" And slapped his forehead hard.
Cyrus closed his eyes scowling deeply while Sage was proud that she slapped his forehead. She moved away from him and grunted standing on her feet.
"You kissed me! Oh my goodness!" Sage shouted dramatically touching her lips and touching her body. "Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness! You filthy creature!" She screamed and pointed at Cyrus who maintained a deep scowl on his face and stood up.
"Filthy creature?" Cyrus asked and opened his eyes which were in their silver reptile like eyes.
Sage blew air into her mouth standing brave even though her legs were shaking due to the cold. "Yes! Filthy creature! How dare you kiss me without my permission?!"
Cyrus couldn't believe what he was hearing. This woman really knew how to push his buttons and she was pushing them really good.
"Then, I should have let you die then," He scoffed through his teeth trying not to unleash his anger on her.
Sage gasped. "Yes! You should have!" She crossed her arms on her chest glaring at him. "Filthy creature," She muttered to his hearing.
"Alright, enough parrot," Cyrus snapped, appeared very close to her and flicked her forehead with his fingers that turned into a blue glowing ice.
Sage whimpered in pain then passed out.
"Pathetic!" Cyrus growled and carried her into his arm.
He had married such a dramatic talkative.
...
Cyrus laid her on the bed, removed her shoes and covered her with a thick furry white blanket.
"What a foolish child," He said and shook his head.
A lazy growl could be heard and it made Cyrus roll his eyes in annoyance. "Do not wake her up, the headache I have currently, is enough." He growled at the black demon panthers who was sitting close to the fire place.
Their blue eyes shun brightly and he walked towards them stroking their heads. Demon panthers were bigger than regular panthers and they were ruthless creatures that were very hard to tame.
"Where is snowflake?" Cyrus asked with a whisper.
Venus, who was the bigger panther stood up and walked towards the couch. Cyrus looked at the couch see a small pure white ball with a head at the corner of the couch sleeping soundly.
"How cute," He whispered maintaining his cold expression and serene tone. "Unlike that one," He looked back at Sage who was snoring loudly. "So noisy." He scoffed and frowned deeply then looked at his demon panthers who were staring at him.
"Are you curious why I didn't follow the front door but the window?"
Cyrus had not followed the main entrance of the castle but through his room window. It was something he just felt like doing. He preferred spending them with his pets than others.
A sudden knock on the door caused his panthers to growl loudly.
"Keep quiet," He hissed at them and narrowed his eyes at the door which slowly opened revealed a middle aged man who look fit and snobby. The dark circles around his eyes couldn't be unseen.
"I did not tell you to come in," Cyrus glared murderously at him and the man trembling, force a smile.
"I am sorry your majesty, it is an emergency." He spoke quakingly. He didn't know who he should be terrified of between Cyrus and the demon panthers.
"Emergency or not, do not enter my room without permission." Cyrus growled and shook his head, as he approached the terrified man who was lamenting his life choices. "You will make a good feast." He whispered to the man, tapping his shoulder.
"Your dinner, do not stain the floor nor wake up the parrot." He told his panthers, kicked the man into the room and closed the door.
The man yelled loudly, but his scream abruptly stopped, causing Cyrus to smirk evilly and reveal his dimples.
...
When Cyrus arrived, the man hall was crowded with well-dressed women and men. He walked towards his throne, sat down and crossed his long leg over the other.
He observed that several of them were searching for the person who had been asked to call Cyrus, and when they saw how composed Cyrus was, they realised what had happened to him.
"What is the emergency?" Cyrus asked nonchalantly.
"Your majesty, we heard that you have gotten married." One of the men, Tobias said bowing his head. "We are both happy and surprised."
"Mixed emotions, I won't judge, but it is my decision and nothing for you all to be worried about." Cyrus said calmly.
The men and women present in the main hall were the wealthy dragons who lived in Anitca city. They were wealthy and lived in luxury, but to Cyrus they were avaricious peasants since they often came to him pleading for additional authority to govern over the people.
Two dragon nations, Antica and Fireria, were created. The ice dragons once lived in Antica, but they had long since gone extinct. The fire breathing dragons live in Fireria. The fire-breathing dragons that dwelt in Antica were those who had remained devoted to the ice dragons over the years, and their offspring have since continued to do so, ruling under Cyrus.
"We.. um understand that sire but it is a bit strange that it happened so suddenly." One of the woman said.
"Since when did you peasants start involving yourselves in my personal life?" The dragons present were frightened to the very core as Cyrus's placid demeanour and his stunning face remained icy.
"We.. we are sorry, we are just worried!" Tobias exclaimed and the other murmured fearfully in agreement.
"Worried or looking for new to gossip," A deep cheerful voice echoed in the room.
Cyrus closed his eyes rubbing his forehead that Sage had hit earlier.
"Prince River!" A woman gasped.
"Leave!" Cyrus snapped at the dragons, opened his eyes and they all ran away. The women almost falling due to their heels.
Cyrus' eyes narrowed as he observed the incredibly attractive man in front of him, who was grinning warmly at him.
"Oh don't look at me like that, I am supposed to look at you like this because you didn't tell me that you were getting married!" He shouted dramatically and Cyrus rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"And should I care about that?" Cyrus asked narrowing his eyes.
River's gray eyes widened then he frowned. "My arrogant friend did not tell me that he was going to get married!" He gasped and placed his hand on his chest.
"Your uncle made me do it. I am sure you saw the letter." Cyrus remarked.
River Viadislav was the first born prince of Fireria and was a very close friend of Cyrus. They were supposed to be enemies but fate brought them together as friends.
"I did," River drawled. "Cyrus Dragos, I am in disappointed in you for getting married just to kill your spouse." He pointed at him and scoffed crossing his arms on his chest. "That is barbaric, even for you."
Cyrus didn't pay attention to River's words, his gaze was focus on his demon panther, Ares who had walked into the main hall.
"What happened?" Cyrus asked Ares who replied with a low growl that Cyrus understood immediately.
He stood up and frowned deeply clenching his fists.
"I just got married today, and that parrot can not stop causing troubles for me!" He yelled and used his speed to vanish from the main hall.
"Parrot?" River asked confused and looked at Ares who was glaring at him. "Oh," River chuckled in realisation nodding his head.
