Ming Lee reached pine courtyard, where he saw Lue Yi and Luo Yi happily chatting on the bed.
While Ming Yue was crying these two were happily gossiping? Ming Lee has overlooked all of the Lue Yi and Luo Yi's misdeeds and let them off everytime, but they had crossed the line this time!
Ming Lee had known for a long time that Lue Yi and Luo Yi were malicious, Lue Yi because of her mother used to act bratty and disregard her elders whereas Luo Yi used to wrongly exercise her powers and would not treat others fairly, but he had turned a blind eye to this because he was too busy but after the incident related to Ming Yue, his eyes had opened and he had decided to take this matter seriously.
Luo Yi shifted her attention towards the door to see Ming Lee standing there with a solemn expression, she stood up and lovingly looked at General Ming, her eyes held love and care for the man infront of her. After Lue Yi had born Ming Lee rarely came to her courtyard, so she was naturally very happy that her husband has come to her, she happily said
" General Ming, why are you standing there please come inside this wife's courtyard "
General Ming snapped out his thoughts and angrily stormed inside, as soon as Lue Yi saw him, she stood up and gently greeted,
"Greetings Father"
As Ming Lee saw Lue Yi, Ming Yue's pitiful face flashes before his eyes, her beautiful brown orbs drenched in tears and her red swollen cheek, he couldn't contain his anger and hardly slapped Lue Yi! The slap sounded across the room, nobody dared to make a single noise. After a while Lue Yi's started to faintly sob, later that sob turned into a high pitched cry. Luo Yi finally snapped out of her trance and went over Lue Yi to console her crying daughter, Luo Yi was scared and curious as to why was he so angry!
Ming Lee collected his anger then angrily looked at Lue Yi with disdainful eyes and snapped,
"Lue Yi! Why did you hit Yue Yue?"
Lue yi hadn't expected that girl Ming Yue would blantanly complain to father! Lue Yi put up a pitiful face and then timidly looked at Ming Lee and crying said
"Daddy, she was the one who put hot tea all over my body*sob* Ah Yi was just protecting herself*sob*!"
Min Lee naturally didn't believe her cause of course how could the shy and meak Ming Yue do this and much to his notice how could a person have their body poured in hot tea and later sir and laugh happily?!
Ming Lee was far more enraged as he thought that Lue Yi was lying right to his face, truly Luo Yi had spoiled this girl, not willing to listen anymore he loudly said
"Lue Yi, you are not allowed to leave this residence for three months and copy the Buddhist sutras for those three months!"
Lue Yi was deeply hurt and burying her head in her mother's neck, sobbing she mumbled
"Daddy is bad, he is biased towards Ming Yue..wuuu"
Ming Lee angrily snapped at the mother daughter pair and unintentionally he let some of his power loose in the room, which was nearly suffocating, as the mother daughter pair coughed and heavily breathed for air, he withdrew his power leaving them gasping for air, he coldly said
"Official wife, you have failed to raise a virtuous daughter!"
Ming Lee turned around and started walking towards the Yùlán courtyard, leaving the mother daughter pair full of contempt for Ming Yue, cause if not for her he would not have reprimanded them!!
While walking towards the Yùlán courtyard, Ming Lee's shadow guard Zhu geng came and whispered some words into his ears and dismissed.
Ming Lee went to Yùlán courtyard to find that Ming Yue was already sleeping so he returned to his study room for the night. Zhu geng had told Ming Lee that tomorrow Ming Hong (Ming Yue's older brother) would be coming back to Lee residence as he had completed his training in barracks. Earlier Ming Lee had not been able to give his children attention so their lives were rather miserable, this time he wanted to make up for all his mistakes.

While in the Yùlán courtyard, Ming Yue wasn't asleep, she was only in a thin sleeping robe as it was spring and the weather was warming up, she was beside the window and was thinking about something. Earlier when she met her father, Ming Lee had so lightly patted her hair and was so affectionate towards her that, she was so touched, tears started forming in her eyes and when she was asked to look up, she saw his worried expression and how loving and doting his eyes were. She has never felt this kind of emotion in her previous life, much less a father's love. She didn't think much about this and went to sleep, from tomorrow she'd have lots of work to do!
