Chapter 1 - COLLISION

Tenayo high school, a school so discipline, it became known as the torture zone. The voice of teachers sounded in every class, teaching students who wanted nothing but to hear the bell ring. In my class, 3F, I sat watching my math teacher, Mr. Toriyama, teaching the Cramer's rule. I stared at my watch, it was 8:55am.

"The bell should go any second now." I thought.

A few seconds later the bell was rang and the faces of most students brightened up. Teachers brought their lessons to an end and one by one, students rushed to the cafeteria. It was 5 minutes since the bell went and our math teacher showed no sign of ending the lesson. Our faces darkened and we began to grumble. We repeatedly signaled our class prefect to inform the teacher that his lesson was over. Kageyama, our class prefect smiled and tried to shirk the task to Shikezawa, his assistant.

"Cowards!!!!!"

I yelled in my mind.

After being glared at for about 6 minutes, Mr. Toriyama finally brought the lesson to an end.

"Some of you started grumbling because the bell was rang but if in your final year you still can't tell what's best for you I don't know where you'll end in the real world." He said while repeatedly raising and dropping his shoulders. I was sure he expected sentimental and remorseful looks on our faces but contrary to that, everyone started dashing out the moment he bent to sign in the class attendance book. Rushing out just like everyone else, Shinegaki, Mirasu and I met up at a passage way between 3E and 3F

"Shinegaki,... Mirasu sup!!" I asked through heavy breaths.

Suppressing the urge to laugh, I kept taking in deep breaths till I was able to talk freely. Turning toward Shinegaki, I asked.

"Were you running at Mach 50 or did you use teleportation like Mirasu.Cause you guys moved so fast I could barely tell if you were human."

Bursting into laughter, Shinegaki and Mirasu joined in the laughter as we walked slowly to the cafeteria.

"Quiet! Those talking, you stop, those standing, you sit!"

The student council president commanded.

"The student council president sure acts like a villain, don't you think?" I asked Shinegaki and Mirasu.

"Yeah you are right." Mirasu responded

"Yo guys, is it me or is that a shooting star." Shinegaki asked pointing toward the sky.

"I think it's a comet but it burn out before it gets close to us." I answered staring up the sky.

After chatting a while, I saw something shining in the rear of my eye, it was the comet. By this time, everyone had noticed it and began to run out of the cafeteria. Moving with the flow, I run out as well and bumped into my best friend, Kageyama.

"Kageyama!" I called out.

"Is it the end of the world?!" I asked.

"Shut up and run!!" He yelled back, increasing his speed and leaving behind a dust trail. The heat from the comet made my back feel like it was being barbecued for a party. I thought I was the last person till I heard the hurried smashing of feet against ground. Turning around, I saw Shinegaki and Mirasu running like fowls that were next on the butcher's list. Facing forward, I realized an anomaly, I had been running for over 5 minutes but it seemed like I hadn't moved an inch. Even Kageyama that left behind a dus trail was just an arm's length away. I took a look at the comet and it was upon us, realizing it was futile to keep running, I braced myself for death and said my last prayers. The comet strike was relentless, it knocked me right into a light pole and I fell to the ground in a heavy thud. Blood trickled down my face and the world began to spin around me, my vision started to go dark. I was losing consciousness. Debris, debris and more debris was all I saw, everything started blurring out. The light pole supporting my back fell to the ground. Torn wires flew around dangerously but there was nothing to injure. Losing the support I had from the pole, I fell to the side losing consciousness completely.
