Authors POV
"The break for lunch will soon be over," Victoria thinks to herself as she taps on the table in rhythm with the clock ticking.
She tilts her head and stares at the other students, laughs heartedly. She made to stand up and her sight narrowed for the fourth time today, making her hitch on her footsteps.
Her ears perked up, like one of those hunted creatures when they sense the farmer from nearby.
All of a sudden, she could hear everyone's rapid breathing, students laughing, cheer leaders cheer leading. She could even hear the headmistress, who was in her office far away from where she was discussing.
And some persons groping in the toilet.
It didn't end there, she could also hear some of the cute boys betting on groping her before prom.
"Okay what the fuck is happening?" she mumble to herself. No one could hear her because she was seated alone in the school canteen bench with her backpack placed on the table.
"Whatever it is, it's not going to stop me today."
She stands up dragging her backpack as she does so, along with her as she take slow steps towards the exit.
"5" the clock ticked
"4"
"3" she reaches for the door handle and grabbed it.
"2" she opens it
"1"
She smirks as she hear the school emergency belle echo around the school.

"You are grounded for two weeks!" He dad's voice thundered
"You can't do that to me,"
"I can and I just did. One more word from you and I'm adding to it." He threatened viable upset and stressed.
"Dad…"
"Two months!" He thunders yet again with all seriousness.
She turned to her mother, who has suddenly become busy with checking A SPOON!
She turns away from her mother and looked back at her dad.
"You can't ground me because of some sily prank. It's high school, that's what seniors do!" she tried in reasoning with her dad.
Her dad buffs and buffs as he walks around. Victoria silently chuckle a prayer for her dad not to fall down the house.
He stops pacing around and points to Victoria.
"If it wasn't the fact that you are the brightest among others, I'm hundred percent sure they must have expelled you. I'm surprised they still haven't done that, despite your stupid and childish pranks." Her dad complained before moving away from her to stuff his stuffs in a box.
"It's not a childish prank when you put earthworms in a teachers hat, and bunch of roaches in the deans… "
"Enough!"
It wasn't her dad interrupting her this time around or condemning her. It was someone far worse… Her mom.
Mere looking at her face, you'd know she is not the easy going type.
"One word from you and it's a year straight and I'm not even joking with you." her mom snapped.
Victoria attempts to say something but decide against it.. Momentarily after contemplating.
Victoria mother, Mrs. Hart owns a GYM. She has got amazing triceps and biceps. And anger issues to match.
Victoria got that one( her features and character) from her mom (except the tricep and biceps).
Mrs. Hart's has got that innocent look that makes one think she is all innocent and she can't hurt a fly.
Although she could hurt a fly if she wanted to, but she would rather take out all that aggression on men; bad, sily, and overly aggressive men who thought they could walk over her because she was a woman.
Her mother was once working under a mafia, but that's all in the past now. At least that's what Mrs harts says.
Mr. Hart, Victoria father opened a Gymnasium store for her to use her abilities for good. She has a lot of ladies and gentlemen working as a staff under her and also working out at her gym.
It was an advantage to Victoria In so many ways. She got to learn how to throw a knife, shoot a fake gun, throw a punch and use an arrow.
Folks and bullies feared Victoria in school. Not because he hits them, nor has she ever had an encounter with one, but because they were afraid of what her mom might do to them.
They have this mindset that her mother would hurt them if they do anything to her from as little as scraping her knee or touch a strand of her hair (or share a seat with her).
Her father, Mr. Hart on the other hand, is a scientist. A very busy one. He's never at home when he is needed and at the time of scolding Victoria for her recent antics, he is about to travel yet again after he just got home two nights ago.
"But it's high school." Victoria murmur to herself. "We only live once so why can't I have fun? It's not like they allow me do anything 'fun' while in the house.
Victoria definition of fun wasn't working out or coaching beginners in her mom's gym. Or her mother having her; throw away grown up men around like rag dolls. Or playing video games, partying and winding out as normal people would normally do for fun.
What she had grown interest in was pranking. One she does so well like an expert.
"Silly prank dad said?" she says internally.
A silly prank that she faked the whole school being under attack, putting everyone on their toes."
She couldn't get the image of Mr. Elvis the firmest teacher peeing on his pants out of her head. She smiled to herself as the events of earlier replayed in her mind.
"Well, it looks like I'm going to miss prom." Victoria said sadly before moving away from her parents. As soon as her back faced them she smirked.
"Victoria" She heard her mother call her immediately she took her first step forward, and further away from them.
Victoria turned sluggishly with her smirk gone.
Her mother moved from where she stood and advanced towards Victoria.
"You know," she started, " if you'd actual friends I don't think you would be pulling pranks like this. You could go to the movies, a party, or somewhere that's not a library or your room." her mom suggested.
"Mom! That's not me. I don't like any of that stuff." Victoria says in objection.
"You don't have to like it now, with time you'll get used to it."
Victoria looked at her with disbelief. She shoves her mother's hand away from her shoulders by stepping away from her.
"Victoria, I promise you'll enjoy all of it soon. I did so you could too…"
"Oh! So I have to be a basic bitch like my mom was?"
"It's better than some weird loner!" her mom fired.
Victoria faked a gasp.
"Wow, mother! Way to go in parenting. If you had no idea how to train or speak to your child, you shouldn't have birthed me. Take a parenting class!"
With that Victoria stormed upstairs.
"How did I get a creep as a daughter?" she heard her mother question rhetorically before Victoria shut the door. Bolting it after she got in.
Victoria jumped on the bed and picked up her earphones and plugged it in, as she swiped through her phone, searching for a song in her playlist.
She finally settled on a 'chasing by Nf'. Turning the volume on her phone to the max.
She placed her phone gently on the bed. Tears rolled down her cheeks as Makayla started singing.
"....Go somewhere on the bad days, don't come as often in this sad place. Somewhere I can be loved…"
