Chapter 13 - Adventurer's Guild

Lind suppressed the anger in his heart.

Actually, thinking about it carefully, this was not a bad thing.

The fact that he was drawn so ugly meant that Vander didn't see his face clearly in the dark and windy night. If he really saw what he looked like, it would be a bad thing for Lind.

At least, he didn't have to worry about being exposed.

Soon, the long line at the front desk of the Adventurer's Guild was almost gone. Finally, it was Lind's turn.

"Hello, how may I help you?" The person in charge of receiving Lind was a female orc. She had a pair of fox ears and looked very soft and cute.

"I want to register with the Adventurer's Guild," Lind stated his intentions.

"Alright, may I ask what your class is so that we can better assign tasks to you?" the orc girl asked politely.

"I'm a mage," Lind said.

As soon as he finished speaking, he attracted the attention of a few people around him.

"An Alchemy Mage?" The orc girl continued to ask.

"No, I'm a Spellcasting Mage!" Lind stretched out a finger and chanted a string of strange syllables.

Then, a fireball appeared in his hand.

Then, with a flick of his finger, the fireball flew towards a target placed in the corner of the Adventurer's Guild.

With an explosion, the target was blown to pieces by Lind's fireball.

The corners of the orc girl's mouth twitched a few times. She said to Lind awkwardly, "I'm sorry, but that's an ornament. You need to compensate if you damage it."

"I know," Lind said as he took out a gold coin from his pocket and pushed it in front of the orc girl. "Keep the change!"

As a vampire prince, he had a lot of such gold coins in his territory.

This extravagant scene made the eyelids of the surrounding onlookers twitch fiercely.

As expected of a mage. He was really too rich.

After Lind showed his strength and wealth, the orc girl in charge of his registration became much more enthusiastic.

As he filled out his identity form, Lind paused slightly in the name column, then wrote "Ander."

"Now I'm Ander the Mage."

Lind muttered a few words to himself and memorized his identity.

The orc girl handed an Adventurer's Guild badge to Lind.

"Hello, Mr. Ander. You have successfully registered as an Adventurer's Guild member. Your current level is Iron, and you can accept Iron level missions."

The levels of the Adventurer's Guild were Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Steel, Mystic Gold, and Sacred Silver.

The demon hunter, Vander, who had chased after Lind was a Sacred Silver adventurer.

Ordinary adventurers were not qualified to become demon hunters. They had to at least reach the Steel level before they had the chance to come into contact with missions related to demon hunters.

Therefore, demon hunters also referred to adventurers above the Steel level.

Lind had just registered as an adventurer, so his level was still at the lowest Dark Iron level.

However, the move he had just displayed quickly attracted the attention of the other adventurer teams.

"Greetings, respected Mage Ander. I'm the leader of Thunderbolt Adventurer Group, Lamu. I wonder if you're interested in joining our team. Our team lacks a powerful Mage."

As everyone knew, due to their outstanding magic talent, Spellcasting Mages were generally much stronger than Alchemy Mages.

If a Spellcasting Mage could be taken under his wing, it would be a great supplement to the adventurer team.

Lamu wasn't the only one interested in Lind. Another adventurer team also had their eyes on Lind.

"I am Constantine, the commander of the Sacred Silver Knights. I sincerely invite Mr. Ander to join our adventurer team."

Sacred Silver was the highest level for adventurers. To be able to use Sacred Silver as the name of the team, it was obvious that this team was quite powerful.

Lind looked up and saw that the members of the team were wearing the same standard armor. The leaders were all wearing Mystic Gold badges. Constantine, who had invited him, had a Sacred Silver badge on his chest. Even his subordinates had Steel badges.

With just a glance, Lind could tell that this was a rather powerful adventurer team.

It was much stronger than the Thunderbolt team that had invited Lind.

But Lind still tactfully refused Constantine's invitation.

"I'm sorry. I'm used to being alone. I have no intention of joining an adventurer team."

Constantine didn't insist.

Whether or not to join was Lind's decision. There was no need to become enemies with a Spellcasting Mage over such a small matter.

Everyone in Bayes Continent knew how terrifying a Spellcasting Mage was when he grew up.

They were different from the low-level Alchemy Mages who could only use magic tools. A God-level Spellcasting Mage had terrifying power on the battlefield. Their Forbidden Spell could kill hundreds of thousands of soldiers.

Of course, in the entire Bayesian Continent, only the few mages in the mage tower could reach the level of a Mage God.

However, it did not hinder the Spellcasting Mages' prestigious status in this world.

Seeing that Constantine of the Sacred Silver Knights had been rejected, the other small mercenary groups restrained their restless hearts.

Even Constantine hadn't gotten him, so there was no need for them to look for Lind.

Lind walked leisurely to the mission board.

The main reason why he wanted to join the Adventurer's Guild was because he needed information.

The Adventurer's Guild would provide information services to high-level adventurers.

As long as he paid, he could obtain the information he wanted through the spies that the Adventurer's Guild had spread throughout the Bayes Continent.

However, the prerequisite was that one had to have a sufficiently high level in the guild.

With Lind's current Iron level, he naturally wouldn't be able to come into contact with this service for core members.

Just as Lind was about to accept a few missions to increase his level, a figure wrapped in a black robe quietly approached Lind.

"Mr. Mage, or I can call you Mr. Ander," the shadow said. It was actually a woman's voice.

Lind frowned and asked, "May I ask what's the matter?"

The woman in the black robe took out a badge, and a bright silver light shone in front of Lind.

This woman was actually a Sacred Silver adventurer.

"I just heard you say that you're a lone wolf. Coincidentally, I'm also a lone wolf. I happen to have a mission on hand that I can't do alone. I want to invite you to do it with me. How about that? Of course, we'll split the reward fifty-fifty," the woman said as she looked in the direction where Lind was covered by his cloak, as if she was observing his expression through the black veil.
