"Huh? So quick, I thought it would have taken longer for her to catch up to us." Rylex muttered to herself, she frowned deeply in thought without making a move. Her hands stilled relaxed on the steering wheel.
Tsk, so annoying. I'll need to send something to make contact with her before she does something stupid.
After a while, Rylex free one hand from the steering and used that hand to draw a few runes as she drove forward. Each rune aligned together to form a small runic array - one for summoning short term clones.
What does she mean by short term? The clones would literally fade away after finishing the mission handed over to them, unless Rylex wanted to keep it out of interest or some other reason.
Closing her eyes, she let out a soft voice and rested her left hand back on the the steering wheel. All these were common tricks even a newbie can utilize, it was nothing special amongst a gathering of gods.
After a while, Rylex opened her eyes and began to rise up from the seat. The scene suddenly turned strange the moment she stood up, because at that moment Rylex's clone was finally revealed and the manner she separated from her clone was stunning.
Like a sceptre, Rylex seemed to be rising up from her own clone! Her clone was left in the same position as she was earlier, but she was the only one in motion.
After a while, Rylex floated out of her own clone like a ghost and slowly began to float up slowly, floating through the roof of the car in a few seconds.
As soon as she floated out of the vehicle, she glanced around carefully before closing her eyes and letting out a soft sigh. In the next moment, her body faded away in tiny fragments of light, a very strange scene.
——
Rylex opened her eyes once more, finding herself in a room with dozens of boys and girls sat down in place with their eyes closed and the watch worn on their hands. Her gaze wandered over to Jack, and she smiled.
"The bitch must have arrived here if I'm not wrong, she definitely needs to be dealt with at all costs!" Her gaze wandered to the door, and without hesitation she began to float towards it with her hands behind her back.
As soon as she floated through the door, Rylex turned to the side and began to float in that direction with her brows raised and lips curved up into a slight, and cold smile. Her gaze wandering around the corridors.
"Tsk, stupid little girl. If you make me waste my time looking for you, just be sure that I won't let you go without a good spanking!" Rylex muttered to herself as she floated around, her gaze peering through the walls and doors to see into the empty rooms.
"Hmph! Don't say I didn't warn you!" Her eyes were narrowed as she spoke, seemingly not expending any effort into the search. After floated around for a while without getting a response, Rylex rolled her eyes and dashed forward with a cold smirk on her face.
Her speed was not something one could follow with their sight even if she was slowed down by over 99%!
Before her target could even understand what was going on, the poor dragon in human form was briskly picked up and rose up with her neck gripped tightly by Rylex. The silver skinned dragon growled as she squirmed in Rylex's chokehold.
"Hmph! Naive of you to think you can hide from me with such petty strength of yours!" Rylex mocked as she cast the poor little dragon girl to the side, her expression still as cold as the surface of a stone.
"Ahem— cough cough!" The dragon girl choked on her saliva the moment she tried to speak, her head bowed to the ground as she balled her fists tightly.
"Syx? How long do we have till he gets here to annoy me, all thanks to your brilliance?" Rylex raised a brow and asked in a soft voice, her gaze fixed on the coughing dragon girl beneath her.
"Cough! You— cough!" Syx coughed fiercely as she raised her head slowly, all to glare at Rylex with a burning hatred in her gaze. Her lips curved down into a dark and deep frown, her dissatisfaction was visible on her face - her twisted expression spoke volumes.
Rylex frowned deeply after a while, lifting her hands with a sadistic smirk on her face,
"Hehe, you want a few more hits to clear your throat? Don't worry, it will just hurt slightly more than me smashing down a mountain of diamonds upon you."
Syx coughed violently for a few more seconds before calming down, her heart beating out of her cheat. Her brows furrowed and a deep frown drawn on her face.
"You old hag! Useless, good for nothing, dumb! Argh, didn't you see I was trying to practice my stealth skills to see how best I could hide away from that perverted god once he arrives?" Syx, the dragon girl who had walked through the gates earlier spoke in a ragged voice with her eyes watering up with tears.
"Stop acting like a fool and speak! Is the death god close by or not? And do you know where he is at the moment?" Rylex spoke in a loud voice, her brows furrowed tightly. She knew that no one could here her now, and so she didn't keep her voice low.
"Tsk, he chased me around this reality for a few hundred years before finally giving up and retreating to his home." Syx spoke with her tone as cold as ice, "But, he had already given orders to his followers."
Given orders to his followers already? Rylex's brows jumped as she thought over this, and she frowned deeply after a while. Her brows loosened as she sighed deeply.
"Sigh, bad things never cease to happen do they?"
