Cyrus entered the room with a scowl.
Sage was not on the bed, he looked around for Venus, and walked towards the couch to see that the white fur ball was not there anymore.
The window was wide open, and the brisk wind caused the drapes to waver in the breeze. Looking at the balcony, he took slow steps towards there to see Venus staring at Sage who was standing on the railing.
The fur ball was on Sage's head and wasn't a fur ball anymore but a little pure white nine tailed fox.
"Sleep walking or sleep suicide?" Cyrus asked bluntly, pulled Sage down from the railing and took her into his arms while snowflake leaped from Sage's head and landed on Venus.
He placed Sage on the bed, pushed her hair away from her face, and covered her with a blanket.
Ares had come to the main hall to tell him that Sage had been sleep walking since they finished eating their meal.
Cyrus looked at the ground to see no blood stain at all.
"Watch her," He said to Venus and carried snowflake in his hands then placed the little nine tailed fox next to Sage.
He returned back to the main hall to see River poking the head of the annoyed looking demon panther.
"Just because you are my friend, it does not mean that he is not allowed to eat your head off." Cyrus said to River who laughed and moved away from Ares.
"I am here to tell you that I am going to Celestia for some weeks. Esteban and father are planning something against you, and I do not want to find out.. at least not now," River informed looking serious.
Cyrus nodded. "Go, I can take care of it." He said with a sigh.
"You got married to the mage to kill her, when are you going to do it?" River asked curiously.
"Soon," Cyrus replied and walked away with Ares following him.
"Interesting," River chuckled caressing his chin.
...
When Sage opened her eyes, she was met by a set of large, endearing blue eyes.
When she realised it was a cute little nine-tailed fox, she squealed with delight.
"Oh my goodness!" She took a sitting position and picked it up in her arms. She was reminded of Cyrus because it was so white, but she shrugged it aside as she stroked the nine-tailed fox.
As she became aware that she was in a huge, exotic room, she was astounded by how dark it was—it felt like a lair.
The room's fireplace was lighted, and there were two substantial bookcases next to it. The bed and linens were both black, and the drapes were heavy and gloomy.
"He looks like angel but is really a devil." She muttered to herself placing the fox on her laps.
Remembering what happened last night in the forest, she frowned deeply and rubbed her forehead.
"I will make his life a living hell!" She yelled in anger and gasped when she heard a snarl next to the bed.
Her eyes widened and she turned to the side of the bed to see a black demon panther. She immediately screamed loudly, leaped off the bed, and fled to the closest room before realising that it was a bathing room.
She took a deep breath and clutched the nine-tailed fox she was holding while gazing at the opulent pool area that led to a steaming pool that was ideal for the weather.
"Wow!" She exclaimed and giggled as she descended the five steps to the pool. She put the fox down and raised her gown so that she could easily dip her feet into the water.
"Do that and you will die earlier than I want you to die." She heard a familiar voice say behind her.
She jerkily turned to see Cyrus staring at her with his customary frigid demeanour, but she couldn't say anything because of how mouth-watering he had appeared earlier that morning.
His long white hair was damp and tangled on his shoulders, falling in short strands onto his forehead. His white linen shirt was unbuttoned, revealing his gleaming pale chest and hard abs.
Blinking rapidly, she swallowed hard to get back her senses. "You monster! There was a demon panther in the room!"
"My room," He spoke nonchalantly.
Sage's eyes twitched. "I want my own room!" She yelled.
"A child throwing a tantrum," Cyrus said and shook his head. He spoke like she was not in front of him.
"Me? A child?" She asked offended.
"You are going to do your wifely duties today. Behave well with the duchess." He said ignoring her and turned away.
Fire bursted out of her hand, created a sword made of raging fire.
"Wifely duties my foot!" She yelled and pushed the sword into his back without hesitation.
Seeing that he went still, she smiled brightly. "I told you that you would die in my hands," She snickered proudly and pushed the sword deeper making sure that it would come out of his stomach.
"Prefect." She sighed with satisfaction.
"You talk too much, parrot," He suddenly said, his voice hard and terrifying.
She let go of the flaming sword and moved aside as she watched it transform into a frozen ice sword.
She could not help but be terrified when he turned to face her with the sword sticking out of his stomach and blood all over his white shirt. He looked incredibly angry.
"You really want to kill me so quickly," He grunted, then reached behind him, pulled out the bloody blade, and pointed it towards her forehead.
Sage felt her throat go dry, her lips parted but no words came out.
The side of his mouth tugged up as he noticed how terrified she appeared. "I have been acting calm and gentle with you, it does not mean that I can not ruin you and scar you for life." He said earning a deep frown from Sage.
"You think you can scare me? You do not know what I am capable of," Sage said with rage.
She was growing to despise the man standing in front of her more than the dragons she had battled for years.
Cyrus eyebrows rose up in amusement. "Is that so?" He asked and chuckled deeply.
It was the first time she saw a different expression on his face and he chuckled so sinisterly.
"Yes!" She said confidently and clenched her fist.
"Very well," Cyrus said and raised the sword up distract her.
When she raised her eyes to the sword, he quickly split her dress in half to create a coat.
Sage, who had been wearing a gown-like undergarment, sighed in relief before launching him, grabbing the sword by the steel and hurting herself in the process.
As he watched the blood pour from her hands like water, Cyrus let go of the sword.
Sage ignored her injury and pointed the sword at him.
Seeing fire burning in those emerald eyes of hers, he walked towards her oblivious to the sword in front of him that was once more cutting through his chest.
Sage's eyes widened in shock and released the sword. "Why can't you die?" She asked with a whisper.
"Stabbing me?" Cyrus asked and shook his head. "It hurts though,"
Sage scowled and pushed the sword even further, earning Cyrus's agonised groan and bringing a smile to her face.
"So annoying!" He roared angrily and pushed her into the steaming pool behind her.
