Madison was still certain about what she saw, and she was going to prove to herself that she was right.
But before she could make any move, prince Kontas was already out of the bed and when she saw his eyes again it was back to their forest green.
She was beyond confused, she wanted to find out everything about Kontas like it was the only thing that mattered.
" What are you doing here?" Kontas asked annoyed.
He wasn't sure whether she saw his eyes or not, but looking at her stunned expression, kontas knew she did see something.
At that second, he wished he could erase her memory, but he couldn't. It was like she built a barrier over her mind that stops him from intruding on her psyche. And he doesn't like it one bit.
"I brought you food, and you don't have to worry about it being poisoned, I tasted it"
Kontas didn't like the way he made her feel like he doesn't trust her with his life.
Yes, he doesn't trust her, but he believes in his heart that she won't hurt him, which was weird because kontas trust no one.
He went to where the food was kept and started eating with a second thought, and that was so unlike him.
He is always the type of person that was always prudent in what he eats.
"Why don't you use to dine with your family?" Madison asked out of curiosity.
"Because I like being alone" he replied like it was a normal thing for him.
But Madison didn't see it as a normal thing, rather she saw it as punishment.
"Eating with family and friends is fun and exciting, you should try it, "she beamed.
" I will pass," he said coldly, making the grin that was on Madison's face fall.
Now Madison was more than keen to go to the distant verge of the globe if it was the only means to unravel him.
Kontas saw the way her expression changed from that of a smiling face to a frown, and he hates to think he was the reason for that change of expression.
He doesn't understand why he has all these feelings, why he suddenly feels like knowing her story.
His instincts were just telling him to open up his mouth and ask her, and as usual, he was planning that emotional voice speaking to him, but it seemed like his mouth has Its plans, and before he could stop himself, the question came out,
"What about your parents?" Was already out of his mouth.
Madison was surprised when she heard him ask where her parents were. Not because she doesn't want to share her story with someone, but because she wasn't expecting him to ask.
If she were to answer him now, and they start to discuss, that will be their first chat with each other, and she wasn't planning to mess it up.
"My mum and dad died in a car crash"
"When?"
"When I was five".
Madison suddenly felt like telling him everything that happened to her, she wanted to make him trust her and that was what she was going to do.
" After their death, none of my aunty wanted to take me because they weren't in a good relationship with my parents. So, I was taken to an orphanage where I met Ella, my best friend. She was a bad influence"
Madison grinned as she remembered the kind of things she did when she was mistaken.
" Why do I find that so hard to believe?" Kontas asked giving a suspicious look.
" What's hard for you to believe? That I was influenced by my best friend?"
when Kontas nodded, Madison couldn't help but laugh unbelievably.
Did he think that she was stubborn and rebellious even as a kid? This was something that needed to be resolved.
"Am not lying. While growing up, I was known as an angel. I was the only kind, obedient and quiet child there"
"Wow"
"Am serious"
" Fine, let's say you are right, so what happened to you now?" Kontas asked.
He was enjoying their conversation and how Madison's expression changes. It was cute.
"Life" she replied with a shake of her head.
"Life?" he asked.
"Don't laugh"
"I didn't laugh"
" You did, inside your head," she said with a frown on her face.
"Ok yeah I did laugh in my head, but that's because you are funny" he grinned.
That was the first time Madison had ever seen him smile, and it felt nice seeing him smile.
She wasn't even aware when her hand reached up to caress his face.
"I wish you could be smiling like this all the time" she whispered, taking Kontas surprised.
He couldn't explain what he felt at that moment, there was an odd feeling deep down inside him, and he feared reaching out to it.
He was lost for some seconds just staring at the young lady who was making him feel things, he just allowed himself to enjoy that moment, and when he felt himself leaning into her hands and breathing her in, he withdrew his face from her and stood up.
" Do not try getting close to me Madison, or you will regret it"
" Why can't I get close to you Kontas?" she asked, using his name for the first time.
" I mean, I know that you are not a bad person, and am sure you can also feel the chemistry between us"
" You don't know anything about me Madison" he snapped. Why couldn't she get it?
" Then tell me, I want to know about your history too" she pleaded.
Madison never begged anyone, she always has her way to get what she wants.
But with Kontas it was different, she was willing to do anything just for him to be confined in her.
"Just stop Madison!" he yelled, already pissed off. Why was she so damn stubborn?
" Listen Madison, whatever you think we feel is fake. There is no chemistry between us, that's all me. I was born a seducer, only my presence can make you so wet that you have never been before, and am sorry it's affecting you, but as my slave, you learn to handle it. And you will do yourself good if you learn your place."
With that final words, he left the room. He needed space from her, her scent was suffocating him, and he won't have been able to control himself if he hadn't left the room.
Madison wasn't taking a no for an answer. Kontas's resistance to answering her made her more determined than anything.
She was going to find her answers by herself, and the only person that can tell her what she wants to hear was no other besides Hezra.
She just has to find him.
Even if he sees him, how was she going to get the answer out of his mouth when he has clarified that he wasn't going to say anything? Madison just had to find a way to make him talk, and she had a perfect idea.
Things were going to get crazy.
