"Could you explain to me what we're exactly looking for? We've been searching for an unknown face girl for two days. How could we find her, even without her name?" Bo-ra argued with Lee.
"I am acting in defiance of my authority. Don't ask me any question. Why should I disclose all the information to media people? You're seeking for a great cover story for your organization, right? So look no further. Just follow my orders."
"Sit down, Bo-ra," Han-na says as he pull down her hand.
"As a Foreign Bureau in State, I investigated if the Mafia group had spread to other states. According to the informant, in 2017, everyone departed the country after the explosion. However, I haven't heard anything about them in the last five years. But, I recently caught some unidentifiable members attempting to enter the States with a forged passport."
"They said the Mafia was still in the country, had never left. They also claimed to have seen one of the enormous head, a man in his fifties, near Jungnim Street. They noticed that the man was waiting to meet a girl. After 5 years now only I've seen a small flame. Want to capture it before it gets to wild fire again," he said furiously.
Following her suspension, Aera prepares to return to class. "Wait, I'll come with you," said Jimin.
"Where? College…? It's okay, I'll go by myself."
"I have some work near your college."
Then both boarded the bus and Jimin asked, "Did you love anyone?"
"What did you say? Lo... Love," she got embarrassed and turned her face away.
"Why didn't you answer my question? Is it hard to answer? Did you love some…?"
Aera closing his mouth with her palm, "Why are you asking this question on the bus? It is too embarrassing."
"Why embracement? Have you had a lot of dates with men?"
Aera chuckled, "I've never dated a guy in my life. I was focused on my academics. After that I went on a couple of Jenny's suggested blind dates. But none of them worked out. Then I made the decision to let things happen on its own."
"I, too, never dated."
Aera eagerly asked, "Why?"
"I've been swamped with my work. I've always been surrounded by large numbers of men. Never got a chance to see a women."
Aera mocked him, "Never got a chance to see a women?" "This is my stop. Bye."
He said goodbye with a wave of his hand.
As she walked onto campus, Eugene was the first person she saw. She addressed her by name, but she averted her gaze.
Jenny is doing yoga and her gaze is wandering. After that, she exited the room. She exhaled, "This is annoying. My head is going to blow up," as she said she heard some noises. She moved forward to other rooms. There were some people learning Martial Arts, Jenny's eyes dilated.
She approached them and asked the master, "Can I join you?"
Aera cheerfully sets up her desk and goes to collect her jacket. She got an unknown message, "Whose number is this? It seems to be a new number." As she said she read the message, "Someone in the College Terrace is trying to commit suicide."
"What? Suicide. Aish…" She rushed toward the terrace.
She wandered around the terrace, "Where is he?" no one was there. She looked around and noticed that there was a patio nearby her. But there were no stairs up there, so she looked around and found a ladder.
"I am already an acrophobia, why things like things happening to me?" With the use of ladder she reached the top.
"No one's there." Oh my god, what's this?" She exclaimed as she heard the sound of ladder falling from the wall, "How I'm going to get off this Terrace?"
She took a step toward the edge of the patio and looked down; she looked terrified, and everything became hazy. She took a step back and tried to yell, but she couldn't. She couldn't even able to breathe and had palpitations, then she collapsed.
In the evening, Jimin finished his part-time job and called Aera. Aera's phone ringing at her cabin.
Jimin entered Jenny's restaurant with sweat dripping down his face and clothing. He had such a miserable expression on his face. Jenny noticed him and asked, "Wha… What happened? Is Aera still not at home?"
He responded yes with a shake of his head. She dialed Shin's number to check Aera.
Shin, on the other end of call, "No. She's not here with me. Wait a minute. I'll check into her cabin."
"I'm still not getting anything suspicious. The least number of males in their fifties live on Jungnim Street," Bo-ra said as she working.
Han-na said, "As Mr. Lee said, that 50 year old men was waiting to meet a girl. If it doesn't catch our attention. May be he's from somewhere else. Perhaps, he came to the street in order to see that girl." as he said Bo-ra phone rings.
"Jenny, now I'm at work. What? Aera! I'll be there." She says as she quickly takes her jacket, "Bye, urgent work has come."
"What happened?" Han-na was concerned when he noticed her face. "Wait, I'll give you a ride."
Aera was seated on the bench besides Shin, when Jenny and Jimin entered the campus. They were spotted by her. Then Bo-ra rushed towards them, gasping heavily.
Aera instantly wiped away her tears and smiled brightly. "What brought you all here? I've just slept off at my desk. Nothing much happened."
Jenny asked Shin, "Hey, you tell me what's going on here. Is she really slept in his cabin?"
Shin replied, "I, too, don't know. But I came here when you called. When I arrived, she was coming down from the stairs…"
Aera stopped him, "Stop. I was exhausted. So I went to the infirmary and slept for a while. Let's go to the house. It's getting late. I'll go, get my bag and cellphone from my cabin." As she said she turned around and walked away.
"Bo-ra, wait. I'll go with her," said Jenny.
"You two take this cab. Bo-ra and I will take the next cab." Aera and Jimin left.
"Come, let's go to Eugene's place."
Bo-ra stops Jenny, "Are you out of your mind? Right now."
"Do you think Aera was just sleeping in the infirmary? You believe her words. But I won't. When I looked at her eyes, it seemed to be terrified of something. Just go, I'll go by my own."
"Just be calm. I despise Eugene as well. But this isn't the right time to go to her house."
Jenny yelled, "Why have you always stopped me since we were in Middle School? She is the one who always causes Aera to be troubled. Why are you always stopping me instead of her? Why?" as she said, Jenny walked away.
"Jenny, wait…" Bo-ra puts her hand on head.
Aera looks at her hand, Jimin clutching her hand tightly. He seems to be frustrated, he's looking out the windows. She remembered, when she went to take her stuff to the cabin. Jenny asked her, "Are you really okay?"
"Hey, Look at me. I'm okay."
"Aera, this is about Jimin. When he came to me, he seemed very frustrated; he gasped heavily and his hands shook violently. I was too scared when I saw him. He wasn't able to speak either. I'm sure you look after yourself like always. Just take care of him too."
Jimin sat strangely on the living room floor. Aera washed her face and spoke to herself, "It's okay. I am alright." Her eyes welled up with tears, but she held them back and came out of the bathroom.
"Jimin, I am hungry, make something for me." She urged, but he didn't seem to hear her. "Hey, Why are sitting like this? I am scared."
She sat next to him and pat his shoulder, "Ahh, Jenny always said some unwanted things. Don't consider any of what she said today. I just…"
"Liar," said Jimin.
Aera noticed his eyes filled with tears. She crept in and sat infront of him, hugged him.
He cried as she lovingly patted his shoulder and he held her back. "Sorry, for keeping you waiting a long time. I'll never do that." as she said, her eyes welled up with tears, but she again hold them back. He sobbed loudly as he hugged her.
The next day, while Jimin was preparing breakfast, Aera approached him. He didn't see her face when she looked at him. "Is breakfast ready?" Aera asked. However, he did not respond to her.
She pondered, "Why didn't he answer me? He doesn't even gives me a look. Maybe he's upset with me." She rubbed her back head.
Aera heard a calling bell ring, "Who came in this early morning?" As she said she opened the door.
"Ta-DA," with a big smile on their faces, Bo-ra and Jenny are standing outside.
Aera exhaled, "What are you two doing here?"
"Is she asking about us?" Jenny is confusingly looking at Bo-ra.
Jenny said with a giggle, "No, it's not us." She looking at behind her, but there was no one there.
"No, I'm mentioning you two. What are you doing here?" Aera said angrily.
Jenny said, "Hey, Stupid. Move ahead, we're not here to see you. We are here to see Jimin. Jimin, Jimin…" as she said she approached him. "Get ready."
"What? Where?"
"We are heading to Everland theme park; we've already purchased our tickets too. Hurry up," Jenny urged him.
Aera yelled, "Hey, Jenny. I have a class to attend. We are not coming. Just leave."
Jenny laughed, "Aigoo. Don't worry. I am not inviting you to join me. I came here for Jimin, and we all are going to amusement together. You just go to college."
Aera gets irritated, but says calmly, "Ahh, I forgot to tell you that today's not having an important class. I am free. Wait, I'll come with you?"
All went to Evergreen theme park. Bo-ra gets a call; on the other end of the line, "What are you up to? Hurry up. We have a lot of work. We still haven't found anything."
Bo-ra replied, "I, too, know. But I haven't had a day off for a long time. So today I am not working. Bye."
Han-na, "Hey, come here. Don't hang up." She hang up the phone while he is speaking on the line. "Why did Head Chang pair me up with her? Aish…"
"Wait for me. I will come with you," Bo-ra ran towards Jenny and Aera.
They're riding on a Carousel. Aera and Jimin are riding solely, she staring at Jimin sadly. On the other hand, Jenny and Bo-ra enjoying on the ride.
They visited Cotton Candy and the Haunted House. Then Aera sits alone on the bench while Jimin, Bo-ra, and Jenny ride the Columbus Adventure, saying, "I, too, want to ride these Adventure rides, but I'm afraid of heights," as she eats fish cakes.
At night, "Ahh… I failed again," Bo-ra grumbled while Jenny laughed at her.
"Hey, this is a piece of cake. Give it to me. I'll shoot all the balloons down." As Jenny said, she was aiming the balloon.
Bo-ra chuckled at Jenny, "Hey, this is just a toy gun. You are gripping the gun like Mafia's gun. Next Jimin." Bo-ra handed over the gun to Jimin.
"No, I'm not good at these things." Jimin expressed his thoughts.
"We didn't know how to shoot either. Just give a try."
Aera is causally standing with her hands crossed and glancing at other the side. Jimin picked up the gun hesitantly and began shooting. Bo-ra and Jenny were shocked, "Wow, how did he shoot all the balloons without missing a single shot?"
Aera turning slowly, and gazed at the balloon board. All the balloons have popped. She shockingly looked at Jimin, "What is this? Is he really the one who fired down all the balloons?"
Jimin receives a large Couple Teddy which is holding hands. Jenny approached Aera with a broad smile, "Couple Teddy that is for you."
She yelled out loudly, "Hey, Stupid. Are you insane? He doesn't even talk to me. Why would he give it to me? Aish… You're all irritating me." As she said she left the place. Jimin smiled at her as she walked away.
"What's going on with her? Why is she so enraged with me?" Jenny confusedly looked at Bo-ra.
"It's okay. It's getting late. We should go home. Bye Jimin take care." said Bo-ra.
Aera was sleeping soundly while Jimin sat next to her. With a smile on his face, he looks at her. And he placed the Teddy on the Living room's wall shelves.
Lee went to Police Headquarters, "Come Mr. Lee. I had been expecting you for a few days. How are you getting along?"
"Fine."
"What about your wife and your son?"
"My son's studies have not been completed yet. So they'll be here soon once he's finished."
"Ok, ok. How are the things going on regarding Mafia? Is there any news?"
Lee begins hesitantly, "Senior, it's still in the process. We still haven't got any information. I was just starting out on this operation with a mere few thug's statements, I don't know where to begin. But I am sure I'll find a way out."
"All right, I believe you. Just get it done quickly. We don't have much time. What are your opinions on this situation?"
Lee was staring at him with a blank expression on his face.
"No. Why has Anderson finally appeared after 5 years? What has he been up to for the past 5 years? Do you have any ideas?"
Lee gave some thought, "Well, I had been looking for it for years. There is no possibility that he would have travelled to other States. Maybe he was hidden underground or he's been hospitalized."
"What?"
Lee said with a smile, "This is simply an assumption. Because he is not the type to stand idle for five years. There was a lot of talk about Anderson, and I think you heard about it too. One of the rumors is that he was gravely hurt by the bomb blast and went into a coma."
"Yes, I heard about it too. Okay, look at this case deeply." He called someone through the phone, "come inside."
"This is Jeong and Park from the Crime Division. They are extremely sharp and have excellent combat abilities. They'll both be working for you from now on."
"No. It's okay. I will take care on my own." Said Lee.
"No. I won't let you do this alone. Because this is a top-secret activity, I can't support anything else. No one in the department is aware of this. So take the two of them with you."
"Yes Senior Park."
