After sorting out their feelings and spending some quiet time on the beach, Ginny decided it was best for them to head back to their respective rooms before they risked getting into trouble.
To her surprise, she learned that she and Persephone were sharing a room. The thought made her chest flutter unexpectedly, thinking that they could spend more time with each other.
They'd already defined where they stood in their relationship, but everything still felt so new to Ginny. It didn't help that Persephone seemed reluctant to let go of her, clinging to her side as they walked.
Not that Ginny minded. In fact, she liked the way Persephone leaned into her, their bodies brushing with every step.
Hand in hand, they strolled back toward the beach houses, soft laughter and shy stolen glances weaving between them. The air was warm and calm, the night filled with the sound of the waves. Then, abruptly, Persephone stopped.
