CHAPTER 1: it's time.
While she looked out her window, rain drizzled against, lifted up her hands just to touch the cold glass it was already ten in the morning, it was her wedding day, why wasn't she happy, she had dreamt of this day through out her whole life, suddenly she heard a knock against her wooden door
" it's time Melody" said her dearest father
"yes father" she replied taking a look one more time at the mirror staring at the reflection of the beautiful girl dressed in the beautiful wedding dress one more time, took her father's hand as he walked her down the stairs, taking deep breaths her mind wandered back before all this started
It was Melody's final year in the university, Melody Sanchez, she was bright student with good looks too,, beauty and brains as they said, she had black long hair which looked like ocean waves against her back, striking blue big eyes, oval shaped face, long lashes, small but yet plump lips and when she smiled her little dimple by the side of her cheeks seemed to articulate her beautiful face, she was the pride of her department, business administration, although it wasn't the course study she wanted being the only child of her father who took education seriously her father wanted her to take part of the family's company although she had two other sisters who did nothing but show off the family's wealth, always shopping or doing something that wasted money.
The elder sister Jasmine and the younger one Sofia were nothing but total embarrassments to the family name as her dad would always say, although Melody shared the same father with them they had different mother's, Jasmine and Sofia both having the same mother "Lucia" who was from a well to do family while Melody mother "Catherine" was simply a mistress as they said who came into Fred Sanchez's life to ruin his marriage but nobody knew she was just a naive girl who Fred deceived and had an affair with when he was away on a business trip, Melody was the product of the affair although Catherine never wanted Fred to know about Melody's existence she had to let her meet her father because she had a rough child birth and knew she wouldn't live long.
Right from the moment when Melody stepped foot into the Sanchez villa at the age of three she never had a peaceful life, she cleaned around the house, weeded out the garden, washed the dishes and did the laundry she was no different from a regular house maid just that she wasn't paid, she never ate with her supposed 'family' and slept at the maids quarters, although Fred provided her with education he only wanted her to work for his wife and daughters since they practically didn't want anything to do with the companies work as they only wanted to spend lavishly on themselves, now the family is going bankrupt and of course they just had to ruin Melody's life by getting her married to God knows whom like the was her fault they where bankrupt. She only knew she was getting married to a ruthless and ugly second son of the prestigious Michaelson family. Alexander Michaelson, the prodigal son who everyone feared and had not even an ounce of respect for anything so that he could bring their company back to its former glory as they shared family ties now. It was more of a marriage of convenience.
She had received a call from her dearest father in school telling her to come home early for dinner and of course it sounded suspicious, when she strode out of the lecture hall with her best friend Brittany, she was greeted with the sight of her father's bodyguards outside waiting but for whom exactly.
For a family going bankrupt they sure did show off she thought, she was still in her world when a bulky looking man approached her and her only friend.
" young miss, sir sent us to pick you up from school and bring you back"
" I know the way back home thank you" she said.
" sir said that if you don't comply we would be forced to bring you back"
" this way" he gestured.
