Chapter 14 - She likes you.

"Well you make it seem like it's a big deal to make friends with me." she said.

"It is." I said.

" That's not true." she said.

"It's so true."I said. "And your sister is just like that too." I said.

"Oh, really now." she said and chuckled.

" Yes. When I was asking about you from her, it was like I was wooing her."I said and she laughed.

"She's just like that." she said.

" It's really nice that you two are able to stand up for yourselves."I said.

"Yeah, where I come from, if you don't stand up for yourself you'll be trampled on."she said.

"Really? Where you came from? Where do you come from?"I asked and she smiled sadly.

"I don't want to talk about it."she said.

"Ok, I guess it makes you sad, so don't talk about it." I said.

"How about you?" he asked.

"Well, I'm an only child of my parents. But they don't live with me. They work overseas." I said.

"So you live alone?"she asked.

"Pretty much, except for the house helps. Although, my parents comes to visit me once in a while."I said

"I'm guessing you love them so much." she said.

" Yeah I do. Even if they are not here, I had never lacked anything in my life. I get whatever I want." I said.

"That's why you became a jerk." she said.

"Are you still calling me that? I thought we're friends already." I said and she giggled.

"I'm sorry, I'm just used to calling you a jerk." she said and moved close to me.

"That hurts." I said and frowned a little.

"Alright, I'm sorry. I promise I won't call you that again." she said and I smiled.

"Thank you."I said.

" You know, instead of making everyone scared of you, you could just be nice."she said.

"Nice?" I asked. What was she talking about?

"Yes, not being superior over everyone. You'll enjoy life more that way." she said.

"My friends are not use to being nice, well except Brian."I said.

"I was talking about you, not your friends. Do you always care what they think of you?" she asked.

"No i don't. I do whatever I want whether they like it or not. It's more like, they care what I think of them." I said.

"Weird."she said and dropped the chocolate chip wrapper. " Do you have more?"she asked and I smiled.

"It's like you are loving it more than I do." I said and she chuckled.

"You introduced me to it, so you've got to keep it coming. Besides, I didn't see it on sale at the cafeteria." she said.

" I didn't get it there. I have a whole lot of them at home." I said and she nodded. "I think we should go now." I said.

" Yes, this is so not me. You know, missing class and all that." she said.

"I understand. Thanks for keeping me company." I said.

"It's no big deal. I enjoyed talking with you. Who knew you would be a great company."she asked and I laughed. We both stood up.

"Well no one knows, that's because my friends aren't interested in these talks." I said and we started walking downstairs.

" So what do you guys talk about?" she asked.

"How to get revenge on someone, dirty talks, you know." I said.

"What a gang." she said.

" Yeah like, we are talking about a girl and the next thing you will hear is how great she would be in bed or how sexy she is." I said and she shrugged.

"And you are the leader, right?" she asked.

" Yeah, it's what they want and like, but it doesn't mean I've done it before."I lied.

"Sounds hard to believe." She said.

"But it's the truth." I said.

"So you mean violet isn't your girlfriend?" she asked.

"No she's not." I said.

"Then she likes you enough to tell me to stay away from you." she said.

"No, she likes me only as a friend and nothing more. We've been best friends for a long time." I said.

"I doubt that. She likes you more than just a friend." she said and I thought of it. "No, no, no she can't have that kind of feeling for me. We are besties." I said.

"And who are you to tell her what feeling to have?" she asked.

"Listen Kyla, you've got it all wrong. Maybe because she told you to stay away from me but the truth is that, she thinks we are still in the game of dealing with you. Those words were just mere threats to scare you." I said and she stopped walking and looked at me.

"JeREMY, I'm a girl. I know these things. It's hardly possible for two opposite sex to be besties without having special feelings for each other." she said.

"But I don't have a special feeling for her, it's just a platonic friendship feeling." I said.

"Well she might have special feelings for you." she said. We started walking.

"Come on, it's not possible."I argued.

"Alright forget it." She said. We both walked to the classroom. All eyes were on us. There was no teacher was in the class. I walked to my seat.

"J where have you been?" Violent asked.

"Somewhere." I said.

"With her?" Crystal asked referring to Kyla.

"Yes guys, she's my friend now." I said.

"Whoa, congrats J." Mitch said and shook hands with me, so did Brian.

"Friends?" Crystal and Violet asked. Girls.

"Yes, the game is off. She's now my friend."I said.

"You girls should just get it get over it." Brian said.

"Yeah, it's no big deal." Mitch said.

"Yeah, it's a big deal."Violet said and angrily faced forward. That was weird.

KYLA'S P.O.V

Mum came to pick us up from school.

"Mum, Kyla's talking to Jeremy now."Daisy said and I rolled my eyes.

"Really?" Mum asked.

"Yes Mum, he's my friend now. And that is what I keep telling miss parrot here." I said and stuck out my tongue at Daisy.

"Is that a good idea? Isn't he the one who hurt you? Mum asked.

"Well, he apologized. He's a nice guy. I think." I said.

"It's good to forgive and forget but he shouldn't take advantage of you." mum said.

"He won't." I said. I don't know why I was developing this feeling of trust for him.

"Really? Are you sure you two are just friends?" mum asked wiggling her eyebrows and she winked at me.

"Kyla and Jeremy sitting on a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g."Daisy sang and Mum laughed.

"Really? Shut it Daisy. Mum we are just friends ok?" I said.

"Hmm-hmn." mum said.

"Mum."I called unbelievably.
