Kain stood there the door a few inches from his face. Esmeralda had literally shut the door to his face after pouring out her thoughts to him. He had felt a double impact both of what she had said and that of the door shutting to his face. He raised his hand to the door but stopped midair, she was right about everything. They were discordant no matter how much they try and she was his PA which was not the best factor for a relationship; dating your employee wouldn't make a very good picture to anyone.
