"Ahhhhh...."Mrs Martha screamed in pain. "Keep pushing.."the doctors were in panic as they tried to ensure a safe delivery.

"The head... c'mon keep pushing.." everyone was in a state of panic due to the status of the child they were delivering.

About 10minutes later, a baby's cry was heard. "He's here 'Ha... ha.. ha' my son is finally here.." a middle-aged man was heard laughing in the corridor.

"Congratulations ma'am, its a girl" the doctor said as he passed the child to Mrs Martha. Mrs Martha had a pained expression when receiving the child."My precious.." she said weakly.

After a few seconds deep in thought, she wiped her tears and said " No matter what I'm, I'm gonna protect you" she said in a determined voice.

Meanwhile, the doctor who went to deliver the 'good' news to the middle-aged man was met with a slap."WHAT". The man screamed with disbelieve all over his face.

"WHY... WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE A GIRL"he screamed as he trashed the corridor. "Mr Maxwell... please.. um... control yourself.... this is a hospital..."

The doctors around tried to control him but he rushed into the operating room and landed a slap across Mrs Martha's face. 'Pa'

"I'm.... ssorrry... I.. I tried my best plleassse spare me "Mrs Martha begged as she held onto her swollen cheek.

"YOU UNGRATEFUL B*TCH... AFTER ALL I SACRIFICED FOR YOU AND YOU STILL COULDN'T GIVE ME AN HEIR.. YOU.... YOU" if not for the doctors present, he would have beaten her to death.

"After nine months of stress.... after all I invested in you during this period, after everything...."he kept on screaming with his blood shot eyes.

Mrs Martha had nothing else to say but to plead. She married Mr Maxwell when she was 17. She was the first missy of the Jones family and the heir to the Jones Corporation.

She met Mr Maxwell on her 16years birthday. Mr Maxwell at that time was in charge of the Stars Corporation due to his father's health.

A fifty something year old man coming to a teenage birthday wasn't something to pay attention to because several business men around that age brought their sons to establish a relationship with the Jones.

But this particular man came alone and even mingled among her friends. Unlike other old men Mr Maxwell still possessed his handsomeness from his youth age and was especially dashing.

Mrs Martha was especially friendly to everyone and was always prone to plots and betrays, so her free nature made her his target. From a toast to dance to getting drunk until it ended in bed.

This was how a young and beautiful girl with a promising future ended up marrying an old man. The Jones was against the idea but she insisted he loved her and she was eventually disowned by her family.

At first he was a loving and caring husband who cares and dotes on his wife, but after he discovered she wasn't getting pregnant even after several attempts his attitude towards her made a 180degrees change.

Neglecting his love for her, he got married to another woman a year later and continued until he had a harem of 10.

His second wife Mrs Chloe, was divorced after she gave birth to a girl and four of the remaining wives who were infertile were divorced also.
