"Hilda! Hilda!!"

This woman is at it again. 5am in the morning, I need my precious sleep. A beautiful girl like me needs to rest well.

"Hilda! Would you come downstairs or should I come up? "my mom shouted.

I better go downstairs before I go to school with broken bones.

I got up and walked out of bed sluggishly, yawning and stretching, itching my eyes and head, I just hated the idea of school but I've never missed a school day because of my wonderful mum, except on my sick days.

Just before I go into my life let me introduce myself and family and friends. My name is Hilda, obviously, Hilda Joseph. I'm from IMO state, Nigeria. From a family of six. My brothers Daniel, Melvin and Henry are the best except Henry always picks on me. There has never been a dull or boring moment in my family, as long as they are around everywhere is full of life.

Yes I'm the only girl, the only princess amongst princes. I believe I should be the highest of them all. Don't mind me I'm not self centered or full of myself, I'm actually very nice, calm and quiet.

Its Monday morning, I always wake up early cause my mom is a habitual early waker. I don't know how she does it but it's a very hard habit. To me sleep is most important thing ever, it enhances my beauty and it makes me more smarter, I guess.

I'm going to school, its the first day in the first term of the session. I'm now in SS2.

My school is the best, my classmates are the greatest, we're the source of the school when it comes to talent. We have instrumentalists, vocalists, dancers, actors, name it, we'll develop the talent in us. When it comes to studies we are also good, kinda.

"Submit your assignments now!"

The maths teacher said but nobody could provide their assignments.

"Sir, nobody did the assignment oh" Simi said while itching her head. We all knew what was coming, its either he flogs us, yes they flog a lot here in Nigeria. When the bible said spare the rod or spoiling the child, Nigerian parents and teachers too it personally. So it's either he flogs us or he punishes us, but this time he gave us the shock of our lives.

"Okay, but make sure you do it tomorrow" the Math teacher said. We were all stunned and went silent for a moment cause that was strange, especially for a math teacher.

My classmates are cool and funny, we are kind of populated in the school so I have about twenty seven classmates, but I don't mingle with all of them.

Simi, she's my best friend, chubby not too short, she's also smart, she loves food, you dare not touch her food or the lion in her is going to surface.

Tofunmi, another yoruba girl. Our class is populated with the yorubas, We have the "Wazobia" in our class but no other class has all the three tribes, that's why we are unique. Tofunmi is tall and slender, dark and beautiful, she talks a lot but one thing I love about her is, she's a giver, she's never stingy, even when she doesn't have. Sometimes I think she over does it, if I was her I'll give but not when I don't have.

Next up we have Henry, another talkative. They make the class lively and fun but most times they bring up arguments. Sometimes the urge to come to school is not to coke and learn but for my classmates. If I miss school, that day I've missed the hottest news and fight or our maths teacher was not present. All thanks to my mom, my wonder woman, she's always making ne go to school.

Bright and Aaron, the two best friends. Inseparable set of people, they are always together, you might even suspect they are dating, I think I caught them in the corner or something (laughs) just joking. I envy there friendship most times cause of their strong bond and benefits theybget from each other. Female friendship don't seem that strong these days.

That's all for my class mates now. You'll meet the rest on the entire journey of my life.
