"Alright then. Lets go have lunch" Just when they were about standing, they heard various exclamation from the entrance of the library.
"Everyone!! Marco Aari is here!!"
"What!!! Marco?" Bella suddenly exclaimed . " On a second thought, I think we should continue studying don't you think?? After all, we have to maintain our spot as top two in class right?" Bella pulled Monica back on the seat and stuffed a random book in her hands while taking one for herself also.
Bella took a deep breath and put on her most serious appearance while she read, with her eyes on the approaching Marco.
"Hello Monica." Marco greeted as he took the seat closest to Monica. "Wow Bella, I never knew you could read an upside down book!" Marco teased with a smug look on his face.
He helped her turn the book to the right side as he watched her face go red in embarrassment. "Um...Marco..I mean..."
'Mwa ha haha'
Marco and Monica both burst into laughter as they watched the red-faced Bella. "Stop it." Bella pouted.
"Okay, okay. Lets get going now. Didn't you say you were starving??" Monica asked and received a rumble from Bella's stomach.
Bella was once again red in embarrassement and quickly rushed out of the library. "Wait!! Your bag..." Monica screamed out but was met with a flying kiss which she caught with a smile.
'This girl...' Monica sighed. "You two are really close huh" marco said. "Yeah... she's like a sister to me. We have know each other for close to eight years now." Monica smiled with a face full of affection.
"That's nice to hear."
"Lets get going before she orders the full restaurant. She's got a very large appetite." Monica stood up with a bright smile before heading out the library with Marco.
The walk to the closest restaurant from the library wasn't too long and they arrived quickly. Surprisingly, Bella was seated in their favourite corner of the restaurant with no food in sight. It came as a shocker to bother Monica and Marco as Bella wasn't the type to wait for others when it comes to food.
People who noticed the all famous Marco Aari in their school's restaurant took a lot of pictures and updated their pages. Marco was already used to such attention so he didn't mind the looks thrown at him nor the exclamation as he walked side by side with Monica towards their seat.
"I was expecting to meet a table filled with leftovers but I didn't expect Bella Slivee to be so reserved." Marco joked.
"Heyyyy, I'm a natural born beauty and a reserved young lady at that. So definitely, I won't start eating without my guest and my best sister." Bella said with a huff.
She was communicating with Marco like they had known each other for a long time but they recently met and just had that natural spark.
Bella in her wildest dream would never believe if someone told her she would one day talk freely to the first and most outstanding bachelor in all of country F, Marco Aari.
The same Marco Aari who she would see on TV and dream of catching a glimpse of in real life, was currently sitting in front of her, laughing and communicating like close friends with her.
This thought put Bella in a really good mood as she wouldn't stop smiling even after their orders arrived.
Their lunch went smoothly with no single word among them. This was because of how focused Bella was on eating and how hard it was for Monica to start a conversation.
After lunch, Bella decided to order desserts which comprises of ice-creams and cakes of different flavors, with a few of her favorite snacks.
"So Marco, are you really the son of Mr Aaron?" Bella suddenly asked.
"Yes. haven't you heard of me before??" Marco asked with arched eyebrows.
"I've heard of you. A little I guess." Bella Replied With twinkling eyes and coiled hands.
'cough cough'
"Really? A little huh" Monica Intercepted with an amused expression. Even without her knowing Bella inside out, the fact that Bella's eyes were going twinkle twinkle little stars was enough prove of her lies.
Moreover, Monica being her closest friend and confidante, she knows all of Bella's schedule as well as her likes and preference together with her obsession with Marco. So it was enough to say Bella has told the greatest of all her lies this day.
"Stop it Monica...You know I don't really pay attention to the social world and the media and a-"
'ha ha ha ha'
It was Marco's turn to let out a fake cough followed by Monica's uncontrollable laughter. How ironic?? Bella Slivee, not putting attention to the social media!
This is a lie that even Mr Slivee would lose his composure if he hears. How could the one and only Bella Slivee, who rank top ten among the famous group of people in all of country not be connected to the media?
And more so, Bella can't survive more than five minutes without social media so how could she even tell such a lie??
"Enough now...I believe you so let's stop this, right Monica?"
"Right right." Monica replied as she stopped laughing, retaining her smile.
"Its high time we get back to the library don't you think?" Bella said as she finished her dessert as quickly as she could before running off with Monica.
"Bye Monica. Catch you Later." Marco screamed out to the departing backs of Monica and Bella. They returned to the library very quickly and finished up with their studies before returning to their dorm.
They arrived at their dorm room, which was on the fourth floor at about quarter to six. Monica went into the kitchen to prepare dinner while Bella retired to her room and as usual, logged into her social media account and tapped on the most trending news.
Monica was about to put the vegetables into the sauce when her phone rang. She quickly turned off the gas and ran outside when she saw the name on the screen.
"Hello brother" she said excitedly.
"Monica, how are you doing?" Max charming voice came from the other end.
"I'm fine brother. I thought you would never call..." Monica said with pouted lips.
"Dont say that Monica. I missed you a lot while on my trip." He explained and his words eventually brought Monica's spirit up.
"Really??" She asked.
"Of course. I even called to ask if you received my gift. Did you?" He asked with A smile.
"Really! Where is it?"
"Come outside and you will see your gift." Max said before he hung up.
