Chapter 9 - The Revelation(1)

As the sun began to rise over the horizon, Graham and his group continued their journey towards the city of Baradath. The path had become treacherous, with steep cliffs and jagged rocks threatening to trip them up at every turn. But Graham was determined to reach his destination, no matter the cost.

They had been walking for hours, their spirits low and their bodies tired, when they finally caught sight of the city in the distance. It was a sight to behold, with tall spires reaching up towards the sky and the bustling sounds of the city reaching their ears even from this far away.

As they made their way towards the gates of the city, Graham couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. Something wasn't right. The guards at the gates seemed tense and on edge, their hands hovering over their weapons. When they saw Graham and his group approaching, they immediately drew their swords and blocked their path.

"Who goes there?" one of the guards demanded.

"It's just us," Graham said, holding up his hands in a gesture of peace. "We're here to see the King."

The guard eyed them suspiciously. "What business do you have with the King?"

"We have urgent news to deliver," Graham said. "It concerns the safety of the kingdom."

The guard hesitated for a moment, but then nodded. "Very well. Follow me."

Graham and his group followed the guard through the gates and into the heart of the city. The streets were crowded with people, merchants selling their wares and performers entertaining the crowds. But despite the festive atmosphere, Graham could sense a growing tension in the air. The people were worried, their faces lined with fear and uncertainty.

As they approached the palace, Graham could see that the guards were even more heavily armed than those at the gates. It was clear that something serious was going on, and that they were taking no chances.

They were escorted into the throne room, where the King sat on his throne, his face lined with worry. "What news do you bring, Graham?" he asked.

Graham stepped forward, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew that what he was about to say would change everything. "Your Majesty," he began. "I bring grave news. The Dark Lord has returned."
