Days had passed and both kingdoms were busy preparing for the war. Knights had been sent across the borders and some clashes had ensued already. But Lord Blackwood had yet to find the royal seal. Only with that could he have the guts to head out for the war. That was the other reason why he was delaying the execution of King Marcus.
"Where could he have kept it?" He gritted his teeth as he threw papers away from King Marcus' chambers. He had turned the palace upside down, raking every corner but it seemed his efforts bore no fruit.
"Search again," he ordered the already tired knights. "If you find something, inform me right away." He dashed outside the room. He had organized a meeting with the general of the royal army to see if he could agree to help.
He stormed into the throne hall and there he was, elegantly standing as his eyes pried the empty throne seat. Lord Blackwood approached him in measured steps. Seems he had not yet recognized his presence.
