Light! I felt the gentle warm touch of the rising sun caress my smooth jade-like skin. With a little difficulty, my eyelids parted revealing an eyeball with extremely dilated pupils. Everything was a blur but slowly became clearer. For some reason I felt an inexplicable calm in myself it was like I was in the afterlife. I lay back flat on the ground staring at the clear blue sky. If a stranger looked at me from a distance I would like an art piece in a masterpiece. The picturesque feeling it gave off was a direct contrast to the desolated setting it was placed. My expression tensed up for a few minutes before slowly returning to one of extreme tranquility. I had just remembered everything that had happened to me but for some reason, I felt like something of the distant past that had no effect on my present life. After an unknown period, I got on my feet and looked around I saw broken trees and destroyed buildings, bodies littered the ground like withered leaves some looked like they still had life while others had part of their bodies completely destroyed. I felt indifferent as I saw these bodies scattered all around. I felt immense fear as to why I felt indifferent but I couldn't do a thing about it. Slowly I approached what should have been the epicenter of the crash but as I drew nearer I realized the large chunk of rock had somehow reduced to the size of a bowling ball. This small chunk of rock emanated scalding heat that seemed to scorch me, but amidst this heat, it felt like a tonic nourishing me. Staring down at my upper body I realized that my body had undergone subtle changes. Although I couldn't have been said to be in bad shape before the collision, the present me had well-toned muscles and abs. It wasn't too exaggerated but it gave off the feeling of strong vitality. Stretching out my hand to grab the space rock, the heat kept rising till it felt like it was seering my hand. Gritting through the pain, I grabbed the space rock and immediately froze. It felt like I was holding an ice needle that had been frozen over. If someone were staring at me they would realize that I had become shrouded in a mist. A felt my brain jolt and I appeared in a wasteland. The scene of the wasteland was similar to the one I saw when I gained consciousness. The only difference was that the beings I saw had golden blood flowing from their wounds. I heard a scream and looking up ahead I saw a woman in the air she looked like she had been hit with a powerful attack. The lingering flames made it look like she was a fallen star. Up until now, I seemed like a complete spectator to the happenings in this world but at this moment the man who launched the attack looked at me with bloodthirsty eyes. Before I could react, I saw a blood-red skull flying at me at an astounding speed. I knew I couldn't dodge it so I resigned myself to death as I shut my eyes waiting for death. The pain never came, I opened my eyes to see the female previously hit with the fireball in front of me with a glaring wound on her shoulder. She looked me in the eye and spoke in a language I have never heard but somehow still understood. She said,
"Beware of the fallen star." After which she dissipated into energy drops that flowed into me. The bloodthirsty male looked incensed that his attack didn't hit his target and rushed forward to finish the job but at this moment, there was a peng sound that jolted me back to reality. Unable to maintain balance, my knees caved in as I sat with a soft thud. I was completely covered in sweat and the only question on my mind was, ..
"What did I just witness."
