Scarlett's mouth dropped open at what Avery said. Her bite was from a werewolf, not a beast? How would she tell her mom? How would she explain this newly discovered paranormal world to Belly?
"When the red moon appears, what should we do? It is still a clear full moon out there." Avery said.
"Maybe we should close the curtains?" Cornelia quavered in fear. She was afraid to even get close to Scarlett.
With her arms folded, Scarlett scoffed and rose from the chair. "I take it you don't believe a word Avery says?"
"Well, I can't believe I am really believing that I am believing Avery."
"Cornelia, she's already a werewolf, so closing the curtains won't help," Avery explained.
"I am not a werewolf!" Scarlett yelled at Avery.
Cornelia sighed. "How much time remains until the red moon?"
"According to Google, we have two hours left."
