Chapter 3 - transmigrating into ancient china (2)

Luo Yi did not wanted to visit her but as the official wife she had to do this.

Just after the mother daughter pair left, Mei walked in with chrysanthemum tea along with some steamed buns. Mei brewed a cup of chrysanthemum tea for Yue, the room was really quiet before Ming Yue spoke

"Mei, prepare a bath for me please"

"Young miss need not say please, enjoy the tea, I'll prepare the bath right away"

After Mei left, Ming Yue decided to rest again, this time she went near her room's window and sat there, a cool breeze flew right there, scattering her black raven hair, she just let the moment sink in.

She then was thinking about Yùlán courtyard,

from the previous owner's memories, this courtyard belonged to her deceased mother, this courtyard was situated in the eastern part of the residence. This courtyard was as nearly big as the main courtyard that belonged to General Ming .

Ming Yue's courtyard was a breath-taking oasis of beauty and tranquility. Vibrant and meticulously landscaped, the courtyard featured a central lake adorned with floating lotus flowers and a magnificent Yùlán flower tree. The tree stood tall and proud, its delicate blossoms releasing a sweet fragrance that permeates the air. Surrounding the lake were meticulously manicured gardens, filled with an array of colorful flowers and lush greenery. Amidst this picturesque scene, a stone path lead to the main hall, providing a serene passage for visitors. To the right of the main hall, you can find a separate prayer hall adorned with a Buddha sculpture, where one can seek peace and solace. Just after that main hall was Ming Yue's chamber, her chamber was very spacious with marble work on the floor and beautiful woodwork on the walls, just beside her chamber was a big bathouse which was made of white jade. The atmosphere of Ming Yue's courtyard is one of serenity, making it the perfect sanctuary for reflection and contemplation, there were more 4-5 rooms which were not occupied.

The courtyard had its own servant quarters at the other side of the pavillion.

Basically this was the most beautiful courtyard in the whole residence given to anyone by General Ming.

As she was thinking, a small knock on the door pulled her off the thoughts

"Young miss, the water is ready"

Ming Yue went to the bathouse ready to bath, but then she noticed that Mei was not leaving, she then remembered that maids use to help their misses to bathe, she dismissed Mei and she did not like the idea of anybody touching her.

After she was done bathing, she called Mei to bring her clothes. She wore a light pink hanfu embroidered with peony flowers with a moon white top, Mei helped her hair into a beautiful half bun and put a simple jade pin in her hair. Ming Yue wore a set of jade earrings and a jade pendant. She looked really freshned up and as it was still afternoon she decided to take a stroll.

It was early spring which meant the year was just starting that meant there was still time to change the plot and grow stronger. As she sat on the residence's garden, she was once again engulfed in her thoughts.

Now that to think of it, her father had four wives or three now, the first marriage was bestowed by the emperor, Luo Yi , the current imperial empress was a cousin of her , Luo Yi had fallen for General at the first sight so using her connections she forced General to marry her, nothing special as always. Ming Yue knew this because later on, Luo Yi played quite a role.

The second marriage was done by the General himself which was Jiang Mo lan,

her mother. Jiang Mo lan's family was a quite influential family, she belonged from a warrior's clan, but her family didn't approve of their marriage, they still did it though. Quite interesting, Ming Yue didn't know much about the supporting characters cause author never really talked about them.

The third and the fourth marriage was just for power, no not for General to gain but for the other ministers to gain. As General was quite close with emperor, they wanted to tie ties with general. The third miss was Huang Shi and the fourth miss was Ling You.

The first miss- official wife-had a daughter Lue Yi.

The late second miss- had a daughter

Ming Yue and a son Chan Hong ( he is 5 years older than Ming Yue)

The third miss- also had a daughter

Li-mei

The fourth young miss - no offspring.

After strolling for awhile, she went to her father's courtyard, JiaHao courtyard was very peaceful, a huge Buddha's sculpture was in the main hall, and several beautifully carved pillars and it was very bright, there she saw a man who looked like 50-54 age, his presence was calming and he had a mature air around him.

As he saw her , he greeted her

"Good afternoon second young miss, what brings you here?"

She politely bowed down and greeted back

"Good afternoon, I am here to see Father"

"Please stay here for a moment, I'll go inform General"

"En" she nodded.

General's attendant Feng shui could not help but notice the second young miss's behaviour.Unlike before she did not spoke timidly or blabbered, she spoke with a very steady and polite tone, also her composure was astonishingly perfect, the air around her was also very dignified, like a noble.
